I got on the treadmill first thing this morning. 3.25 miles and feeling great. I need a bath now. Even though it's my anniversary I will be eating on plan. I didn't do so bad at dinner last night but probably more than I should have. Hopefully when I measure on Saturday there is enough loss that I won't remember the meal. Lots of stuff to do today so it will be easy to eat on plan and stay within my calorie range.
Rainbow - I hope today is a better day for you and your workout. But it's understandable. Elizabeth - It was hard for me at dinner so I started feeding everyone what I eat for the most part because it was better for all of our health. If you can't, think of it like eating out. Everyone will usually order something different and you don't think anything of it most of the time anyway...just a thought. Northern - Thanks for the wishes. I'm feeling pretty good about it!!! Looking forward to the next 35!! Life - We are having a great time and getting healthy so hop in and have fun!!
EVERYONE ELSE - We are making it happen and we still have a couple weeks to push toward our goals. SO LETS GET IT DONE!!!
I'm glad to see everyone is having great progress!! You're so motivated, it's great to see that
I've been having a good week so far (except for my stupid blood work coming back). I've not gone over in my calories, which is an accomplishment itself because by this point I would have cheated and had pizza or a burger or something.
However, for about a week, there was a steady decline in my weight, now nothing. I'm so annoyed I can't even see straight! All this hard work resisting temptation and working out and the scale hasn't moved in days!! What am I doing wrong??
Fit4Lyfe ~ the food scale will really open up your eyes about portions.
gracesmomma ~ congrats on your week! and the scale is going to stop moving every now and then, it's just how it is (unfortunately) Just keep on plan as your body adjusts and it will start moving again or maybe you will get a woosh.
sandcar~ hooray!
Lori2 ~ woot!!
fruitlady ~ woot for you too!
LifeOver ~ nice goal! I recently started tracking my exercise on the food tracker I use, it'll be interesting to see what the numbers are on a "regular" week
bigmama ~ you go! I swear you inspire me to become a gym rat!
LoriB~ congratulations on your control. Look at how strong you are!
Jiggle ~ Happy Anniversary! Hopefully your car stresses will be over soon.
Northern ~ the video sounds fun
rainbow ~ you've been doing an awesome job, Zumba is addicting, isn't it? Hopefully you aren't coming down with something, and remember that your body does need a rest day to recover from all your new activity
As for me, I'm doing pretty well!
I'm wanting to see the 150's (156-159 would be just fine) (161.2 today)
Keep up logging all my food ~ check!
keep to my current workout schedule, add a class at the gym ~ check!
~UGH ~I never seem to get a minute~It's 71 outside though so I gotta get out there in it.Asthma prevents me from going out much in the cold air~just to car & back basically to my destination~OH well & life goes on & I remain Happy regardless.
Lori Bell~WAY TO GO GIRL~I AM SO PROUD OF U! I have some of them moments too~I have smelled stuff too..It's rough to hold back from godies sometimes But when we do we It is such an accomplishment.(HUGS)
Jiggle~Happy Anniversary! ~ Will be # 18 for me this February Of marriage & 3 years of quitting smoking to same month.~WOW~I am getting young! LOL Speaking of anniversary's My 2 years of my weight loss journey & counting calories is tomorrow! It has went so fast! (HUGS)
EVERYONE ELSE~HUGS TO I AM GONNA GO OUT TO ENJOY THE NICE WEATHER WITH MY HUBBY.~2 weeks & 1 day left STAY STRONG! TTYL

Good afternoon all!
Hope you are all well and kicking this challenge's butt! lol
I'm down a half pound...and that's with TOM. I can practically taste the 160s!
Tomorrow I'll be having surgery to correct my urinary incontinence problem (sorry if that's TMI). I will not be able to exercise for 2 weeks, so I'm bummed about that. I just have to concentrate on being really strict with my diet. I'll be a soft, mushy 150 at goal, but I'll get my muscles back as soon as my doctor gives me the okay to exercise.
Had a nice day out of the building today. They fed us lunch (chili, salad and bread.) I did good and skipped the dessert! It was still a bigger lunch than I would normally eat, so I am doing a low-cal fish and veggie dinner tonight to make sure I stay within my calorie range for the day.
Sandcar & JayLei: You WILL make it to the 160's and 150's, respectively, and I WILL make it to the 190's!! I'm planning to WI Friday...really, really hope to say goodbye to that 2 on the scale!!
Graces: "mini" plateaus are certainlly annoying, but it happens. You'll get the scale moving in the right direction in no time. Sometimes it helps to weigh in a little less often. You can fluctuate up to 2 lbs in a single DAY (and that's without TOM or muscles retaining water due to strength training...that's just "normal".) I know some people really like to weigh in every day, but those fluctuations, for me at least, are too much to deal with when I'm still in weight loss mode. I may change my mind when I get to maintenance.
Lori: Glad to see you're still in the 130's. Good for you!!
Everyone else: keep up the good work! We are doing this!

