Went to WI yesterday and dropped 5 lbs! thats 7.5 in a week! I am so excited. I've upped my exercise to over 2 miles a day and then LOTS and LOTS of water. Guess it paid off?

Hey everyone...i'm trying to catch up. Lots of great things happening!

We went out of town and I decided not to worry about being OP. I didn't go crazy, but I didn't do great either. Oh well. I go to WI today and I'm expecting a gain, but I'll drop it quick and move on. I feel AWEFUL. I wanna get back into eating like I should and get my body back in line. Traveling + bad food + lack of sleep = one messed up system. Ugh. I'll keep you posted on how the WI goes later today.

I feel ya!!!!!!!!!
I have a 3 week vacation coming up in 4 weeks and my plan is to stay OP as much as possible but I know there are going to be times that I will go off plan. I am going to drink ONLY water and walk on the beach, swim, etc and do my best with making as many smart choices as possible!

Question: When you guys go on vaca and either have preplanned to eat off plan or it 'just happens'...do you still have your daily allowance of HNS? I was planning on taking them regardless but wanted some input.

ohhhh and do you guys take the carb/fat blocker stuff when you have 'preplanned offplan'? I am wondering if this will make me visit the restroom alot.. ya know what I mean?

and thank you guys for the

I didn't take the HNS because I'm cheap and I didn't want to waste the HNS. I gained 3 lbs. but it came back off fast.

I always drink them anyway ... I figure when eating off plan, the added protein helps keep my body burning the protein and then the swing in blood sugar won't be as drastic ... it will still happen, but supposedly protein takes longer to burn which keeps the blood sugar from spiking as badly (which then triggers more awful food cravings and slows fat burning).

Today I decided I am going to quit fooling around and lose the 7 lbs.. I am done with this part of the program on May 13th so I don't have too long to get this done..I am going to do whatever I have to do to keep myself away and out of the chocolate which is the worst enemy I have in the world. So I am telling you all this so I can be accountable to all of you.. My problem with the chocolate usually hits me at night.. Don't know why and so far neither does anyone else. It is like crack.. I need rehab,,, so I will do this.. If I don't I will post my address and you all can come whoop my rear end..!

Cheers!

Ronnie, you are totally in a head battle at this point. Won't the chocolate pudding hns, mixed thick like brownie batter address this demon? You can do this. You Must!

You can do it Ronnie.. I know it's hard.. You should look on diet direct.. Proti Diet has these chocolate bars that are actually protein bars.. They are a bit pricey, but I keep them in the house in case I get a choc craving. They have a bit more calories than a clear HNS. but work for me. I feel like I'm still eating chocolate, but I'm not being as bad as if I had regular chocolate.. I use them in place of a creamy. The pudding just doesn't do it for me.. I need the crunch.. They taste like a Krakle bar.. They also have actual brownies, but they are HIGH in calories..

You've just got to figure it's less than a month - so every day you stick it out you've won a victory. Look how far you've come and how well you've done! You just need to hunker down and get er done! We'll all send good vibes your way as you do it!

Ronnie, I too love chocolate and all things sweet, my saving grace has been BariWise protein bars...I used to eat the Proti bars but after trying a sample of the BariWise I was hooked...I eat one a day...I know more than I ought to but I have not had any stalls and they are very good...a couple are just like eating a candy bar without the after taste.

Mel - I've traveled both ways. Hubby and I went to DC a few years ago when I was OP. We were there 2 weeks. I ate mostly OP...I treated myself to a popsicle on a 100+degree day when we were walking the National Mall...and had a couple other allowances, but not many. I also drank a ton of water, all my HNS and walked miles and miles and miles. I lost 11lbs in two weeks on that trip. Crazy.
This trip (and many others between then and now) i've planned to do as good as I could, but not be too worried about it. I always take HNS with me, in case I have cravings (i still try not to snack too much off plan, thats dangerous for me), but mostly I try to eat "smart" and not worry about the rest too much. I didn't do the fat and carb blocker because I was worried about the bathroom thing too, and I am all about being responsible for my choices. I CHOOSE to eat ice cream...i'm gonna gain a little weight. I am really working to teach myself to balance this time around. If I have a few days out of town where I'm kinda free with what I eat, I'd better be ready to buckle down when I get back.

That being said...I gained 4lbs while traveling. Thats exactly what I expected. It'll all fall off this week and I'll be back on track. No worries

Well, it appears I decided to do maintenance for the month of April ... however, not being close to goal, probably not the smartest thing in the world. I just had a really hard time, but I'm thinking May is going to be a great totally OP month. No set-back in April, but no loss either ... booooo. So, here I am, back at it again! (gosh, I wish I would get tired of this game I play with myself already!)
