Hi everyone. I just started MRC December 26th and I was doing so well. Then I got a call from my Mom on Jan 10th that my Grandma had passed away. Needless to say with all the stress and sadness of flying to PA for her funeral I did not stay on plan. I got back home yesterday and I called the center to find out what to do. They told me to go to day 1 of my blue menu. I need to go shopping since all the things I had before I left had gone bad. It is so hard to restart after I was doing so well and now have gone back up 4 of the 7 ½ lbs I lost. Crazy that I gained at all since I did not eat much when I was away…. But I did partake in the alcohol at the Irish wake. I just wonder if starting only at the 1st day of the Blue menu is good enough or if I should go back to yellow…..
Laura, sorry to hear about your Grandma, definitely water weight. Meemo had a great idea with B-6. I think you will be fine on the Blue menu if that is what the center said. I bet by next week you will have lost the 4lbs and be back in your fat burning groove!!!
I agree that the travel is causing water retention. For me it is usually about five pounds every time I drive or fly somewhere. Up your water intake and do the B6. You'll be back in no time!!
I got to sign the 50lb. board today! I felt a little like I cheated though. I had to exercise before my WI today when I normally do it after. I felt like it probably made me weigh lighter than I should have. Oh well, I guess I'll take it anyway! Hopefully it won't mess up my next weigh in

So sorry to hear the news. I hope you are know we are all thinking of you and sending our thoughts/love your way. Just jump back in.... and follow the centers lead, they know what they are talking about. Hey, and take it slow... take care of yourself.
here's another question. i ended up having to go out of town yesterday. i had a late breakfast so my 5 hr window put me having a very late lunch and even later dinner. i NEVER got hungry last night, probably because i was distracted. i guess i should mention that i never was a three times a day eater before this plan so it is completely normal for me to not eat dinner if i've eaten a decent lunch. by the time i realized that I hadn't eaten it was after 10 pm, was fixing to go to bed for work today, and my BF didn't have any diet friendly food in his house. i cldn't even improvise what he had to make something work and i was afraid of eating so late at night anyway. i didn't even have an extra HNS because i'm only able to afford two a day w/breakfast and lunch so I didn't even take one. also, i absolutely LOVE the well water at his house so I ended up, for the whole day having like 6 bottles cuz i just kept refilling my bottle last night. that might also be a big part of why i didn't get hungry.
So my question is, which is worse, skipping dinner or eating off program? I go in for the psychobabble class tonight and intend to do a WI while i'm there. I realize that last night probably hurt me pretty bad, cld have shut my metabolism down, but I want to know which would hurt me less in case this happens again. I have every intention of packing food next time I go over so I don't have to worry about screwing myself up again....
Mental Block..
I'm beginning to think my body just loves 132 lbs! I can't get this "mind over matter" thing going again. When I resigned back in December I was gung-ho, on track full force. I lost 7 pounds in the first 1.5 weeks! Now I'm more than I was then (well, not back to what I was at re-sign, but more than what I got down to after the 7 lb loss). I just keep eating off plan and can't figure it out. It doesn't matter if it's in the house, or out or whatever. I eat what I want and don't even try to stay on plan. I've still been exercising and that's probably the ONLY thing keeping me stable.
I am NOT happy with where I am (even though EVERYONE I know says I look great, don't need to lose more, blah blah blah)..I KNOW I have more to lose and I set all these little goals for myself and just keep cheating. I know I won't eat on plan when I go out and everytime I think no more eating out I go somewhere and screw up again.
Any suggestions?? I know, I've done this over and over and it's not like I've gone WAY off b/c I do stick to 2 or 3 days and then screw up but I need to get a few weeks under my belt. I have dinner out tomorrow and Sunday and at least a few more times in the next couple of weeks, in addition to a conference I'm going to in 4 weeks, birthday parties for both of girls and Disney World on March 1. My goal is 120. I'm weighing around 132 and I have until April 20 on contract. I know that's still 13 weeks away and only averages out to less than a pound a week, but I re-signed 6 weeks ago and should have already met the first goal. MY goal is really 115. MRC has 120.
Congrats!! if I'm figuring right you're in like week 6 or 7? that's awesome!! I hope to have the same excellent results!

I have stuck to plan 100% so far...not one BLT (bite lick taste) I got a little on edge today during my WI when she asked me what kind of fish I was having and I told her tilapia. She said "that fish is not allowed on the beige menu" I told her I have been having it all along and I was specifically told I could have it...besides...tilapia is was of the best fish you can have...right??? She said "I will have to check on that" and I could hear her an other girls discussing it and they said its not on the menu but it is one I can have. Every week (even tho the girls are very nice) I am afraid they will find some reason to void my guarantee after I have been so faithful.
Also, I don't know if I should give into their sales pitch for corti-trim. My stomach below my belly button is huge and not losing very quickly. She (and the last 2 other girls who were in the room with me) have recommended it. They say with the MRC6 I am losing all over, so I wouldn't want to stop it...which I am totally pleased with those results, but the corti-trim will target this one area. Its pretty expensive tho...I think she said $75 for 180 pills and you take 6 a day---which makes it a 30 day supply. I was wondering if the corti-slim that you can buy at CVS has the same stuff in it. I told her I would hold off for now and maybe wait to see what happens in the next couple of months. I also have not been doing any ab exercises which would probably help that area.

At my center they specifically told me to write in tilapia, because it is allowed. I don't have it that often, but they never comment on it when I do.
I have taken the corti-trim in the past and just started again. I don't know if I think it does anything or not. A friend gave me what she had leftover when her doctor told her not to take it because of a prescription interaction. I just started taking them again today. The ones that I have now are from Walgreens.
I had something interesting come up at the center today and was wondering if any of you have ever heard this.
The counselor that I met with said that if you are going to split proteins at a meal, some group 1 and some group 3, you have to do it equally. Like for instance...I am on the 6 oz protein menu. So according to her I can have 3 oz. of group three and 3 oz. cottage cheese, but not 2 oz. of group three and 4 oz. cottage cheese.
