Okay, I finally updated my profile pic. I have also attached a pdf to this post with my before, during (-30lbs), and after (-50lbs) for my current weight.
Junie, I think you need to post a before/after pic! I always love looking at the ones people post--it is so inspirational!
ETA: Hmmm. My profile pic didn't change. I'll have to work on that.
YOU LOOK FABULOUS DAAAA-LING! Great job! Keep up the great work!
Patzi,
I'm so sorry you're feeling down. Just think of how many of us would give anything to be as close to goal as you! You're doing so well!
Junie04,
Wowsers! Look at you! Awesome-sauce!
Went to weigh-in today and after 2.5 weeks of bouncing around between the same two numbers with no loss (I went up two, then dropped them, then up one, then dropped one - GRR!), I'm down 2 pounds, making it a total of 25 pounds lost. YIPPEE!!! This means that I've met my first mini-goal and get a new set of earrings. Holla!
HOLY COW, I JUST REALIZED I'M HALF WAY TO GOAL! *Singing Bon Jovi* Oh, I'm halfway there. Oh-oh! Living on a prayer!

teacherlady79 - Your pictures are beautiful and the change that 50 pounds can make is amazing. . . I can't wait to have some "after" or even "in progress" pictures of my own!
Well, I have made my initial goal!! I am so excited today that I can't stop smiling. I think now I will go for a lower goal weight because I am not happy with where I am. Has anyone gone through this?
Congratulations!! I know it takes a lot of dedication to lose 80 lbs. I am also afraid that I will not be happy at my goal weight. We will see when I get there.
Teacherlady and Junie04, you both look great!!! One of these days I will see if I can get a before and during comparison. I think it would be good for me since I cannot see much of a difference. But you know how it is - we are our own worst critics.
It came today, two weeks early! Weird! That must be it. I'm glad it's not the exercising. I'm LOVING the gym. So much fun!
Even though I'm on the pill, my cycle has changed a little with my weight loss.
When I was skinny (10 years ago), my period would start on Wed or Thurs of the week of my placebo pills. As I gained weight, it gradually started moving to Thurs or Fri, until it was Friday night that it started. After I lost about 25lbs, all of a sudden my period was starting on Thursday, and now I start my period on Wednesday morning of the placebo week.
I think the weight loss is actually helping to regulate my cycle a little bit--which is promising, because the whole reason I went on the pill when I was 19 was because I was sooooooooo irregular. We're hoping to try for our first pregnancy this summer, so I'm hoping this weight loss is really kicking my system into some kind of "normal."

I just got on the pill Wednesday to regulate my period. Before MRC, I would have my period once every 3-4 months, and it would last about a week. But since I started losing, TTOM came and never left (34 days straight and counting), and brought with it acne like you would not believe. So, I got on Yaz, to hopefully get it to stop. (I know, maybe a little too much information to share)
The center told me that my period might change, but holy cow, I felt like I was dying. My friend told me, "you should really be afraid of something that bleeds for a week and doesn't die". My poor husband felt bad for me and told me, "I can't wait until we get this resolved". I, unfortunately, snapped at him and said, "We? Who is we? The only affects you are feeling is the lack of marital bliss at bedtime (OK, I said it differently, but you get the point)".
So, long story short, hopefully this side effect of getting healthy will go away soon.
