Well, my ultrasound turned out okay 2 weeks ago, and my blodwork did as well at that time. I have my 12 week visit in 2 weeks, and then they will check everything again.
Yeah, I have had numerous instances of spotting and such with this one-and I didn't have that with either of my other two. They are thinking it could be either #1-damage in my cervix. etc. from the birth of my first two (large babies with complications) or #2-that it could be stress related. At this point, either scenario could be it.
They don't want to do a pelvic until my 12 week visit though, because if I am at risk for losing it-they don't want to stimulate that area with an exam. I fare a better chance if they wait until the end of the first trimester to do the exam.
Thank you for asking.

I notice when you're not around. It's funny how attached we get to little flat pictures of people on screens
The receptionist in one our Dr's offices spotted so often with her first that she gave up taking time off. She spotted off and on (with cramping and clots a few times) for the whole nine months. Her little lovey is in highschool now ... beautiful and bright!

Default Hello!

Hi friends!!! Aphil, from this last page I see I must say congratulations!!

Amie, I am thinking of you, and thanking you for asking about me and BEST WISHES on a quick and relatively easy recovery from your surgery!

Hello to everyone else! I was a very frequent poster here until I got dragged down by problems at home, and in my serotonin levels, apparently, LOL. I was given a prescription for antidepressants in late October, and did well for about 8 weeks, then got bad again saw doctor again, and my dosage was doubled. I am feeling so much better now.

I have gained some weight, over 10 pounds (okay, I need to lose about 12 or 13 ) but for once, I'm not too upset over it. I've had two great days on plan, since deciding to 'buckle down' two days ago.

I shall try to get here more often from now on, to reconnect to my old friends, and to get to know the ones I don't know yet

Default I'm still around

Well hello gals & guys (?),
I'm popping in and out, lurking. Can't get honest with myself about the food. Appears I want to eat more than I want to write down the cals and thereby be aware of what I'm eating. Exercise is down too, since we came up to CT in Dec.
We're in a more permanent place now, a rented condo, as opposed to the first 2 months we spent in an Extended Stay hotel. I'm starting to feel more at home here but its not that homey. Too cold, this new place with tile and hardwood. I guess the hardwood is good for a workout video.
So I recommit and recommit. My bedtime has also been obscene and this affects my energy of course, as well as my cravings.

Glad to see my old friends around.

Aphil - this is the first I'd heard, congrats
Holly - you're back too - I'll not forget that blazing time when I was posting and making progress with this great group.
Tammy - thanks for your reply, earlier
Amie - a hug to you, your determination is an inspiration to me

good morning all!

Lisi, I'll consider myself recommitted with you! I now have a concrete goal, we're riding to Myrtle Beach, SC in early May for Bike Week. That means I am now working towards being as fit as I can be for the ride, and to feel very good about myself, in leather or in warm-weather little-nothings

What I need to work on is getting back to drinking enough water (really, really helps to eliminate that "I think I'm hungry" feeling) and to challenge myself on the exercise. I work out 5 X a week, but I get "used to" my videos, and don't work hard enough. So I need to either increase my weights, or work longer for improvements.

I found a product I really like, it's L'Oreal Sublime Moisturizing lotion - an everyday allover moisturizer that gives you subtle color. I've been using it for almost a week and I LOVE the faint color and shimmer. My winter-white legs love it too

have a wonderful day, ladies!

Alrighty Holly, we're cruising to the goal. Will you pass through CT? I'm in Trumbull, near Bridgeport. Bet you take I95.

I did count cals yesterday, and again over did it late at night. Went to bed 2am and slept until almost 11!!!! Out of control, I am.

Will be more careful with my choices early on today, sticking to the proteins and veg.

Anyone have trouble with veggies going through fast? This has been the case for me since my hysterectomy, I'd say. Noticed it after a trip to India, although the gastro doc didn't find anything. I wasn't bothered by it after all the years of trying to low carb, but now I want the veggies again.
Any suggestions? I know brown rice is supposed to be a good fiber, but I have trouble with portion control with that, to put it mildly. Anything else?

I tend to eat the veggies late in the day and 24 hrs later voila. Potatoes faster.

Elyse

There were still a few things that were a bit glitchy after the move to the new server. I don't get all the email notes I used to either.

last ps. To rephrase my question above - the veggies don't go thru fast - is just that I'm inclined to get a loose movement afterwards.

