Good morning ladies! How is everyone.

Boy Holly with all the workouts you do-- you make me tired!

Jill, I have not talked to you before as I am new to this site, but congrats on the job. I work in the medical field, and if I had the stomach to be a nurse, I would want to be in the ER. It seems you would never have to "watch the clock" being in there..... always something new. Good Luck!

My oldest son is tossing around the idea of going to Kosovo on a "peace keeping" mission. I am not exactly happy about it..... but it is the best thing for him right now.

Please keep a family in your thoughts and prayers. We bought my 09 Dyna in Mid-January at the HD dealership in Memphis, TN. The little girl that did our paperwork was the cutest and sweetest person you would want to meet. Well, we found out yesterday that she was missing. Last night when I was watching the BL, I saw a news clip--- they found her dead. She had been killed by an apparent stalker who then left a note where to find her and then as the police came to question him he killed himself. It is horrible. She was so young and beautiful. Just keep that family in your thoughts please.

Got to get busy...... Y'all have a good day.

I got to ride to work last Friday, I rode a little Saturday...... but none after that b/c they were calling for storms Monday with a temp of 78, now today there is a 90% chance of snow. Welcome to Arkansas. If you make it through the Winter without at least one cold related to the weather switch you deserve a medal. I still don't have 300 miles on it yet.

BUT, we are taking a business trip to New Orleans on April 2. My fiance and I are riding bikes so I can get my 1000 miles in before we go to Vegas AND to see if I can stand the long riding days for our trip to Vegas. I have never ridden over 4 hours at a time. We will see......

good morning chicks

Ladyrider, a business trip to New Orleans on bikes sounds great!!and a good way to test your endurance on the road for long miles.

this morning I did Gilad's Fat Burning video (all cardio, 30 minutes) thn his Hips BUns Thighs tape (only 15 of 20 minutes, I pooped out!!) THEN his Abs tape (11 minutes of 15) whew. Before you think of how admirable that is, I had ice cream last night I wouldn't have, if it wasn't in the house!! ANd I didn't buy it. But I did eat it. So no sympathy for me

gotta get ready for work, have a great day everyone

good morning! I wisely didn't come back to post, I had 3 beers last night

It is freakin frigid here!!! It's 2 or so out there. But very very pretty. There was a very bright big moon that just slipped behind the mountain in our front view, and now that mountain has a pinkish glow from the morning sun. Ver pretty. but still toooooo cold.

I haven't exercised yet, but I will. Need more coffee first.

That sounds beautiful Holly

I managed to get ina little exercise yesterday. I jogged/walked for about 35 minutes and I did 30 push ups and about 20 sit ups. I am working on the 100 push up challenge, 200 sit up challenge and Couch to 5K. I am doing all that to train for Expedition Everest Challenge 2009

Yesterday, my husband was rear ended on his way to work, he was on his motorcycle so its a miracle he wasn't seriously injured. His bike was knock into the oncoming lane but no one was coming, he didn't even drop the bike, never came off of it. His back is feeling a little wrenched and is on on some muscle relaxers, and the bike will need a new rear tire. The guys license plate cut into the tread of the tire.

Mandy - OMgosh!!! I'm so glad he is OK. Kudos to him for being able to keep it upright! what were the circumstances, was traffic stopped and the person behind not paying attention? was the person ticketed? I hope so!

also, great job on getting that exercise!! I signed up for the 100 push up challenge and promptly forgot about it

this morning I did The Biggest Loser Cardio, just 25 minutes. Then some Cathe abs. I hope my 30 DS comes soon!! ChopperChick and I are gonna sweat it out together

it's payday, that's a good incentive to go to work

have a good one chicks!

he was sitting at a red light, it had turned green, he had started to go, had both feet up on the pegs, slipping his hand off the clutch and the guy behind him, hit him. since there was such minor damage, police wasnt called, this kid is in the navy WAY lower rank than my husband...lol. The kid is going to pay for the cost of the tire.

OMGosh Mandy, that would have been so scary, I have seen to many hit from behind and the bikes would be totalled. It is so nice to hear that he kept it up and that you only need a back tire That is still so scary...

