My first day this month that wasn't a gain. That deserves a celebration, but only a little one, so Yay. I actually didn't end up doing a lot yesterday. Had a long day at work, only to get home and discover I had a large blister on the bottom of one of my toes. Tried to do my evening walk, but didn't even make it off my street before I decided the blister hurt too much. It was quite a bit better this morning though, so I did do my morning walk. Hoping today is a better day. The 5th to the 10th is always my busiest time at work, though, so we'll see.

kfunk: I can't blame TOM fluctuations. I've been on continuous use BC patch for the last 10 years, so don't have a TOM anymore, which is fabulous. I used to have horrible debilitating migraines every month for 2 days. Ever since I went continuous use, I don't have them ever anymore.

Bit frustrating on the scales. Ok i'm staying put, which is what i'm supposed to be doing, but I've still been eating in diet-mode (because I want to spend extra calories on Thursday).

momtopands sending lots of sympathy and some harsh words for your scales. That's not fair. Just ignore them, they'll see sense soon.

lacerta you deserve a win on the scales - you've done really well with your discipline this last week, and great with all the exercising. Keep it up!

dimples yay for the mini whoosh, and good to know that you've been eyeballing correctly with your portions etc. Yep think the soreness and the water retention go together, so you might be good on that score from now on.

nicoley
you've had a bit of a bumpy road recently - it will be good to see some steady losing for you. Well done for posting even when you had an off-plan day

kfunk you probably do better money-wise with the little challenges - at least you're getting some back regularly. Mine's been locked in since January. I fancy doing a Maintainer when this is finished though, I think that might actually be useful, although I haven't seen any on offer and the search function can't find them either but maybe that's because i'm not eligible yet, i.e. I haven't completed a challenge yet?

ophelia ooohhhh nooooooo on the coffee creamer story! Wow! 200 calories in a cup! Is that really what coffee with cream/sugar or whatever can contain? What a shocker!! I love coffee but drink it just black, no sugar, always have, but didn't know it added up so much with the normal extras in there! Good you've found out now at least.

yangtzer nice effort on the walking, and good you're back to posting again. Is it easy to get out and walk from where you live?

Well i'm taking a lieu day today but it's cold and rainy here so i'm going to go to the dreaded shopping centre this morning (yes, partly because it's warm and dry there) and tackle the bra situation..... Mine are mainly far too ancient and don't fit any more, so I really need replacements, but it's just such a pain trying on bra's because there's no way of figuring out what's going to fit really, you just have to try heaps on. Not my favourite occupation.

Start: June 1, 2018 ~ 252.2
Goal for the month ~ 242.2 (10lbs)
Current Weight ~ 249.4
Lbs to go ~ 7.2

6/1 ~ 252.2
6/2 ~ 251
6/3 ~ 251.8
6/4 ~ 251.8
6/5 ~ 250.2
6/6 ~ 249.4

So. Happy. Finally broke past 250. Hello new decade! I hope I actually get to stay.

Everything seems on point so hopefully my body is done acting stupid for a bit and I'll get to see a downward trend start again. Fingers are so crossed.

nicole, Lacerta and Momtopands I hope you all start seeing the scale cooperate better too soon!

Ange Bra shopping, boo. I have bras that are in perfectly good shape that I haven't been able to wear in a good while so I wont have to do that shopping trip for a while.

Everyone have a great day!

kim- congrats on your whoosh and entering a new decade!!! Great job with your strength training!

Lacerta- Ouch! I hope that the blister heals up nicely, but great job getting in your walk with it! That is awesome that the BC was able to stop your migraines. I get them randomly and they knock me on my butt. I hope that the scale moves down for you today!!

Momtopands- Knowing that there are normal fluctuations doesn’t make it any easier to deal with. Great job sticking to your plan and I hope you come back down soon!!

Nicoley, Joe and everyone else- Waving hi!

Ange- I also have thought about doing a maintainer bet when I am done!! I have seen them before, I wonder if they only release them at certain times? I hope that you were able to find some good bras!

nicoley: You and me both. This will be my first week with an overall gain since I started in March. Boo!

