Checking In.

I WI this afternoon and was up 1/2 lb from last week which was up 1/2 a lb from the week before. However, overall I'm still down 3.5 lbs from when I signed back up 4 weeks ago. I know it's not anything amazing, but it IS a loss through the holidays and I'm excited about that.

I'm totally back on track and actually got full on my lunch today b/c I drank 2 HNS (a chicken broth and a mixed berry). I had missed my drink from breakfast so I doubled up. At least it filled me up and kept me from reaching for a biscuit or chocolate or something naughty!

I hope you're all doing great!

Yup, I tried two and that just didn't work for me. Four are great, and I take all of them at bedtime. No way can I remember between meals. My biggest problem is bloating & gas & discomfort more than the not going.

I went back to my center just before Christmas. I had ended up slowly gaining 20 lbs. over the past two years. I've decided that I'm just going to keep going forever--permanent MRC--sort of like a WW lifetime member

You know there was a consultant at the Shalimar center who said they had a couple of clients who do just that, sign up for another year of maintenance year after year, just for that accountability and support factor. Cheaper than a new bigger wardrobe! (That's how I justified signing up again when they ran their special last summer - cheaper than a new wardrobe, and way less depressing!!!)

In terms of the Internal Cleanser, I took 4 at bedtime and it worked wonders for me.... for the first 9 months or so. Then, it just stopped working. So, I have used various other things.... but Mirilax (sp) works great if you can get some of that. I pretty much use that now when needed.

Hi All! I have been doing MRC since Sept 1, but have just been lurking on the boards...thanks for all the great recipes! I have lost 37 lbs so far, but Christmas/New Years was rough so I need some motivation to get back on track!! I am back on plan now though! Does anyone have any fun new recipes to share? I recently made the humus(excellent and I'm addicted!) and the Asian turkey meatballs (this one's great too). Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!!!!

Hey guys another question! I got a recipe fom the center and it calls for xanthium gum??? Is it a liquid or what? It uses 1/2 tsp in the recip and I'm wondering if there is something else that I can replace it with. It is used in an oatmeal cookie recipe. I'm needing some variety in breakfast!

I couldn't find Xanthium gum, even in a health food store. It is supposed to be a thickener and is a white powder. I googled it and it is supposed to be sold at some Kroger stores, but I couldn't find it at ours. When I asked our center about it, they said to make the cookies without it. I did and they tasted just fine.
