Good morning chicks!
ChopperChick, OMG a blizzard watch, I did see that on the news and wondered if it was in your area, ugh!!!! (I will not complain about our overnight dusting then!) I hope it melts SOON for ya.
Yes, I wonder almost everyday how my boss can manage to stay in business. Did I tel you when someone came in to protest having their sandwich made with TWO crusts (ends, heels) of bread, the first thing he said to her was 'do you know how much I pay for a loaf of bread?'

yeah. I think his wife has family money, and that's how they keep going.
I do not think for a second that you should say the word 'selfish' about being finished with two boys, sweetheart! Oh gosh Ladyrider, I was in that fetal postition briefly when I first learned of our second boy, 6 1/2 years after the first

I hope you come up with a solution that is best for you, CChick.
I am glad to hear that the modified fast is going OK for you LRider. Wish I had that commitment, even for a few days! And you are right about our exercise 'saving' us. And thank you again for your belief in me
That's a shame that rain is in the forecast for your N.O. trip. You've probably already read of, and heard all kinds of advice, but I will just go ahead and give you more, lol. Just overall decreased speed (if I normally go 55 on dry pavement, I'll go barely 50 in rain) and increased time to go around curves ( I stay more upright instead of leaning into the curve) and increased time to brake.
Remember that gently, gently applying brakes intermittantly will heat them and help to dry them off. Something to rememer if you are doing a long stretch of road, but then know that your exit is coming up. Signal ahead of time, and do your gently intermittant braking, so by the time your're on the exit ramp brakes will be not be wet when you need to stop. I only repeat this because of a scary slide into an intersection once with this very same situation. And Ive had lots and lots of times when I didn't think to dry my brakes, and things were fine. Just a precaution.
Once I was frustrated with my clear sunglasses getting so fogged on the inside in heavy rain, and I remember what divers do, I didn't spit into them but I licked them (just on the inside) and that helped for a few miles.
Rain will make you feel cooler so make sure you have enough layers. And an extra or even third pair of gloves, packed away dryly, will be welcome if your first pair get soaked.
Oh, this is bad news, our son sent an email to dh yesterday, that son discovered $700 missing from his bank account!! He is of course working with his credit union (where he has his account) to investigate. Scary stuff!!
Yes, Mandy, hi! and Gina!! ANd Jill!
I haven't exercised yet, so I better do that. Check in with ya later! ( I have off today)