jiggle Happy Anniversary! Thanks for the concern - I actually started feeling better within an hour or so and thanks to my ladies over on the 20-somethings chat thread, who talked me into working out, I got in 30 minutes on the treadmill!
gracesmomma If you just started, which I think you did, then you can see a big drop in the first week or so which is mostly water weight - so it might slow down a bit now - but if you're doing things right it shouldn't stop completely! That being said, we all (mostly I think!) have plateaus from time to time. Sometimes I stay the same weight for 2 or 3 weeks before dropping again! It's all a learning process of seeing how your body works I guess, everyone is different! Hang in there and well done on avoiding the pizza/burgers!
JayLei Thanks for the concern! I feel a lot better now and also did yesterday afternoon, I managed to get a workout in which I feel much better about since I was trying to do every week day this week just to see if I can. I'll get my rest day on Saturday hehe. I'm sure you'll see the 150's soon enough! You're doing great!
sandcar I hope your surgery goes smoothly! 2 weeks without exercise is not too bad in the bigger scheme of things!
Northern Heh, it is Thursday for me - nearly the end of the week!! Your day sounds good! Man people keep mentioning food and making me want it - first pasta on another thread, now chili on this thread! Maybe I'm just hungry...
~Yay so I'm kind of on track to meet my weight goal! I think... I weighed in at 72kg (158.7pounds) this morning, and my weight goal for this challenge is 70kg (154.3 pounds). It is still a big stretch, but I "stretched" may way down to where I'm currently at in a fairly short time so I'm feeling optimistic!
Calories have been unintentionally a little lower in the past week or so, which worries me a little just because I'm wary of dropping my number down too low too soon, especially when I still have quite a long way to go to my goal. Going to try to pick them back up again a little bit...but not too much!
Another part of my goal for this challenge was to start tracking dinners better. I thought for sure I'd be over on some days at least, but I've actually found the opposite. Of the days I tracked 100% (which is 7/10 days so far this month) only ONE day did I hit 1900 calories. 2 days I was in the 1700s, 3 days I was close to 1400 (right above or below) and one day I was even below 1200! yikes! I didn't log the weekend but I was sick and didn't eat much so they can't be more than that either.
So I guess even though my max is 1900 I am so not hitting it. I guess that's good, but enlightening to me.
SANDCAR- Good luck on your surgery! I hope you feel better afterwards!
NorthernExposure - I hope you can join me in Onderland. It really is nice. I still can't get over seeing a 1xx everyday when I weigh in. lol
Hi all! Only lost an ounce so i didn't bother changing my ticker. Had 1350 cal. today. Last night I did good at Red Lobster, I ended up getting a side garden salad w/ no dressing & that's it! It was so late by the time we got there, I didn't want anything heavy in my stomach. The b-day cake was yucky( I did have a bite) that was a good thing for me. Yay!
Get to goal & stay there!

Thanks so much, Elizabeth. I'm starting to get a little nervous about it. It is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. tomorrow. Strange, though, the surgery is not what is scaring me; it's waking up from the anesthesia. I had a bad reaction to it last time. But I spoke with the anesthesiologist today, and she said she would keep a close eye on me.
Hello everyone!
Reporting in:
Calories have been on track and exercise as well. I've thankfully gotten to the point where, in regular exercise, I'm actually looking forward to my workouts again. This is good.
Don't really know what else to report about since I still don't have a battery for my scale. The weather here is nice tonight, unusually warm, so I might take one of my last middle-of-the-night bike rides of the year on top of my scheduled workout.
I'm glad to see everyone is doing well and sandcar- the best of luck with your surgery!
Hi everyone! I'm going to see my daughter today and she hasnt seen me since the summer. She only lives 50 miles from me but she works I dont and she is useally busy and so am I. Anyway I wanted to wear something new and I was going through my closet looking and I had a size 22 capri jeans that I bought in 2009. Hello Ladies!!!
Back on the block. Yesterday was a great day and the whole family took the day off and spent the day together...even nap time. I stayed within my calorie range even with a dessert at dinner. I'm feeling close to my goal but it may be a muffing top 12!! I'm pushing it with the workouts especially.
Bigmama - YAY!! Congrats on wearing those capris!!! Happy Dance Time. Horo - If you live near a department store just go in the section where the scales and hop on one until you get those batteries. Sandcar - Hope the surgery went well today. See you when you get better. Fruitlady - At least the scale is going in the right direction...no matter how slowly. Elizabeth - That is wonderful. I know if I slack too much on tracking dinners I will be WAY over. Rainbow - It's wonderful that you are going to meet your goal. That is what makes these challenges so wonderful!!! Lori - Hip Hip Hooray!!! Two years and still going strong and looking fabulous!!
Another good day behind me, and so far, so good for today. We did eat at a local Chinese restaurant for dinner, but I have a certain few items I get when I'm there and it runs around 800 calories. I had a lighter breakfast and will have a lighter Supper, so all is good for now. This is the longest, "on plan" streak I've had since I began maintaince 17 months ago. Feeling really strong and confident.
Thinking of you Sandcar as you recover from your surgery. Also a huge Happy anniversary to Lori for her 2 years of living well. So cool! MamaTX, I hope you have a super visit with your daughter. She is going to be so proud of you, like we all are!
To all, you ladies are ALL ROCK STARS. I'm so thankful I joined this challenge. You all have really motivate me to get my butt back in gear.
