If that drive is there, you will do whatever is necessary to lose weight, making sacrifices along the way. We chose MRC to help us, and part of what they encourage does happen to work. This diet is not easy...certainly need to enter into the journey with your eyes wide open But it is worth it...it HAS to be more important than chocolate and pizza...if it isn't, it won't work. For what it is worth....
Very well said!

Way to go Camaswa! Wonder why the centers don't have those little books like weight watchers did that has your weigh in date, weight and total inches lost that you keep with you. That would be really cool and motivating. One of the counselors used to give me a print out when I asked her. I tried to take my measurements with my DHs metal tape measure this am! Haha. Didn't work very well at all! I tried on a pair of shorts that I ordered last year that I couldn't even get past my knees last year and now they fit. Protein rocks!

Speaking of ketosis, when can I expect to see that "trace" on my strip if I'm following the program to a "T"? And will it be noticeable on the strip cause I thought it might have been trace today but not sure.

Yes indeed.

Off topic, I am watching Prince of Tides tonight. I know it's ancient but I recently read the book, so thought it would be fun. flmed in Beufort, which I may have misspelled. Don't you live near there? Do you have that sweet accent?

Me either. Finally they stopped having me pee on those things.
They told me some people just don't get it to turn, some people emit more through breath and saliva than pee. But thankfully they didn't ask me to lick the dang thing. Don't stress over it. Also, look at some of the old posts - this topic was discussed about 6 months ago. I know because I started the thread!

I have been in that house many times right on Bay Street! It's usually in the Fall Tour of Homes. Pat Conroy lives on Fripp island and is always around town. I love all his books! Right after Conroy wrote an article about his favorite seafood restaurants, he made reservations where my DH is a chef. He made his famous Maryland crab cakes, made sure he had the best lump crab meat fresh and Conroy comes in and orders a Reuben! Haha. he called the local paper and asked if he could write a review of a new restaurant in town and they of course, said YES! how could u tell Conroy no? Have you read Midnight in the garden of good and evil? Made Savannah famous! I read a lot. Especially the Southern writers since we moved here. Love Dorothea Benton Frank too. No girl. No southern accent These guys down here think I'm a Northerner even though I'm from Richmond, VA . My brothers make fun of me because I say tomato instead of mater....originally from southwest VA. The Big Chill was filmed in Beaufort too. Tom Berenger lives there still- married to a former stripper. Yes let's just say that Conroy has a lot of characters to write about for sure in the Lowcountry! Lol

Default Eating out tonight

Im going to an upscale Italian place with friends. The plan is exercise first, decide what to order before I go (fish). And don't even look at the homemade bread or pasta. Wine is a given so maybe I should skip the starches/ fruits earlier in the day...

Talking about Beaufort, I vacation there for a few days once a year sometimes more. Love the area. Many times we go to Savannah, stay a couple days, then got o Charleston, SC and stay , and then come home. Love both places.. Just beautiful .

Well, ladies, my experiment this week was planned and this is what I did and will tell you what the scale says Tuesday. I went to Duncan Donuts, had an Flavored coffee with Skim Milk and splenda, and had a whole grain bagel with veggie cream cheese.. This is first time on maintenance that I have had a full bagel, as carbs are not favorable to my weight. But, all in all, enjoyed it and that is that, and we shall see.

Fluffly in Florida, sorry you did not make the board, but you are so close you will next week. That will be some accomplishment.

lovetofishandrun...Congrats on your loss..

Wishing everyone a great day.
