Thanks for the kind words, K! I do think I need some extra rest and intend to get some today! Gonna try for a long walk and easy run, though, but going back to bed now. Finished work already.

E, you're doing great! I need to follow your example. I'll be back later with my report.

Ok, I just posted this on the main thread but in the interest of keeping food items together, I'll just be repetitive, shall I?

"I'll mention here (ok, I should report this on the other thread, but I'm here now) that I've made a great discovery: Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches (which I've always thought were incredibly uninteresting and not worth the effort) are really kind of gourmet if you crush them up in a fancy bowl and eat with a lovely spoon ... I'm going to get some more flavors and experiment further ... was wondering about crushing them in my mini processor ... hmmm."

I could not find millet but will go to Trader Joe's tomorrow and see if they have it!!! I really want to try those patties!!!!

Reporting 20 minutes of cardio (walk/run with trainer) and 40 minutes weights, also with trainer! May do another yoga or walk tonight. I'll be back with menu later.

Found a sugar free white chocolate/almond ice cream bar ... 100 calories and really good ... unfortunately, I've had too many, but I'm still gonna bring in a decent calorie count today!!!!

Feeling quite unsettled by a number of things, but why allow it to ruin my fledgling good eating streak!!! Later ...

Default Yo!

Editing earlier report! The sf bars got to me, debunking the theory that it is sugar that causes me to continue to eat an item over and over again. I think it's the texture of the white chocolate and the good mood it puts me in because of past associations.

Ibid. Quid pro quo.

I'm wondering if it be time for us to graduate to a new thread for this journaling enterprise? Just a thought as it's getting harder for me to open it ...

Anyhow, I'm not journaling, but since this is the food thread I'm just posting my random food thought here, apropos of nothing:

This should really be on the food thread, but again, I'm here now ... I just pitched the low carb bread ... it tasted like a cross between cardboard and bacon ... got some wonderful low cal 100 percent whole wheat put out by the same company and the difference is amazing ... let's face it, s, bread is SUPPOSED to have carbohydrates!!!

Ok, I fell for the Woman's World diet cover again (I know, they sensationalize every diet plan that comes around the pike and act as if they just discovered it)!!! Anyhow, it had the usual "somebody lost a zillion pounds on the new miracle plan" thing, which turned out to be the plan of some weight loss clinic in CA or somewhere ... the main point of my even bringing this up is that this plan suggested using low carb eating as a "rocket" for fat burning ... you stay at 50 grams of carbs (good quality) for the first three days and every Monday, then stay at 100 or below the rest of the time ... otherwise, it seems to be just a healthy, moderate calorie plan. I was looking at this and realized (as I've realized before) that as much as I rail against Atkins (and I do, but not usually on here), I've been eating pretty low on the glycemic index myself for months (except on my several times a week binges) and calling it BFL! And I have actually lost weight.

So I like this "rocket" idea a little bit ... but I have a question that I'm asking myself, what does it signify, if anything, that Dr. A himself was mayhap overweight and died of heart disease, as is rumored, although I have no idea if that is really true and it is denied by his family.

Ok, I shall stop clogging up this otherwise pristine journaling thread with ramblings and go exercise! I'll be back with a more focused report this evening!

Wink

I Love It! Chuckle for the day...I have something to say about...er...food...I'm still giggling. Must be punch drunk.

We did the dinner theatre thing again this week-end...Chinese food and murder mystery. Again, I was threatened with the convent! Type casting. However it went well and it is done. Don't ask me about food and exercise. I am taking a Fresh Start card tomorrow, and putting my seat belt back on. With Krazy Glue. In the meantime, tonight I will be doing a book talk (on a book I hate) and a zinger (on a book I loved...what's wrong with this picture??????) and imbibing on red wine . I have book club tomorrow...a necessary evil (so management thinks) of my job. Actually I think it is job justification for them....however they pay me.

See ya!
