Default Alli

Well, just finishing up day 4 and as of this morning I'm down 4 lbs!!

No oil spills, no TE's. Nothing unusual at all to report. I was having some gas pains but lessening my fiber has helped that out so I don't think it was Alli related.

I'm SO excited to finish up week 1 and see the total results.

I have more willpower than I've had in a LONG time. Even if I was going to a big party or cookout, I don't think I would ever stop taking them during those days because it definitely keeps my hands out of the cookie jar!!!

Default Congrats!

Wow, champagn! Way to go! Hope I have a nice loss like that when I get on the scale tomorrow.

Hey, has anyone checked out nutritiondata.com? You can look up anything and get full nutritional info. You can change the info based on cups, grams, size. This is now my number 1 favorite on my list. OK, number 2, 3fatchicks is number 1!

It will be a day of celebration when I hit 199! I'm 24 pounds away from that goal, but with alli and my low fat diet and exercise, I know I can do it. So congrats on getting to 198!

I should make a mini goal bar like I've seen others. I just don't want to mess up the one I have...

Hey Paula,

I agree with Debbie, when I eat more protein, I tend to lose more weight. I am convinced that there are people out there who just need more protein than everyone else...almost like we don't digest it as well as we should.

Can you try switching out your shake for breakfast with maybe an egg white omelet with FF cheddar cheese and a couple cups of cooked veggies? If you have time to peruse your local book store, check out the 5 Facor Diet recipe section and take a look at all of the breakfasts there; they seem to be pretty high in protein.

I'm on day 3 of Alli now, no oil slicks, no headaches or gas, I also notice my appetite was decreased, last night I struggled to finish my dinner and left some on my plate. I just felt so full. That is the first time in 9 weeks I didn't finish a meal.

Congrats to all the losers!!

after stalking this board for a while, and making exercise and diet changes, I decided to try alli. I just ordered it from costco. I went just to look at it, and then I fouond myself waiting for the order confirmation email. I've decided to do it in tandem with my WW program, which I have really fell off the wagon from. So i have about a week before it comes; in the meantime, i want to get started by watching fat grams and exercising. All the accounts i have read said results were good. Personally, I feel like I;m going into a downward spiral, and need something. I know it's not a quick fix; I'm ready to change.

Well, I'm not experiencing the loss of appetite other's describe. I'm actually finding myself hungry more! I eat alot too - at least 1500 calories and all of that from lean meats, fruits, veggies, whole grains...so I'm not eating empty calories. Hmm?? I find it especially true at night. After 8/9pm my stomach is growling like a maniac. But I don't eat anything because I'm already at my limit for the day.

Earlier in this thread, someone (sorry - can't remember who, but whoever it was is a genius), said, in essence, "so we might have to take a pill once a day to maintain our weight forever...so what? Millions of folks take Lipitor for cholesterol control, and millions more take daily blood pressure meds. Why not one to keep our weight in check?" Brilliant.

Are you still taking Alli? If so, how's it going?
