The bad news is I completely went off keto yesterday. It's so hard to try to stay on plan when family is visiting. My mom's major love language is food. It's sooooo hard to not give in to all the yummy things she makes. So yeah, I'm probably just gonna go ahead and accept that I'm going to be off plan through the weekend.

The good news is after yesterday the scale didn't move this morning! So for the bit of time left this month my mission is going to be to just maintain where I'm at.

I gotta start getting ready to do my drop off for my sale and then we have a full day planned of things to go do with the kids so I got to get moving. Hope everyone has a great Friday!

  • Well the bump up yesterday dropped back off today plus more for a new low!

  • chunkah: huge CONGRATS on the NSV. I love fitting into old clothes even more than seeing a new low on the scale.

Catherine Rose and nicoley: you guys are both smaller than my goal weight, so try to remember that at your weight, loss will be slower, so any loss for the month is a huge win.

snowmama: good luck on hitting goal, you are so close, and I second the notion to buy at the smaller end. If you buy something too comfortable right now, it won't last long. If you buy it just a little snug, you'll get a bit more use out of it.

Jenyreddy: Welcome to the forums and good luck to you for July Thread should be starting up soon.

ophelia: I feel your pain. Took me 11 days to get back to a new low this month after my bump. But you flew through the 170s, so a little bump up won't slow you down much. Congrats on being back into the 160s.

ange: Hope your weekend goes well. Make sure you are getting enough to eat now that you are transitioning to maintenance. I don't envy you trying to find that right balance. In many ways, losing can be easier than maintaining.

Kim: Hey, you're still down more than a pound a week for the month. That is always something to celebrate. Remember, a pound a week is over 50 pounds in a year. Every pound down is a win. Good luck with your maintaining around family.

pands: Congrats on another new low. I love seeing those.

kfunk: Big congrats on staying under goal for the end of the month.

cattails: Big congrats to you too for making goal a few days ago (sorry, haven't done personals for a few days)

    YAY!

I originally said I was going to go for 240.0 for the month. I have a timeline of where I need to be each month to hit 199 by New Years, and I have 240.0 for June on that. I changed it to 239.6 when my end of May weigh in came in lower than expected, but 240.0 is where I hoped to end the month. For most of the month, I didn't think I was going to make it, so this is really exciting for me. And I may even still make my official goal for the month tomorrow. But even if I don't, I"m thrilled with how this month has turned out.

Also, I officially hit 10% weight lost. I get to check off another minigoal in my signature. I find it odd that I've lost 1/10th of me, and barely gone down one pants size. But I carry weight distributed all over, and seem to be losing it the same way (not a bad thing). So it takes a long time for those little bits here and little bits there to add up to a lost size.
  • Way to go, Cattails and kfunk6113! Did I miss anyone?

For JenyReddy and anyone else looking forward to next month, I'll plan to get the July challenge going later today.

  • Well, I made my goal and then some. I weighed myself like 10 times this morning because I can't believe it. I'm sure it will come back up a little, but I had the mother of all whooshes. I had been about even (166+/-) for about 2 weeks, and I guess this is all the water filled fat cells leaving the building. I have been drinking more water, plain water, because I had a nasty reaction to the carbonation in La Croix, so I don't think this is a dehydration loss.

    Good job kfunk and cattails!

    June Summary: 3.5lb loss

Well end of June weigh in done and I had a bit of a whoosh the last two days which means that for my first month of Maintenance, I've lost 3.5lb. I'm happy with that as a starter test. Previously I was losing 7-8 lb a month I think (will go back and figure out exactly what later), so the increases I've made with calories has slowed down the loss but weren't enough to maintain. This is excellent news - I get to eat more I wanted to err on the side of losing rather than gaining as I figure out what I can eat, so it's all good., and now I've got wriggle room that i'm very happy to be in.

SnowMama: Hurray for your super-whoosh!!! Great that you got to see it 10x too !! Very well deserved I say. Treat yourself to an extra little happy-dance. Even better that it's for work already done and not just a dehydration blip.
GardnerJoy: Thanks as always for managing the thread, and thanks in advance for the July one. Don't I get a red?!! Awwww. Harsh
Lacerta: Yay!! Fantastic work by you. 10% is a great milestone. Yeah, it is weird to think about there was previously more you, and now it's gone.
CatherineRose: Sorry to hear you're not feeling good. Yep, maybe some electrolyte type drinks would be a good idea. Hope you feel better soon
kfunk: you've been doing amazingly (in a quiet way). You must be really pleased with your progress at the moment. Enjoy your time away
momtopands: A great reward for your consistent work. New lows are super exciting. Really well done that you've stuck at this and seem to be getting the job done amazingly. How's your daughter going these days?
dimples: sorry you went off plan. On the other hand there's more than one way to skin a cat - if the keto is off, you can still make good choices and feel pleased with yourself at the end of the weekend. Good luck!

  • Of course you get red, ange82much! Congrats on your first month of maintenance!

  • What an exciting finish!! Congrats momtopands on your new low, snowmama on that epic whoosh, and Lacerta on hitting both 10% and your original June goal!

Thanks ophelia and Lacerta re: NSV. I love fitting into older clothes too, Lacerta. I'd say for me that's probably tied with dropping into a new decade in terms of the thrill it gives. I think I partly enjoy it so much bc I hate shopping, so it's lovely being able to use the clothes I already own

Bravo again to the chicks who'd already hit goal this month!
  • snowmama: I've never seen a whoosh like that one. You sure you didn't wake up minus a liver or something? That's great. Here's hoping you got to keep at least some of it today.

So I managed to hang on to my 240.0, but wasn't quite able to drop into the 230s for month end. Still, I'm very happy with that result. Off to July.

  • Just doing my final check-in for the month before moving to the next thread. The massive stall in the second half of the month absolutely tanked the decent progress I had been making in the first two weeks, so I only ended up losing 4.8 lbs overall for the month of June. Definitely not overjoyed with that number, but at least there was still some kind of loss to show. I usually do a full-month overview of my logging on my last post, but since all of the formatting is now ruined by the update, I'm just going to post it in a "Start Weight/Final Weight/Goal Weight" format.
