  • I wish I owned it to, that would give me good reasons to come that way and enjoy the parties and meet everyone.....

Grey hair I have it andt is mostly where my hair parts or that is where it is the most noticeable, I just can't take it anymore I will do something with it before this weekend I just have to get the nerve to do it myself.

Maybe I should go blonde so that I don't have to see them any longer either but then I will have to worry about roots, not sure which would be worse????

Great job on staying away from cookies today and getting all the extra exercise in today- I just did what I had to.

Well chickies have a great night talk to you tomorrow
  • Good morning chicks! The sun is shining and it's supposed to get to 50 today...but it's 20 out now. Husband left for work half hour ago on bike, when it was like 19 1/2 degrees...OMG!! I really, really would love to ride to work, but even by 10:15 am, it's not gonna be much warmer...I am a wimp

Just finished Day 9 Level 1 of 30DS. And did a few 'free-form' other exercises, just another 10 minutes or so.

that's it for now, hope everyone has a good day
  • I do not color my hair, I am a natural blonde with it going down to my mid back (if Wayne did not ask me to keep it long, I would sooooo cut it to my shoulders). Before this diet it was naturally VERY thick..... but it is thinning now. Anyway, about 10 years ago I let a beautician talk me into shaving underneath where it gets frizzy (trying to take natural curl from my mom) and on the sides. BIG MISTAKE. It grew back GRAY. Everywhere that was shaven is gray....... so I kinda just let it be. I would like to have it all one color, but I don't want to start dying anyway now-- unless it starts going grey on top. I hate to see a blonde with grey roots half way down. It makes the blonde look sooooo bad. I do think I am going to get more layers though-- I am not too daring before the trip to Vegas though.

I have checked KOA. We may go with them. Not sure yet. The shower is a plus, but it was my "out" of camping....... if I don't like it.

I am getting a little nervous. I am about 6+ weeks away........

I hope the drive to N.O. is nice. I have never been there before.

You ladies have a good day. Say a little prayer for me-- Zeke (my youngest) just passed his drivers part (car) of the driving test..... he drives a motorcycle very well (knock on wood) and he has had his permit for that for a year...... but the car-- not so much. He is not getting one anytime soon--- although he is showing improvement, he still is not off the leash anytime soon.

Y'all have a good day. Holly, resist the cookies-- you are doing great.
  • (...saying a little prayer for LRider and son on 4 wheels.....)

good morning ladies. I did not stay on the wagon yesterday. What a funny expression that is, but I definitely fell off two steps forward with my consistant exercise, one step back with the carbs/sweets. I will get ahead eventually, lol

Well, dh got my bike out for me this morning (I had forgotten how loud she is ) BUT the weather forecast is changing by the hour It was to be sunny, 48, with clouding up this afternoon and rain this evening...now it's overcast, 42 and the rain is supposed to start midafternoon, and I don't finish work til 6:00 pm Sigh!!!! tomorrow is supposed to be much better, sun and 50 - 52, I just might have to be patient ONE MORE DAY.

Did 30 DS Day...10? is that right CChick? I think so. Tomorrow we get to do Level 2, Oh joy!

have a great day chicks Gina, Gina...is everything OK? and helllooo Jill Hope Sass is good! Last pics I saw of her she was FINE
  • I know how you feel with being antsy about the weather and wanting to ride. I have not been on mine all week. The weather is playing games with me. But, just think, at least we are not at the end of the riding season, we are at the beginning---- patiently (yeah right ) awaiting for the good weather to be here.

Holly, you do so well on your exercise. Hang in there. I would almost bet in your working break you will be able to lose your last 5. You have done great (according to your ticker) at maintaining..... so I bet you will do great maintaing the last 5 pound loss too.

Mandy, I saw on the other thread you are going to do the 100 pound push up challenge. I am going to give it a try too. It may take me all year to get it done-- and I am going to use my ball at first, but I will get there. I will not start until I win the bet though (1.5 away again--- but not splurging this weekend)- I don't want to add muscle before I win the bet. I am going to do the 200 pound sit up challenge too-- under the same condition I am doing the push ups. I like the kettlenetics, but I think that the good ole push up and sit up are the way to go. Besides, I know it is silly, but I would like to be able to "hang" with my son when he does his military push ups...... call me crazy.

I would also like to get "kickboxing" lessons for my birthday (July). I am not the most coordinated person in the world (with blonde hair you would not have guessed-- huh?), but I just want to be strong enough to do it. I always have-- but the movie Million Dollar Baby sparked it more-- even though she was not a kick boxer.

I am going to get busy at work. Y'all have a good one.
  • Morn'n ladies.

Holly, congrats on you first week of 30DS, I hear it is a killer workout.

I am SO tired today. I really think last nights episode of LOST kept me up..lol. It is was just, WOW.

I have done W1D1 column3 for sit ups so far but not the push ups yet.

I LOVE BOXING, always enjoyed kick boxing class when I had a gym membership but the best was when I had won a personal trainer for a few weeks and I got to punch and kick her(well the pads she was holding...lol). I have been begging my husband for a heavy bag and I think boxing lessons would be awesome.
  • Hello Girls, missed logging in yesterday and also missed exercise as well

Today was Day 9 for me.......

