Teacherlady - I had to stop taking "bites"...not because I couldn't control myself but because it was throwing me out of ketosis and then I would have a blood glucose spike or dip....it caused all sorts of problems. I talked to my gal at the center and she explained it all to me and I haven't wanted to take samples of anything since! Hope that helps...don't stress too much, you've done so well!!!
One more question Teacherlady, if you buy the reg HNS's online at dietdirect.com does the center ever question you on why you have not ordered anymore from them or do you just order the minimum with them and the rest online?

THey've never said anything to me. I do still buy from the center here and there, mostly when I'm runnning low and haven't put an online order in lately. But nobody seems to really have noticed so far.
Well, I had a pity party in a store dressing room today.
I feel like I've done all this work, lost 20 pounds and I am still too fat for dept. store dresses. I did find one that I am happy with (and I'm keeping the tags on it until we leave in case I get into the dress I want)...but I am just angry tonight. I'm angry at my body for being so weird in where it loses, I'm mad at the dress designers for making things too clingy and tight, I'm mad at myself for not working harder....just mad.
Sorry to rant, but I knew you ladies would understand, where as no one else in my life knows how this feels right now.
We have all been there. I have lost 55 pounds, and I'm still waiting to see how losing another 20 is going to look and how clothes will fit. I put on an outfit yesterday that was so big and baggy that it looked like crap, and I wore it around all day. But the waist of those pants still fit me - the proportions are just jacked. When I get to goal I'm going to invest in some tailoring down the road. But not today. Yes, I'd like to wear the pretty, slimming clothes now, but I'm not finished and I'm spending too much money at the center to have it both ways. No need to apologize...you are in the right place to vent your frustration. Hang in there, things will get better!
Yep, been there razorbackbritt! On the positive side, I think that I lost evenly all over for those 7 months. Usually, I would lose in my face first, then arms, then belly, then butt and thighs. I really lost inches all over every month. I hear you, though...you work so hard and want your body to show it! We had a huge vacation to a little French town in Canada about 3 months into MRC. I reaaaaly wanted to look great, and I had lost about 20 lbs. It seems like I snapped my fingers and 4 more months had passed by and I was at my goal weight. So hang in there!
So, basically, WW is becoming more like MRC. Not NEARLY as strict (can still have carrots, onions, grapes, etc.), but valuing fresh, lean foods more than processed, carb-rich foods. And looking at how hard the body has to work to digest the foods, as well.
For me, it kind of verifies the effectiveness of the MRC diet... I mean, more diets are aligning more closely to the MRC philosophy in order to become more effective.
Too bad they didn't do this 5 or 10 years ago. I would have had more success at my WW attempts back then if they point system was more like this.
I weighed in and stayed the same, which was kind of what I expected. I lost 3lbs last week, and between that (I usually stay the same the WI after a 3 or 4lb loss) and my few indulgences last weekend, I kind of figured I'd stay the same. And I'm okay with that.
And now, for a (hopefully) relatively easy OP week.
So I bought two new HNS today...grape and Hot Chocolate and they are soooo good! The hot cocoa is amazing and a great treat. Don't get stuck in a HNS rut....try a new box of something new....you might be surprised and find something to keep you out of a flavor rut.

The Hot Cocoa is my absolutely favorite thing!!! It's even better than "real" cocoa, lol.
For those of who have Whole Foods or Natural Foods Markets...I picked up some great spice rubs and spice mixtures today at WF. They are totally OP - only sea salt in one of the 3 that I got. A blackened cajun seasoning, thyme and lemon and tequila lime (no actual alcohol, just spices that resemble lime). I am so excited - I am always looking for ways to "spice" up my protein and veggie
I weighed in yesterday...up .5 lb but that's always the case on Tuesday nights. Should be down by Saturday and that makes me thrilled considering I went off plan last week (and ate cake and monkey bread - ps, WAY too much yeast, sugar and wheat at once!!). I also attended the connections class on feelings...it was very enlightening! It's interesting to discover things about ourselves and how we relate to food...I especially tend to be a self-fulfilling prophecy and it was good to hear that you can break the cycle DURING the cycle. If you're beating yourself up, You CAN turn around and help yourself...not give in to your own badgering. At any rate, very uplifting!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday evening and rest of the week! Enjoy your hot cocoa
