Whats sad is that even tho I have lost 21 pounds so far with MRC, on the Wii Fit it said that I have gained 19 pounds since August! Wahhhh!

Bonnie- I feel your pain. I went on fitday last week to see what I was eating calorie wise (normally not dieting - it was shocking) and I was 23 pounds higher that I was in April, when I was last trying to diet.

That is why I am going to MRC - I am taking this weight off, and not letting it come back!

You are awesome! Thanks for the calorie info.
My biggest concern is if I will be hungry all the time. I do not want to think about what I eat, or when I get to eat again. I have been on diets when I am consumed with the foods, timing and staying OP. I want to eat to live not live to eat!

The good thing is that the mix of protein and low amount of sugar/starch helps keep you from being hungry. You'll have to think about it some at first, but after awhile it'll become second nature. I keep a copy of my menu taped inside a kitchen cabinet so it's readily available if I need to check something (like how much of a particular fruit is in a serving).

Amen to NOT letting it come back!

I feel so different this time than I have doing any other plan. I haven't been obsessive with food, exercise, weighing myself several times a day. This must really be what they mean by eat to live, not live to eat. I don't think I have ever felt like this before...where I need to eat just to nourish myself. I don't think too much about what I could be eating (or can't). I think THIS is my meal, I am thankful that I have that food when there are people in the world who have no food. This is the meal that will give me a longer life, more time with my kids and a hot sexy body (tee hee). I am thankful for being able to afford MRC and getting to meet with them twice a week to discuss anything going on in my life (food or otherwise). And even tho, the Wii Fit calls me obese everytime I do a body test on it (jerk), I am thankful that I AM able to exercise. I think we need to think positive about our situation, instead of thinking of what we are missing out on, think about what we do have! and most importantly--- WE HAVE EACH OTHER!

My question is, if you (not you personally, but anyone in general, gets to what they think is a weight they are comfortable (and happy) with, but it isn't what their "guidelines" say, will they put you in stabilization or tell you to buy another package?

Also, today was the first day of "intentional exercise" for me. I have been claiming I have been walking 30 minutes 3x a week, because I had been doing a lot of walking around in stores, the mall, ect...but nothing to break sweat. So today I got back on the Wii Fit, which I hadn't done since August. I did 30 minutes of step aerobics. Whats sad is that even tho I have lost 21 pounds so far with MRC, on the Wii Fit it said that I have gained 19 pounds since August! Wahhhh!

I am new and I don't understand what the Wii Fit is?? and how can Wii Fit say you gained weight if you actually lost weight????

Hello all, I woke up Christmas morning with a bad case of the stomach flu. I was sick for 2 days and lived on crackers & sprite. I was so scared to go weigh-in today but I still had a loss. My calories stayed low but I felt so bad going off plan. Thank goodness thats over with.

The Wii Fit is a thing you can buy for your Nintendo Wii that is like an exercise trainer. You can do Yoga, aerobics, etc. on it and it keeps track of your weight loss, etc. It showed that she gained weight because she hadn't been on it for a long time and she must have weighed less the last time she stepped on it. Hope that makes sense.....I tried it at my mom's house. It's a pretty fun way to exercise.....if it's even possible to have a fun way to exercise

Yuck.....don't feel bad about going off plan...the stomach flu is horrible and you have to do what you have to do to get through it!! Just don't be surprised if you show a slight gain when you start eating regular again. Your body was probably a bit dehydrated and empty and could hold some water for a little while.

I couldn't have said it better!

I was obsessed with Wii Fit all summer and went from 250 down to 223 by August. That was the last time I used it. Then I gained all my weight back and then some! When I started MRC Dec 1st I weighed 266. I have lost 21 pounds since then but still weigh 19 pounds more than I did back in August.

BonnieMcC - You had me laughing - I may have to reconsider the wii-fit...

I have my consultation in 30 minutes, so I will be officially a MRC'er!

Yeah, I cant wait til my Wii Fit doesn't tell me I'm obese. haha. when I first got the Wii Fit I was shocked that when I weighed I got the drum roll & my mii got a huge belly roll and then said that I was obese. I knew I was, it was just amusing the ways it did it.
