Can I join in. I'm glad its a new thread - I was a little scared to post in the last one. I'm 27 from the UK and recently weighed in at my highest weight ever which makes me want to cry. I'm quite tall so I've always "carried my weight well" but the 30 or so lbs that I've put on this year have tipped me over the edge - I no longer look or feel good.

So here is the beginning of the rest of my life. I'm going to start low carbing from tomorrow and hopefully I'll get and give lots of support here on this forum.

Hello Again! You may not have realized I was gone but I went on vacation to see my family in North Carolina. It was a goodtime ofcourse but I was definitely confronted with all the foods that made me pleasantly plump in the first place. I realized that home is where the stomach grows when my granny served meatloaf, mashed potatoes, chicken and dumplings and corn muffins with tiny corn on the cobs and a little pot of greenbeans with a ham hock simmered inside. Luckily I love my motley southern crew.

And now to my point: back at work and on to my WW meeting I am 167.2!!!! That's only 2.2lbs from my HS weight!! I lost 1.4lbs at home!!!

Brit & Matilda08: You two are looking fab!

Miss Coco & Sunny: You're new to me WELCOME!!

My loss has definitely slowed over time but I am trying to stay positive this week. I remind myself daily that a loss is a loss from .2-2lbs.

Matilda
: It's a new day and if you stay focused you'll get there. What are you doing for workouts? I sometimes find that long slow workouts bump the numbers. I have a lot of time though...

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to get in on this positive sister thread. My struggle is getting easier, but I need all of you to get through this. Left the 260's just today...all is well.

Hello Fattiegirl (it feels odd calling you that!) Congrats on leaving the 260's behind!

I must confess that I've mostly been doing prep and not much dieting since I first posted. I've been and done my big diet shop today and it all starts tomorrow! I've decided to low carb as I think that my body responds best if I keep away from the sugar. Wish me luck ladies.

Default Hi Ms. Coco

Hi Ms. Coco,
Yes, Adkins always gave me the fastest results and made me full of energy faster than any other plan. I used to master the "mini-binge" when I wanted to cheat....lol. I always felt everyone could have successful weight loss but me, but I am making this happen. I can relate to much of the grief shared on this site, but for the first time I can now say I can relate to the successes as well. Something about this site and association makes this work. I wish you much success Sis.

weekend was going great......until i got the urge to binge and i gave into temptation.im literally sick to my stomach right now...sigh. its a new month, so time for a new start..no cheating until thanksgiving.

i have also decided i will start maintaining at 145 rather than going down to 140 and maintaining under 145, cuz honestly, im tired of loosing weight ladies, staying strictly under 1400 cal, etc. exercise is no problem, its just i been getting hungrier lately & eating maintenance calories will serve me just right. plus the holidays are coming, exams will be here, stress, etc.if i wanna go down to 140 , i know i can cuz i know HOW to lose weight whenever i want.but i plan on start maintaining once i get to 145..maybe when it gets back to spring time, i'll wanna loose another 5lbs.

Good morning Laides!!
I had a good weekend. I only lost .75 total inches. I was okay with it because there was no gain. This month I will be getting in two workouts a day during the week and will see about the weekends.

Brit
- I think that's a great idea. You look great where you are.
Matilda - I'm with you shedding weight is getting more difficult and it's going to cost me a lot to get to that size 12 by Thanksgiving.
FattieGirl - Welcome. Come often and post also. We are all working so we may as well do it together.
