This queen has had another of those "don't ask" weekends. I must get my trips to dd's under control foodwise. Another one coming up Friday/Saturday. This time I'm not even sure I tried. Obviously one reason I'm not losing.

So it's a Slimfast start again this Monday.

Yo! Eydie, wouldst thou be willing to part with the recipe for the millet patties? I'm thinking these'd be great for an EFL carb dish. Unless it be a secret!

Anagramatic, I got some Skinny Cow pb cup ice cream sandwiches ... they're not bad, although I don't really like the SC sandwiches ... used to like the ice cream bars. They also now have Skinny Cow sf ice cream flavors packed in cartons ... one is peanut butter cookie dough! I resisted because I don't really like ice cream in cartons ... too messy!

Anyhow, here's my report. I decided to take another day off from exercise but did try to walk on treadmill at gym. It didn't work, so decided just to focus on getting back on a good eating track. I am firmly closing the door to the kitchen for the night (well, it doesn't have a door, but you get the concept)!!!

I can't tell you how much journaling with thou wonderful s has helped since we've started this thread. Let's keep going ...

Here's my Tuesday food:

SF tapioca pudding 90
EAS van CC shake 100
2 ww Eng muff w/butter spray 280

Candy bar (caramel/rice crisps) 210
Skinny Cow pb cup lf ice cream sandwich 140

SF tapioca pudding 90
EAS van CC shake 100

1.5 servings apricot-curry chicken 150 (boneless chicken breasts sauted with sf apricot jam, curry powder, rosemary and garlic ... I will make chicken salad with the remaining serving for lunch tomorrow)

Fruited brown rice 115
Brocolli (sp?) w/lf cheese sauce 50

EAS van CC shake 100

Skinny Cow pb cup lf ice cream sandwich 140

Total 1565

Default You asked for it!

Here's the recipe for millet patties!

1 cup millet
1/2 tbsp.oil
3 cups boiling water
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup minced or grated carrot
3/4 cup miced onion
3/4 cup flour [I used whole wheat]

Saute millet in oil in medium saucepan 2-3 minutes. Add boiling water--simmer 35 minutes. Add vegetables and simmer 5 more minutes.Transfer to large bowl, add flour and mix well. Form into patties and cook on a griddle until browned on both sides. Makes about 12---they freeze well.

You can vary this recipe a lot; add herbs, dredge them in cornmeal before cooking them, etc. It's one of those old veg hippie recipes. I've had them beside eggs in the morning, and topped with salsa, or tomato sauce or cheese. Enjoy!

That looks delicious, Eydie! Thanks! I'm hoping to find the millet tomorrow and give these a try ... with all due respect to the old vege hippies (I'm one), I think these'd be great with salmon!!!! Yowza!

Going ahead and reporting 30 minutes of weights in gym. Really tired this week and I think it's the antibiotics that I'm yet again on ... unlikely to do anymore exercise today ... have to cover a meeting tonight ... the loooooooong one ... will be back with calorie report. At this point I dinna know if I'll meet my exercise minute goal this week ... haven't done any of the yoga or much cardio ... that's ok, though. I will.