Hello Ladies,

To all the newbies, hello and welcome! I havent been in here for a while, just alot going on but no excuse I shouldnt have stopped posting, this really does help, so I will post more regularly!

Not a whole lot been going on here, trying to get "back on track" (again) I gained 6 lbs over the holidays and am really starting to kick it into high gear before my wedding this summer! My oldest son had to have his appendix out a week and a half ago (a surprise) and my youngest son had surgery yesterday on his ear, he's fine now, just had to have another tube put in, poor little guy, he's gone through alot with his ears, but he was very brave and did a great job!

Hi Aphil and I have to be another one to say CONGRATS!! My thoughts are with you in hopes all goes well with you! Hugs

Holly, glad to hear things are turning around for you! Have fun on your trip to Mertle Beach, Im going to see Amie in SC in May to, not biking though, plane, cant wait, big shopping spreee for us, yaaaahoooooo, lol.

And if your all wondering Amie is doing good and is very happy with her results from surgery, she hasnt been in alot of pain just said her back aches alot from having to be bent over! Im sure she'll fill you all in when she gets better though!

Hope you all have a wonderful valentine's day, dont get into those chocolates to bad, lol....my honey made me a stuffed teddy bear at the Build A Bear Workshop, he's adorable and NON edible, LOL

Aphil congrats! When is the little one due?
Holly I have set a goal as well due to my trip to Hawaii on 3/9 to see my son and his wife. I can't wait to see them and visit Maui. I think it has helped me to eat healthier and be motivated. Currently I lost my lbs. from the holidays and I am working on 4 more lbs. I would like to see go away before my trip. I am not sure if that will happen but I am trying. I set a goal of walking 12 miles for the week. This will help I am sure. The scale is in the closet til friday we'll see if I have had any changes then. Even toning up will help with going to get a new bathing suit soon. I set a goal of the 25th for that stroll to the store. I have been journaling my intakes, wt. exercise this helps me to focus.
Lisa I go to bed to early lately 9 and am up around 5 a.m. but its good for days I go to the gym before work. Today I am off to wash my car before work then out to breakfast with a friend. Poached eggs, dry rye 1/2 order of pot. staying within my limits. Walking around the lakes after work 4 miles with a friend it will be 45 out today. Yah!

good morning ladies!

Lisi, can't help you with any advice on that matter...sorry. Wow, I can't stay up past 10 p.m., or if I get on the couch with a blanket, not past 8:30 p.m. But I do get up 5:30 or 6.

Hi Lori!!!! I've been 'away' also. Sorry to hear of your boys' unexpected surgeries. Thanks for letting us know about Amie!

hi cacsmc, congrats to you for losing the holiday pounds. Hawaii, ooo, sounds wonderful!

My shoulders and delts are sore from the Gilad weight workout I did on Monday, I haven't been sore in a while, so that shows I worked hard. So to not overdo for yesterday, I did a longer session of step aerobics, but eliminated the hand held weights I usually use. Ate well yesterday also, Yay!!

Hello to everyone else I've noticed that the days stay lighter longer, and get lighter earlier. Oh, joy!! that is so nice. I especially love any light earlier, as it helps me get up earlier to get the workout done for the day.

have a great day!

Hi Everyone,

How was everyone's valentine's day? Nice here, got pampered which is always a BIG plus dinner, dishes getting done, foot massage, back massage and you can fill in the rest, hehe...

cacmsc, I hear you on you getting motivated for your trip to Maui, I get that way to, gives you something to shoot for, have a great time, sounds fun!

Holly, You give me such inspiration, how in the world can you manage to get up early and excersise, I have to fight with myself to get out of bed, nevermind getting up earlier and getting in some excersise LOL.....I bought a treadmill and love it, I have started walking on that in the evenings while watching Idol or whatever else is on, so I get in 1-2 miles and I work up a sweat so I think its working but I would love to have the "gumption" to get up in the morning and get in a good mile or so! Good for you! Do you workout in the evenings to? I tend to feel guilty if I eat after I excersise so that is also why I do them in the evenings!

Well it is nice here today, suppose to be in the 40's, maybe I'll do a walk after work outside, we have had such a yo-yo winter this year, in 1 week we see, 40's for 2-3 days then its back in the teens-20's for highs, I prefer the 40's and up, lol......

I need to drink water I know that, my problem is I hate the taste of water! If I add like Crystal Light will that still give me what I need or should I keep it plain? My co-worker said it should be fine but I dont know! I dont want to add more crap into my body that dont need to be there!
