  • Hi All! I am new and trying to get back to my old self! I have a 14 month old son and I wanna get back in shape again!

I am currently at 187lbs and I need to get down too 150lb!

I am trying this counting calorie thing and I have NO idea what I am doing!...LoL.. I also walk a little over a mile a day. I am looking into a Workout DvD to do while my son is taking his nap during the day!

As of now, I am trying to stay under 1400 a day.
  • Hi Lisa and Great having you here at 3FC!! Glad you are getting started. I would encourage you to check out the boards and join in whatever discussions or challenges you feel a connection with... it's a great source of support and encouragement. And oh yah a kick in the butt once in a while when we need it too!
  • Good morning ladies!!! Things have been hoping here, but I have started off the day pretty well. so far my bathroom is half cleaned, and the laundry is all washed. and the kitchen got cleaned already. I have not been this on the ball in weeks. Hopefully my food will fall in line too>>>

  • good morning ladies!! I've been absent for a week or so just so glad it's FINALLY spring-like here. I picked up my new motorcycle Wednesday, it is GORGEOUS!! I can give you a link to one of my bike forums where the picture is - http://www.motorcyclecity.com/Street...pic.php?t=3444

  • Oh Holly I am so Jealous!!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!!
  • Wow Holly, it is gorgeous! Lucky you!!!! Congratulations and ENJOY!!
  • Hi all,
I've been reading a bit but not writing. Hopefully I'm back on track. Starting out w/a SBD plan. With no plan, the calorie counts go out the window - and this was my original basis, so I start again for at least 72 hours to get the cravings down (the ol Atkins tricky).
Holly - super congrats, I took a look and it is sweet

  • Hi Elyse... glad you came back out of lurksville! Glad you are back on track!!
  • HI Ladies,

Hope every one had a nice Easter and stayed out of the candy! LOL

Holly~ That bike is bad. You are going to look great on that baby! I know you have been riding as much as possible.... I am still hoping to make it to the beach for bike week if we get a sitter. Nice!

Well I have been doing ok eating and working out. Did over eat on Easter Sunday. I made a meal and all though I didn't eat much all day I ate plenty of the dinner! I did a good work out last night. I got on my treadmill and put it at an "incline", well I did a 30 min speed walk like that and man I was feeling that! I also did my weights after: arms, chest and back. That felt good.

Hope you all stay op... bathing suits will be coming out soon! Going out for a lunch walk.....

Welcome to you new girls! This is a good support group. Lots of info....

  • Good morning ladies!!

Had a pretty good Easter. We went to my mom's house. I only overdid it on the german potato salad with two servings. I even passed up desert, but I did get a small piece of pie later. All in all I think the calorie count worked out. I am not sure, but I estimated. I had a small run in with the tummy bug that has been going around, but I am feeling much better. THe only thing that is good it that it made me drop another pound!!! I will just have to be careful and work extra hard to keep it off!!

  • Yea Ellen.
I, myself am encouraged. I was as low as 206 (after a cmas vacation!) and then put back around 10 lbs. This am it was 212 again. Of course I don't need the scale when I know I'm eating right. Also back to walking a min of 30 min. Got to get back to the 2.5 miles.
I ate dinner late last night and had a couple oz of cheese while getting my DH's food ready for today (he brown bags and this way I don't have to make it in the am). Then I just had a few almonds later.
I had baked salmon steaks, and it was melt in mouth. A real reminder of the joys of a meal - as opposed to grazing.

  • Oh and ladies, send vibes to me to get to bed early. I slacked off to like 1:30 AM and am getting it back to early again.
    thanks

  • Hi all,

I finally got a before and after picture up for anyone who is interested in my surgery photo's . I have a 3 in one shot of my tummy last year and what it looked like at 5 weeks after the tummy tuck. After loosing 70 + lbs. I had rolls of loose skin and damage now it is all gone and was a good choice for me, having lost the weight and kept it off for almost 3 years now. I am so happy with it and am now at 2 1/2 months. It takes 3 months for all the swelling to go down and I am looking forward to that. Now, that scar is very long but it was a trade off. It should fade to white in a year or so? I am now 14 lbs. from my goal weight . I have to target the back, inner thighs and upper arms now.

  • I was surprised egg salad had so many calories in it. I went ahead and made some from the Easter eggs, and before I ate some, I looked it up and 1/2 cup was over 300 calories! I try not to go over 400 calories per meal, so that and a piece of toast was it for me for lunch Sunday and Monday. I don't like days like that, when a low bulk item takes up so much of my budget.
