I've been missing the party on this thread - sorry - woohoo to all the losers!

Beanie - so proud of you of cracking that 40 pound marker -- I'm inching my way there. . .

Great job Deets! Down 3 lbs since Moday for me!! I think that while it is so cold, and my body is so irritated at the weather, I am going to continue doing the lemon water every day. COD said that I can start counting the lemon as a half of a fruit instead of whole though, so that is good. I was a little hungry, giving up a fruit.

It gets all of the extra water out, and I am so full of h2o because of the fibromyalgia. I can't figure out why I have to count it all, how many calories could possibly be in fresh lemon juice?

Congrats Katie

My COD never told me to count the lemon water as anything either. They also have told me I can use the lemon juice and never told me to count that either.

do you add sweetner to yours, I want to but iwonder if it will still work?

Just wanted to chime in that my center told me 1/2 lemon in hot water was free but if I had 2 cups of it ie 1 full lemon I had to count it as a fruit!

Congrats on hitting 135 deets! WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO

I do not add sweetener. Here is tip on lemons from the Home Economist (me)
To get the most juice out a lemon, poke a few holes in it with a fork, place in a bowl, and microwave for 1 minute. Let cool in bowl for about 5 minutes, then cut in half (in bowl to save all of the juice) and squeeze. You pretty much get all of the juice this way!! Don't forget to send the peels down your garbage disposal, in the halves (don't cut up smaller before you do). Lemons clean and disinfect the blades. Want to sharpen the blades? Send a whole tray of ice cubes down the disposal, with no water. After the ice is all chopped, you will have to run some water to get the rest down, but this is a great way to sharpen the blades. I'm just full of handy little hints!
