Hey, Skinny!
you are right about the iPad and the iPhone auto corrects - i am sending out crazy messages unless i doublecheck! i'm used to abbreviating on the iPhone and that doesn't go over well at all! :-) And SIRI doesn't understand half the time what i'm saying which is very funny at times! Call who? worse than pocket dialing! im trying to enunciate when i talk to her and i think that is tripping her up! i'll keep working on her though! maybe i could see if she can call me BIG DOG! haha
have a great weekend!

Yeah for your weight loss Bigdog! Your excitement is encouraging. I too will be walking a beach soon and need the same results! Were moving to Hawaii and I want to look great in a bikini. Have fun on your vacation! Oh and strut your stuff ;0)

I've dropped all the water weight I gained during TOM, plus a little more. Woo-hoo.

Big dog, congrats on the loss! You are an inspiration. Excited for you!

Hang in there, MKROYER. Hopefully the weight will come off quickly once TOM is over. Stick to the program. It works. I know you know that.

Weighed in today. Down 1.5 lbs since Tuesday. MUCH better than Tuesday's weigh in.

I had a meal replacement bar for the first time today. I thought I was in heaven. They were soooo yummy. I had the caramel crunch one and it tasted just like a candy bar. Or maybe not. It's been so long since I had one maybe I just don't remember what I'm missing. Lol. Either way it was so good. Actually just what I needed to renew my commitment, if that makes sense. I felt like I had a treat, and without going of program! So now I won't be tempted to go off program to satisfy my chocolate craving.

Hope everyone has a happy friday!

Ive never tried the meal replacement bars..... do you still get to eat veggies along with it? or is that all you get? what, exactly, do they "replace" per meal?

MKROYER, you can have a bar up to 3 times a week to replace breakfast or lunch. With lunch you can veggies with it or not. It replaces your protein and fruit/starch. i think the cals range from like 150-200 and has about 12 or so grams of protein depending on the kind you eat. You can't have a bar and a creamy HNS on the same day. It's great to have handy if you are out and don't have time for an actual lunch. Just eat a bar and have an HNS and you are good to go.

wow, people are doing well! Yay Bigdog! Yay COChick! It must be the promise of summer. which unfortunately feels a long way off out here in the Northwest.. Im in jeans and a sweatshirt as i write this. but hey, they are new size 10 jeans, so not complaining. Before i started this i was stuffing myself into 14s and could hardly sit down. Im pretty sure i was really a 16 but just hadnt faced it.

Speaking of jeans, I had posted before on how challenging it is to get ones that fit right. I am wearing levi 512s, straight legged. The legs are narrow enough to look modern without being so skinny that everything shows. And they arent $100 like so many. Highly recommend! but the boot-cut version of 512s is way too big in the waist. I think they might work on a curvy person, but i am pretty straight with not much difference between waist and hip.

Camping this weekend for me too. looking forward to a roasted chicken in the cast iron dutch oven on the campfire. No sweets or other temptations are going along, so maybe i will come home just a little lighter. Yesterday i saw 160 for the first time. Often I will go up and down a little for a few maddening days before I finally settle into a number that i am hoping for, so by Monday morning maybe I will be there for sure.

Patzi, loved that fritatta. You sound like a good cook!

Yeah, I am so far off program today it is really just pathetic. I am too sick to cook, I hate allergies, and I absolutely loathe sinus problems. You can't eat, you can't sleep, you just lay there coughing and sneezing and sniffling and sore and wishing you could just cut your head off (but as my husband says, it is the reattaching it that is really the problem).

I have left him to cook for me, and since nothing sounds good (on or off program, food just sounds blah right now in all it's incarnations). He has taken it upon himself to find me something I like. So I just had a chocolate protein drink for breakfast, and canned soup for lunch. The idea of trying to lose weight right now, when it feels like bees have built a hive in my skull, is just so far off my radar.

I really hope I get feeling better before I start gaining weight again. For now it is back to the couch, cover myself in a blanket (which should lure in at least 2-3 fuzzy little space heaters) and try to get down some sinus soother tea (with honey, also not OP).

Congrats to the losers, I will be back with you soon I hope. Also, hope everyone has a great weekend camping and enjoying nature, or doing whatever makes you happy. I just realized that I cannot do the race for the cure tomorrow...so my hair is pink for nothing (well, other than having pink hair is cool, but that is beside the point).

Well, the 2 lbs I lost while in Boston must have had a later flight because THEIR BACK So instead of being 9 lbs from my goal, I'm 11. I admit I became lax when I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Going to recommit and make it to stabilization and maintenance within next 6 weeks.

Bigdog and Patzi - you are right about it working if you stick to the plan. Congrats to Bigdog and CoChick and all others that have lost or maintained. Galadreal - I feel your pain on SI I usually get 2 a year - spring and fall - no mater what I do. Guess that is what we get for living in AR. Feel better soon.

Congrats to all the losers!

Last night I made pasta for the family, and I picked up a noodle to taste...and then I went nuts. I always thought that sweets would set me off, but it turns out to be starches that I crave. I had a 1/2 lb gain on the scale this morning, and I def know why.
