Welcome to your new way of life. According to calculations, you are losing about 3.2 pounds per week. That is a great loss. I feel like if I lose weight too fast, I am more likely to put it back on as soon as I get off plan. I average about 2.7 pounds per week and have 78 total pounds to lose. Suggestions might be to increase water (make sure you are maxing out your daily intake) and to add in exercise (you may already be doing these suggestions). You may also have times that you plateau and don't lose or even gain a week. Don't get frustrated, we all go through it. This is your body getting used to its new lifestyle.
I am sure others have even better suggestions, and I look forward to hearing them for myself.

Hello and welcome to the boards!
I have also been doing MRC for 3.5 weeks, but have only lost 8 pounds, so I think your weight loss is awesome! Of course, how much weight we lose per week depends on our current weight and metabolism.
I agree with the water and exercise recommendation. Water helps your body eliminate the fat, and exercise makes you feel great!
Well, I am mad. I keep going up an down a pound on my home scale. I am going to weigh in this morning, but I still don't think its going to register 1 pound down for my 40 pound loss.
I have been OP great, doing tons of water and 4 HNS daily. I worked out Sunday and Tuesday. I know stalls happen, and this has only been a week...but its frustrating none the less.
Let's hope the MRC scale is forgiving. I need to show a loss.

Are you eating much fresh veggies vs. cooked? When I stalled out, they suggested eating fresh veggies at least one meal every day, plus adding a fiber drink once a day. Worked for me! Now, whenever I stall or whenever it seems like I have only been eating cooked veggies, I make sure I throw in a few large salads (even though I don't particularly like salad).
I will try that. They also suggested I do 3-4 days of Meta Quick this weekend. But I will make my veggies at dinner raw and see how that works.
One way or another, I'm busting out of the 170s.
My center has not been terribly helpful since my weight kind of stalled - I've lost 3 pounds in the past 3.5 weeks, though I was averaging 3 pounds per week before that. I placed a call into the center this morning, but all they'd tell me is what they've told me at my past 7 weigh-ins: "It's medically impossible to follow the menu without losing weight." Yeah, I get that. But, something's up! They're supposed to call me back, so I'm hoping they've got some better insight than, "Keep doing what you're doing."
I may have to take matters into my own hands and go back to the blue menu for a few days. But hopefully, my center will pull through and off some encouraging change! I'm just slightly disappointed in them right now.
I have a question about platues. I know that some people platue around day 7-10 but I was wondering if this is 7-10 days on the regular menu or is preconditioning included.
I started preconditioning about 2 weeks ago but am only on day 6 of my menu. I lost 8 lbs on preconditioning but have actually gained 1 pound since starting the menu. The consultant said my eating, water and exercise were perfect (I've maxed out HNS each day) and just to keep it up, but acted surprised when the scale went up 1 lb instead of down. So I am wondering if there is anyone else who did not lose when first starting the menu. I feel like I am eating a ton of food, all the time.
I have too much invested in this to give up, but I guess I'm looking for a logical reason for why I am not losing weight since starting the actual plan and am really hoping that it is the platue they talked about so that soon the number will go down! (maybe by tomorrow when I go back - fingers crossed)
I'm not sure if this would help any of you experiencing the dreaded plateau, however, my center always tells me to increase my water intake during those times. That 64 oz. should be the minimum, but it should at least be half of what my weight is, if not more. For example, 200 lbs = 100 oz water a day. Just a thought. It seems to help me when I go through those times. Not always, but it does help. Hang in there.
I'm doing finals this week for school, but some are already on my blog - what do you like, prefer on meats? I can start there since the book is sectioned off by sauces, breakfast, lunch, dinner & crockpot recipes.
I found the book on Amazon! Used and a better price... thanks so much for offering!
I've lost 3 pounds in the past 3.5 weeks, though I was averaging 3 pounds per week before that.
I was feeling similarly frustrated for the past week and a half. I've only lost 1 pound since my March 1st weigh in... HOWEVER...
They measured my BMI and Fat% with the Tanita scale and although I've only lost that 1 pound ... my BMI has gone from 38.3 to 27.9 in the past 3.5 weeks... and my body fat % has gone from 43.5 to 35.1!
So, although I'm not seeing pounds lost... I'm losing major fat. I'll bet you're doing the same thing!
" do all the recipes contained in that use the HNS packets or are there recipes that do not have HNS... i am not able to make a decision whether to buy it or not...help..( i prefer the cookbook have not many or any HNS recipes)."