I'm just continuing to eat around 1500 calories a day (baseline + walking is about 3200), get lots of water, and walk twice a day. Eventually, the scale will stop being a jerk. Got my two walks yesterday, and stretching, but didn't use my Wii. By the time I was home from work and had dinner, it was time for my walk, and I don't like to do both so close together. Next week, I'll be back to less hours at work and will be able to get more exercise in.

I did measure myself a few times in May, most recently on the 29th. I'm trying to just measure once a month now, so I can see actual change, but wanted to see whether anything at all was happening, so I measured yesterday, my waist was down 1/2" and my fanny was down 1/4" since the 29th. So yay!

Since I'm not sure I will make my weight goal this month with strength training mixed in, my alternate goal is to be able to button my size 18 regulars. Right now, I can get them up, but they are maybe an inch from being buttoned.

Coming to post a TMI NSV. This morning put on my nude t-shirt bra to wear under my work shirt, and it was too big. Like not just a little gappy but can't wear, scramble to find a different outfit too big. I guess I haven't worn it in a couple of weeks (been wearing a lot of black lol). I rummaged around in my stash of smaller bras and found one that would work, a little tighter than I like but...not much. I'm shocked and happy, and my daughter thought I was completely insane for celebrating. Keep up the good work everyone! You might not see it on the scale every day, but you're putting in the work and it will happen.

Scales are down, 4x new bra's, sleeves of knitting done up to the decreasing bit at top, and a good chunk of the jigsaw on the dining room table finished. I'd call that a productive day! Loved having a mid-week lieu day!

Ange: Joining a Transformer DietBet right at the start of the year sounds like it was a good idea! A lot of resolutionists start up around then and then ghost on things, which is sad, but at least someone can still benefit in spite of their hesitation. And, yes! I don't even really use a ton of creamer and never any added sugar (I usually even use the sugar-free creamers, hence the mistake), so I was surprised there was that much of a difference between the two!

kfunk: I'm glad you were able to get into the doctor to get the ball rolling on figuring out what's up! Did they give you anything extra for the pain in case you have any issues before the endoscopy appointment comes along? Hopefully you won't need anything, but it would be nice to have something in case, because I know how painful even the general aching of a gallbladder issue can be. Sending hugs in the meantime!

Kim: Congrats on the nice losses back to back and for hitting a new decade! And, yes...I was completely miffed at myself about the mistake, and I'll definitely be watching my labels more closely from now on, lol.

nicoley73: I'm glad you had a nice drop today, and I hope you get another one tomorrow like you're hoping!

Lacerta: Glad that your blister is starting to heal up...ouch! And, I like the "little yay" celebration, lol. Congrats on the new measurements, as well!

momtopands: Oh no! I hope sticking to the plan gives you a nice whoosh soon!

SnowMama: Congrats on the NSV!

Joe: Yes, that makes sense...and, nice work on the walking!

-----------------------------------------

Yesterday was so busy that I never got a chance to hop on here, but I was at 174.2 at weigh-in. Today's weigh-in was 174.0. However - because yesterday was so busy and I didn't even get home until after 9pm - I ended up eating less than a thousand calories and only got in one water bottle (2.2 liters), so the combo of low cals and low water might mean I will bump up tomorrow after a more normal day today. Especially since TOM started today, as well. We will see what happens.

Week One
01: 175.8
02: 176.0
03: 176.0
04: 174.6
05: 174.2

ange Thanks for those harsh words to the scale, I was ready to do violence to it's person! It worked for today since its offered a better number today. And you're making me want to knit!

TooManyDimples Congrats on the new decade! Fingers crossed you get to keep it. I'm right behind you(if the scales will cooperate)

Kfunk Yes, I don't like acknowledging the truth of fluctuations but quitting is not an options so i'm staying on track no matter what!

Snowmama Congrats on your NSV! Sometimes those are better than a whoosh!

Lacerta I'm crossing my fingers you get a whoosh tomorrow!

Ophelia You're sneaking down towards a new low! Keep up the good work! I'm hoping we both get a whoosh soon!

Well he scale went the right direction today after many threats I did go back up on my calories because after doing more research I think i've dropped too low. Hopefully i'll finally get back to consistently going downward.

Pardon me for not doing personals, but I am enjoying hearing everyone's news. Sort of 'active lurking' I suppose! Happy to see how committed everyone is to staying the course, no matter if the results are immediate or delayed. Kudos!
