Then I added a bunch of dried herbs. A teaspoon each of thyme, rosemary, sage, a bay leaf, parsley, and celery leaf. Also added garlic powder, pepper, and crushed red pepper. I let that simmer until the chicken shredded.

For each bowl, I add a packet of chicken boullion to the broth in each individual bowl. I think the HNS when it cooks for a while gets icky. I also added some green peas for dinner.

I added brown rice to it for my husband for dinner, and he loved it too! Yummy chicken soup!
This sounds really yummy! I've been trying to figure out how best to make a chicken & veggie soup for myself--I"ve been craving soups lately--and this sounds perfect! I can just add some celery, peppers, zucchini, and green beans to get my veggies in. Thanks for posting!

So, I anxiously went to weigh in today, and was relieved to see I didn't gain anything from my hellish weekend at Disneyworld--not even waterweight! Disappointed not to sign the 30lb board today, but relieved that I didn't take any steps backward.

I also think I'm going to take advantage of the Black Friday specials and go ahead and re-enroll (my contract isn't actually up until 12/27) for another 10 weeks for $59. I know I want to lose 20-30lbs more than where I am right now, and my weight loss is probably going to slow somewhat during the holidays.

Here's hoping for at least a 1-lb loss this week (despite Thanksgiving day), so I can sign the 30lb board!

I hope to not gain any as well, I don't expect much of a loss for me this week. I have a friends birthday party Tuesday night, a friend's thanksgiving dinner Wednesday night, and two Thanksgiving lunch/dinner on Thursday. I plan on only eating turkey at the first two dinners. I also hope to do some extra exercising this week.

Sounds wonderful! I just love soups in cold weather. Last night I mixed steamed broccoli, chedder cheese and chicken & veggie HNS. It was yummy!

WI today...I am so excited to report that I hit 20 pounds!! Yay!! I'm on the 32nd day and I feel this is great success. My goal to lose 36.5 by January 17th will hopefully before Christmas (and my birthday on the 23rd - I'm ready for cake, lol). I am so blown away and excited. I am the person that never sees results (on WW, on my own, cycling 3-5 hours a day)...NEVER see more than 5 pounds move and I've lost 20!! I feel so blessed to have found MRC and to be seeing these results. Just the motivation I need to get through Thanksgiving

I weighed in and lost .6 pounds today.

Teacherlady, so delighted to hear you did not gain from the weekend, and Improvit, I am so happy for you. Way to go.

I WI today and had no loss or gain, just stayed the same. They think this is that plateau they told me about. It is supposed to happen between 7-10 days. Today is day 9 so I suppose it makes sense. I'm happy I did not gain but I'm worried I will gain after Thursday since I didn't lose any. I was a little disapointed that I didn't lose anything because I wanted to sign the 10lb board. It's ok after Thursday I'll be good to go and hopefully more motivated to stay on plan.

Hey there,
Just talk yourself through it - the weight gain/loss you're looking at these first 2 weeks is not a typical "fat" loss. If you gain, you should not be disappointed. It means your body is working exactly how it should! Your cells are filling with water so they don't collapse! It's temporary and all part of the process. If you are following the plan, you have nothing to be disappointed about - you will sign that 10lb board before you know it!

Congratulations! I have had the same experience .. seeing very little results with other diets. It was always so frustrating.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I love everyone's before/after pictures, so I put a few of mine together in a pdf to post. Mostly, I just wanted to show off what losing 29lbs did to my face and neck (and figure--I have a waist!).

I attached the pics (taken Aug 30 & Nov 16) to this post.
