Thanks Karla! I've been told to cut back on water as well, when I first started plan I was drinking about 150 - 190 oz a day and they told me that my body was going to just retain that much water. I was told 120oz was probably enough.

Phew....that is a comfort to know that someone else was told that. I woke up this morning with my hands swollen like my rings were snug again. I think I am definetly retaining water b/c the scale is not moving at home. I am going to cut back & wait to see if that helps. I didn't go WI this morning b/c of all of this.

I love being at the point in this process that people are NOTICING I have lost weight. We had dinner out with friends last night, and they commented on how great I look. Then today I was running errands and another friend I haven't seen in a while gave me a high five when I told her how much I had lost.

I love the validation and the encouragement that gives me!

Thanks for giving me a place to share that!

Laurie

Just wanted to share what my first week has been like. On Monday, I started Preconditioning. I weighed in on Wednesday and had lost 2.5 pounds. I came for the meeting on Friday and weighed again and lost 4 more pounds, for a total of 6.5 in 5 days....Very excited. My highest weight was probably 291, but I started MRC at 281. So total I've lost about 16 pounds...how much does it generally take to go down in clothes sizes? I feel like I'm peeing all the time. Went from eating out all the time to this strict diet and it's been great. Just started the plan today. I was dreading the drinks, but I am actually loving them! Can't wait to have a tracker...they are so cute!

I can't wait for people to notice my weight loss. I think they should notice by now, but oh well. I'm trying to keep my diet quiet because I want those comments...they are so encouraging!

I need clarification, please. When I look at my menu it says Supplemental "clear" drinks. Not sure exactly what that means, help!

chicken - "clear" drinks are any of the HNS drinks other than hot cocoa, pudding, cappucino and soups. Basically they are the drinks that mix up clear for the most part...usually are more watery as well as the "creamy" supplements are not clear and usually are a bit thicker. Not all of the "clears" are clear though...just fyi...the lemon for example is opaque, but is still called a clear drink. If that didn't help, let me know...

Give it another week.......don't forget, your cells are losing fat and plumping themselves up with water,...water weights more than fat......once you step on the Tanic (sp?) machine at your center you'll see you're losing fat....I know it sounds a little silly but trust me, voice your concerns and frustrations to your counselor and they will explain to you that you'll soon start seeing the scale go down. Hang in there,....bide your time and stick to the plan. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!
