I started the same day and, from looking at your stats, have about the same amount of weight to lose. I feel different after the first day too (maybe it's just mental). Good luck with the program!

Hello,
Well, I got my box yesterday and read through the material and did the fitness test. I'm going to watch the dvd and listen to the CD tonight. I'll start tomorrow morning.

Hello Again,
Well, I started the program this morning versus yesterday. I thought it went well and the time went by fairly quickly. I just used 5lbs throughout the whole workout to gauge for the next time around if I needed to adjust up or down. I still feel it in my legs although I stuck to the 5lb weight. All in all I feel good about the whole thing.

Have a great weekend.

Well I did the burn 3 today. It is starting to get a little easier (meaning I don't feel like passing out or vomiting when I am done). My lower body is still pretty sore but it seems to be getting better. I love her motivation tape as well!

Hi everyone! I'm new to 3FC. I found the forum doing a web search for Chalean Extreme. I read all of the posts in this thread and then joined the forum. Lots of awesome support here

I've just finished week two of the Burn phase. I feel awesome. I was a TJ junkie for the last couple of years and while it did help me lose a bit of weight and definitely expanded my endurance, I found that it doesn't really tighten me up and I plateaued for the last few months. I was a little scared of CX but after two weeks, I feel so much tighter and fitter. I will say, however, that although I'm looking forward to checking my measurements at the end of this phase, I'm also a bit frightened that my results won't be up to my expectations.
I hope, by the end of CX, to weigh 9 lbs less. I have two little girls and with each pregnancy, I gained 65 lbs + (I stopped weighing myself at 210lbs). I lost the weight after about 13 months (with both) but it has left my body very out of shape, even with the TJ. I'm hoping the weight training will help with this.

Bottom line is that I really want to feel comfortable in a bathing suit as I take my kids swimming a lot and it's when I'm in the pool (or rather, walking to the pool from the changerooms) when I feel subconscious and uncomfortable. I don't expect to look like an informercial "after" photo, but I simply want to *feel* comfortable in my own skin. I want to feel fit.

So, that's my deal I'm happy to be here and a part of this community. I don't have anyone in my life to talk to about working out, so I'm very grateful to have found this forum.

Also, I tried adding an extra cardio (TJ) workout into the mix this past week, but my lower back is so very sore (not sure if it's from the workouts or weeding the garden), so I'm trying to keep strictly to the CE program. Also, I walk a lot with my little one in the stroller, and adding an extra workout is difficult time-wise for me. Maybe as I get stronger, this will be more do-able.

Monkeywish - Thanks for the well wish.

I really don't like cardio and when I worked with personal trainers in the past I did about as much cardio as this program and it worked out just fine.

I'm going to use some bands for the heavier weight for now. Since I'm only doing this program for a month and then not back on it for a couple months, I don't want to invest in selecttechs at this time. I think the bands will work just fine for now.

Today is day three and its going well. I think on the days that is the shorter workout times I'll do the workouts before work and the days on the longer times I'll do it after work.

Hi everyone,

My start date got postponed a week because I had family in town for the past few days and have been insanely busy. So I am starting this coming Sunday. I went out today and bought the Powerblock adjustable dumbbells. I thought about it a lot because they are expensive, but I figure they are an investment - I am pretty serious about exercise so there is no doubt that they will get used. They are sooooo coool!!! I am excited to start using them on Sunday. Hope everyone is doing well!

A question - those of you who do Turbo Jam to supplement the cardio, which Turbojam video(s) do you use?

Thanks!

Maheen

I started burn phase week 2 this week but then I got really sick and I haven't done anything else all week. I can't decide if I should re-start with week 1 or week 2. Any ideas?

As for making time ITS really something you have to figure out for your self where you can cut time on other things AND ALSO MAKE A COMMITMENT TO YOURSELF THAT IT IS WHAT YOU WANT and some how you will make time and people around you eventually UNDERSTAND your COMMITMENT as they see your results and your RESOLVE THAT YOU MEAN IT THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for your motivating words

Talking Hey everyone!

Hey guys! I just found this thread today! I have been doing CLX for about a month now and I love it. I have to admit, I don't follow the calendar exactly. I am doing each circuit for 2 weeks instead of 4 weeks (because I get bored pretty easy). I also do Turbo Jam after my circuit training and on my off days. Sometimes I will mix in Insanity or some 10 minute trainer workouts also.

I read hundreds of posts from the first thread that started in 2008! I had to join in, it's so motivating!

I did 1 month of Insanity a few months ago, which kicked my butt so hard I got sick and stopped working out until the end of April. Now I am 100% motivated and hope I can help motivate everyone else already doing the program or starting the program!

I took my measurements after already doing it for 1 week, but will post those soon. I will have to take new measurements in a week or two also. I never weigh myself in between 30 day measurements, I like to base my results on how much I love my body in the mirror haha

Tomorrow I am doing Push Circuit 3 and Turbo Jam 20 minute workout. Can't wait to have workout buddies!

P.S. I played numerous sports (basketball, track, tennis, etc.) for over 10 years until I was 18 -19. Was always in great shape. I haven't played sports in about 8 - 9 years and it has hit my metabolism lately so I am motivated to get my body back and keep it!

When was the last time you did your P90X workout? I would just jump back in wherever you feel like you left out (i.e. the last time you were following the plan to a "T"). Don't sweat missing it or messing up - we all do that sometimes, we all fall, just gotta pick yourself back up and keep going! Once you are back in it once you get a week behind you, you will feel motivated all over again!

I know what you mean about Tony - not my favorite personality. I have P90X but don't want to do it until after CLX. I may start mixing it together once I get two months of CLX in. I don't usually stick with the calendar plans they give with their routines - I take them and mix a variety of workouts together and just keep my core routine on plan (as much as I feel the need to haha). Your life, play by your rules, just gotta figure out what they are lol