Holly we must have been thinking along the same lines last night when I got home DH was waiting and we went out for dinner and beer, I pretty much drank dinner as well..... However I did have more than 3 beers probably more like 5 and we didn't get home till 11 then off to bed. I am feeling a litte tired today as I just got home from work, didn't get any exercise in yesterday and so far none today. We are going to help my son move into his new apartment tonight so I should be exercising right now but feeling quite lazy....

Ladyrider, business trip to New Orleans sounds like an awesome ride, take some pics and post them when you get back. We were invited last night to a poker run in April called Flood Run, going to pull the website to see what it is about but it is along the MN and MI border, they say it is really cold and to go buy hand and feet warmer packets..... I am going to check it out before giving them an answer on whether we will be going or not, but probably because I am so ready to ride.....

Well talk to you guys later maybe tonight but forsure tomorrow

Mandy, I am so glad your husband is okay. I hope the kid that rearended him got a "lesson" from it. I hate to "profile" however, since riding a motorcycle I have definately learned that some drivers will pull out in front of you a lot quicker than others (intentionally). Mostly people that would NEVER ride a motorcycle. Younger ladies in the "mini van maffia" will pull out in front of you (actually SUV drivers are more apt to also), older ladies, older men.... I could rank them but wont. There are others. I think some is a lack of understanding about how it feels to not be in a cage..... and some is lack of concern. I have heard "we" chose to ride unprotected in a vehicle..... and that is the risk we take, which it is...... but a little caution would go a long way. Okay...... I am off my soap box now.

Holly and ChopperChick, you two deserved to have drank your supper last night! Gosh the stress that everyone has been under lately is unbelievable.

ChopperChick, I am not sure if I am woman enough to do a ride that you have to have warmers yet. I am hoping it is warmer when we go to New Orleans. It is supposed to be warmer Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Gosh, I hope it stays warmer this time. I don't want to do this whole 78 and then 32 the next day again..... it is rough on the kids.

I have rambled enough for the night. I am going to sleep a little early. Hope you have a good weekend everyone.

Tammy

I have heard that too...what BS, huh! like "if anything bad happens, you deserve it for letting yourself be in that situation". Classic 'blaming the victim'. I'll get off my soapbox too

This morning I did Denise Austin's Sizzler, which is cardio/strength intervals. About 40 minutes. Then I went to my mom's, where we then went to my ex-step-grandma's house to visit. She is 100 years old. She lives in an assisted living complex, in her own little apartment with her kitty Sebastian. And she is still as sharp as ever. She is a wonderful lady. To put things in perspective....she was married in 1926

I have learned though that, even though my mom has quit drinking on her own, I still do NOT NOT NOT want ever to ride in a car with her! She is 75, and let's face it, some people lose quick reactions and judgment and such. I was like using all my body language LEANING to the passenger side, because she was hugging the yellow line on her side!! and not reacting quickly to green lights, and having a hard time seeing when the sun was facing us...scary.

Does anyone remember the uber funny movie from late '70's "What's Up Doc" with Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neil? I was desperate for something to watch last night (300 channels on satellite and nothing worthwhile!!) and had forgotten that we had that movie on dvd. OMG it is sooo funny.

I watched it on our little portable dvd player in bed last night solo, while hubster was watching Battlestar. But he likes it as much as I do. Madeleine Kahn is just absolutely freakin hilarious. I think it was her first major role. Anyway, it just shows that there can be movies made without one bit of profanity or nudity (not that I have anything against either ) and still be sooo entertaining. Oh and John Ritter, RIP, had a bit role in it! He was a skinny young guy.

*edit - duh to me, wrong movie about John Ritter! That was another screwball comedy, something with Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase.

good morning! today I did The Biggest Loser Cardio, 25 minutes. Should have done an hour's worth, I had ice cream last night..

I'm proud of our son, he geared up for the 20 degrees outside and rode to work

I think it's supposed to get over 40 here on Tuesday, then rain Wed. and Thursday, I welcome the rain! Itll make our driveway so sloppy and muddy but it's a necessary step towards getting rid of snow.

gotta get ready for work soon, bleh. Have a good day!
