My plan is to stick with my HNS drinks and practice careful portion control. I don't plan on indulging in desserts or soda, but I do plan on eating whatever my mom serves for lunch and dinner (which will be a lot of carbs & starch, and everything else that is on program will be loaded with butter and salt.)

I have been having a lot of trouble eating my veggie portion with my dinner every night. I am just sick of it! I have skipped the 4 oz of cooked veggies I'm supposed to have with my dinner for the past two nights (and even before that, I've only been eating 2 oz worth.) So today, I got sucked into buying Super Veggie.
i get tired of the veggies too so alot of times, i'll just cut up cucumbers or sometimes celery and snack on them..... sometimes just drink a V-8...not sure if that's on plan though...

I had maintenance weigh in and stayed the same... I am 5 /2 pounds under goal.

For those on stabilization and maintenance.. They are running a special of $59.00 for one year of maintenance.. I bought it.. Mine expires March , 2012, so this will take me thru March 2013. That is the least expensive I have ever seen maintenance.

For those on the program to lose weight.. This is just a suggestion, you should not substitute or add to what is on program, as the program is set up to eat what is there for a purpose.. If you want to substitute something, bring it up to the center, and they will help you work around it.. Same thing if you want to add something, ask their advise on it. I hope I did not hurt anyone's feelings by posting this, but you succeed if you stay OP, unfortunately.. I saw two of my friends fail by altering the program to fit what they wanted to do& cheating, etc.. But again, this is a personal choice to everyone, and I am not judging, just telling you what I know from experience. Hope this can help someone.

Today at center, lady lost 50 pounds and 64". She is 5'2. She is in a size 6 dress now from a 16.. Seems odd to see before and after pictures, as people look like a new person. s he is so tiny and slim now, and looks fantastic.. I notice people that have lost the weight have new hairdos, use more makeup and are so happy.

Wishing all a great weigh in and congrats to all those that have lost weight and inches.

It is good advice Patzi...and since you've been successful...those are some of the best opinions that count for me I know I was trying to "alter" a little and it slowed my progress. So I've been back strictly OP for 3 days and won't look back. It's a bit of a learning curve for me...not because I don't know, but because old habits die hard. I even plan on staying OP on Thursday rather than do the altered plan MRC does...there are way too many days the next month I could try and "alter" and get myself all messed up and lose a month of progress.

Daughter just came down with the stomach bug...so eating on Thanksgiving may not even be much of an issue

We appreciate all of your advice and motivation tips! and what's good about this forum is that everyone can express their opinions and i especially love that! you have always motivated me and love that you share your success and progress. if i can quote Camaswa, i'm not a MRC poster child and do deviate from the menu time to time. mainly because i feel like their recipes are i found not that great! :-) after my membership ends, i'm not rejoining but will follow the basic plan and keep the additional protein in my diet. i'm losing weight, feel great, have energy and none of the hormone issues i used to have or maybe it was the high carb surges i was experiencing and not hormones at all!! :-0 it is a great plan...i disagree w/ the use of the supplements but if they work for others, then that's great. Everyone is different and some plans work better for them depending on lifestyle and with this diet, Budget! (i am eating out less so feel like i have the $$ to spend on my protein mixes and meal replacement bars)

Thanks for your advice! I plan on sticking with the MRC plan & products (well, except while at my parents' house this Wed-Sat.)

So you added a year of maintenance? Why? Is it for the support they offer?

1bighog..

I did join maintenance for the support and the accountability.. Knowing I have to get on the scale, does it for me.. Makes me stay more focused..It is inexpensive being on mainteance, as I take none of their supplements except the Fat & Carb Blocker, and I only take that when I eat out... I have some HNS on hand and shakes, but I buy them from Diet Direct and only time I take any of that is if I am on a business trip.. Other than that, I eat real food with no supplements. So the HNS and shakes last me a very long time.

When I went to the stabilization graduation, I talked to three gals that are on maintenance and have kept the weight off 2 & 3 years, and they go and get weighed in once a week. I still go twice a week, but may change that to one after the first, I will see.

sounds like you have a great center to go to w/ support so it would be worth it. i know when i did WW before, i reached lifetime and once i reached my goal and did not go back to weigh in, gained it back and more. def. keeps me accountable to have someone weigh me each week. i hate that the closest center to me is an hour away..i would go more and attend the classes if it was closer... i actually liked the classes i went to at WW in a group setting and met some great people. it was like getting on this forum and sharing ideas except it was in person. i always learned something new just like here on this forum :-)

Well, the stomach bug has hit our house. It's going around the area...and it is one that takes people several days to recover from So I may not end up having to worry about what to eat on Thanksgiving. I don't always catch what the kids have, so I am hopeful.

Hope you feel better soon. I just got over it and it lasted 5 days. And of course my body hating me the way it does (just kidding), I gained instead of lost lol. Of course it was all water weight from not drinking enough so it came right off.

Again feel better and hopefully you can still enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.

Big Dog...
I will look into the Nashua Site. That is a great sale Diet Direct has. You had mentioned that before... If you buy $59.00 worth, $10.00 coupon and free shipping. Only thing I use is HNS , shakes and the cocoa. I love their variety pack cocoa.. That cures my chocolate or sweet crave at night if one comes up.

Nice refreshing drink.. Bring this to work and sip on during day..

Lipton puts out a tea called White tea, blueberry & pomegranate. I have this large applesauce jar, and I put about 3-4 teabags in there, boiling water and let steep ... When cool I put in fridge.. When I take to work, I add peach HNS or Pomegranate HNS with some stevia for sweetener and it is so refreshing and delicious.. I usually only drink decafinated tea as that can be counted as water, but this is not, but I like it, and figure one of my maintenance options.. My friend tried it with some liquor in it, but not sure which, I think tequila, but again, not sure. Watch your sweetener, as you may not need it when you add the HNS, but I like it with a bit of stevia and sometimes some fresh mint from garden.

Hi..
I put an order in yesterday with Diet Direct and did not order the chocolate truffle powder.. I put it on search and could not find it... Whenever someone has a chance, would you be so kind as to give me the exact name and the manufacturer so I can look up the specs on it and order next time around.

I should have done live chat, but at time was in a hurry.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.... One think I am blessed with is that I found this forum of friends that have been a great help to me.