Men my DH had to soooooo mad yesterday that I came home and went to bed at 6:30 and stayed there

Tammy I will tell you that KOA's are clean campgrounds and usually have nice clean showers and the ones we have stayed at have a pool for those hot days after riding to cool down. Just some extra information

I wish I was going on the trip with you, it sounds like a blast and it is a great ride if you skip all the downtown major cities

This weather just likes to tease us, today we had snow yes snow
it really bites the big one

Well tonight we get to go have wings and a couple Mich Ultras Missed supper last night and ate OP all day today so that I could go tonight. YAY

Well girls as I am typing I am dying my hair, so we will see in about 15 minutes how it turns out, I think I may have went a little dark but it grows

Mandi, you must still not be up to par yet, I thought maybe you just had the flu but this bug has been lingering with you for a while now??? Have you been to the doc?

Well girls I will check back in later
  • thanks again Ladyrider for the support and encouragement! I actually have been maintaining at 155 through all these pigouts...so yes, it must be the exercise. I did much better today, yay!

Mandy...LOST was like...OMG at the end!!!!!

ChopperC, I am soooooo sorry you had that stinkin white stuff today!!

Oh, and I did ride to work it was overcast and 42 degrees on the way there...I was chilled big time when I got to work. But glad I did, it put me in such a good mood, maybe that's why I didn't have a single evil cookie. Before leaving for home, I warmed up all my gear in front of the electric heating grate...they were sooooo warm and nice! and that heat held for 'most' of the way home. Then it started sprinkling :rofl It was a good first day for riding to work, lol! But pretty much unheard of for March!!!

DO tell us how your hair turns out, CChick!
  • Good Morning Biker Chicks,

I am off today I am doing the poor people's spring break thing with my boys (even though they are 19 and 15). We are touring the guitar factory in Memphis today. Of course it is raining. I think that is a bigger tradition than me taking them somewhere

CC- I am soooo sorry you are still getting the white stuff. Maybe it will be the last of it for you.

Holly- hang in there until you have a break and then kick that last 5 pounds' butt!

Mandy- I sure hope you get your wind back soon.

I am out for the day. Talk to you all later. Have a great Friday.
  • good morning chicks! That's nice you're taking your boys to a 'git-tar' place LadyRider but sorry about the rain!

Today was Day 1 of Level 2 of 30DS. I was a sweaty mess when it was over Then I did a few minutes of Gilad abs.

It is a gloomy overcast day here, still clinging to 39 degrees, even though the weather people swear it will be sunny and 50 by this afternoon. I will have to make the 'ride or cage' question in about an hour.

    Have a great day everyone
  • CC- thanks for the advise on the KOA's. I have looked at them online. However, I must have overlooked the shower feature. I will be checking into them further. If I can actually sleep....... and get a shower-- I can do it. I figure 3 days to get there......... and then 2 days in a LUXURY room..... then playing it by ear is very do-able! I appreciate it.
  • Oh ya Ladyrider one other thing about the KOA's is most of them have Cabins with beds, so you might not even have to tent it????

My hair well it is a little darker than expected, I went with light brown but there is no way this is light brown so next time dark blonde it is. Otherwise really didn't turn out to bad at all. I will try to get a picture this weekend when we are at the Abate Swap Meet and Show....

Well haven't done any exercise yet today but I will be soon

Holly that is great that you got to ride - YAY

Well I will check back in later
  • good morning chicks! I didn't ride yesterday, I would have froze on the way in, but the afternoon was nicer, oh well. Today the weather people keep saying lots of sunshine but it's not here yet...I would love to do a couple hours riding this afternoon with husband, I hope it 'suns up' and warms up!

Today I did Day 2, Level 2 of 30 DS AND, because I had tons of extra calories yesterday, also did my Karen Voigt step and strength tape, so about 1 hour total.

    will check in later
  • Good morning ladies.

How are you? I am good. I did not get to take the boys to the guitar place.... wouldn't you know the day I was going to take them I did not research, only to get there and find out they were booked b/c the NCAA College Tournament was there........ and all of the college students had it booked until 4 hours later and my oldest son had to be at work. We just walked down Beale St. in Memphis-- which we had never done. We have lived here all of their lives and have never walked down there. It was nice.... and it was cheap which is good for me b/c it is a little over a month until Vegas and I am trying to hold onto the green backs.

    Not much else going on.......
  • good morning ladies! Hi Ladyrider, sorry that the museum was booked! but your walk through town sounded nice.

We had an awesome couple of hours riding yesterday It DID warm up, mmm sun and over 60 degrees!! First I cleaned my bike pretty thoroughly, and did some outdoor raking/cleanup (got the dreaded DOG POO section done!!!) while husband did grocery shopping (I'm so lucky ) Then by the time he got home, our friend Pickles called, and she was wanting to ride. So we met and tore up the Vermont countryside

this morning I just finished Day 3 Level 2 of 30DS, and then The Biggst Loser Cardio with Bob, another 20 minutes. ( I had extra calories AGAIN yesterday)

have a nice Sunday, those who don't have to go to work. I only have 18 days to go, woohoo!
