I'd love to join! I'm trying something new this time and not weighing every day, since the fluctuations make me crazy. My goal for June is 5 lbs. and I hope to beat it.

Lacerta: Welcome on this thread, too!

Cattails: Welcome to the thread, as well!

nicoley73: I started out the month on a gain, as well...hoping this means we get to move down from here, lol.

Wannabehealthy: Thank you!!!

Kim: I remember you -- welcome back! So good to see you again, and thank you!

tmiles2go: Welcome!

And, a big hello to everyone else returning for the month of June, as well!

-----------------------------------------

So, I went up a little again today back to 175.8. Not what I was expecting or how I wanted to start out a fresh month, but it is what it is. And, I'm thankful that it wasn't much of a gain. Continuing to stay on plan with the stricter diet, exercise, and more than a gallon of water...hoping that means I will be due for a consistency-rewarding whoosh soon, lol. TOM should be starting by the end of the week, so we will see what happens with that. It can go either way for me lately...sometimes it is surprisingly nice with the scale, sometimes it is very mean.

In the last few days i've managed to gain almost 3 lbs! I haven't been eating as I should and even had nearly a whole bag of candy yesterday(didn't even try to check my blood sugar). I have been back on track today and am hoping this will be a restart so that I can get myself back on track. This is where I tend to just quit and go back and I refuse to do that this time! I am going back to work tonight so I am hoping that it'll keep my cravings and out of control eating on track for tonight. Good luck to everyone and nice to see some new and returning faces!

Feel like i'm getting towards being 119 'properly' rather than the fluky glimpse a few days ago. This morning I am about to increase the size of my breakfast oats from 31g (that I've been weighing out for breakfast all year) to 35g. How exciting is that!!!

Goal for the month ~ 242.2 (10lbs)
Current Weight ~ 251
Lbs to go ~ 8.8

6/1 ~ 252.2

I've been back on track for about 2 weeks and the last week I've been bouncing around 250-252. The last 3 days it was a slow bump up each day of .2 or .4 so happy to see it back down today. My body seems to be fighting to stay in the 250's that's for sure.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Total Loss for Week One:

Not a great start for the month, up .8 right now. However, I'm going to put today's gain in the "necessary evil" category. I was good on my eating, and did my evening 2 mile walk, but after my morning water aerobics yesterday, I ended up also swimming 6 laps. I love to swim laps, but haven't been able to find empty lanes in the pool lately, so haven't been doing it and am very out of practice. But after the class, everyone cleared out and the pool was empty, so I decided to give it a go. Today, I'm sore. So I'm going to say the gain is from water retention building up my sore muscles. Only my 2nd water aerobics class and my first time swimming laps in a couple months (and then it was only a couple of times, been about 3 years since I was swimming regularly).
So lots of new exercise yesterday.

momtopands: Great job getting back on track right away!! I bet that 3 lbs will be gone in no time now that you're back on plan.

Ange: I can't wait to see how maintenance goes for you...I will be following all of your posts and taking notes on what to do when I get there myself, lol.

kfunk: Here's to a binge-free June!

Kim: Nice loss today!

Lacerta: Since we both post the tracking threads on here and under the 100 lb Club one, I guess I will just be saying "Ditto!" on this thread, because I usually post on the other one first!

-----------------------------------------

Another little gain up to 176.0 today. I was low on water (only 2.2 liters) and ate at the higher end of my calorie range, but was still on-plan with calories and exercise yesterday. Going to make sure I get in all my water today and hope that helps turn things around. Still waiting for TOM to show and hoping that's to blame for the bloating and stalling. On a side note, I finally found a kombucha that I can tolerate - actually even enjoy! - so, I'll be drinking some of that today as well to see if it helps with the bloat a little. (Health•Ade brand, in case anyone was wondering. I liked their Pink Lady Apple flavor, and I'll be trying the Pomegranate one today to see if I like it, as well.)

Bit dehydrated this morning so probably lower than I 'should' be. That would be due to a couple of glasses of wine in a couple of pubs last night on the way to the local cinema and on the way back. Good night out though, and movie was fun too (German film festival subtitle job, probably not to everyone's taste!)

Weighing out the extra oats yesterday morning was super-exciting. It seemed heaps more as I was pouring it out, but disappointingly I didn't really notice it was more as I was eating it, lol. So in the brave new world of Maintenance I've had a day under my new target and a day over, but I've planned a splurge day each week with an extra 600cals anyway, which the 'over' day didn't take much out of, so I've still got plenty of calories to play with this week. Running Friday to Thursday with the weekly tally, just because 1st June was a Friday. Should be plain sailing the rest of the week, but possible roadbump with a planned night out with friends on Thursday, so i'll see how many calories are remaining by then!

kfunk Great to see you still here!

Back up again today. I'm actually starting to get a bit confused. I'm not sure what on earth my body is doing. Oh well, carrying on as usually. Hopefully I'll get a whoosh soon.

lacerta Great job yesterday!! Hopefully your body will release the water soon!

ophelia I hope that your TOM gets here soon so you can shed that water retention. I have heard of kumbucha but didn't know that it can help with bloating, is that why you are drinking it? Where do you get it?

ange I love hearing about maintenance! I am glad that you were able to enjoy some wine and the movie! How many extra calories are you adding per day, not including the day you are adding 600?

kim Its nice to see you as well! Where are you at in your monthly cycle? My body goes haywire around ovulation and again the week before my period. I hope that you get your whoosh soon!!
