  • Hey girls. I'm sorry I've been MIA, this diet had me really down in the dumps.
I've found myself to be so tired that it's hard to do anything. I'm assuming this is pretty normal?
I've slacked on my water all weekend and paid for it this week at weigh in. I'll hopefully do better next week

I felt that way when I first started program and realized that there is *very* little iron in the foods that are on program. So if you tend to be anemic anyway, try adding a small iron supplement to your daily pills. It did wonders for me, I got all my energy back and more!
  • I'm leaving for 10 days in Peru on Saturday and am sorta nervous about possibly gaining back a couple pounds. My goal was to be at 199 on my home scale before I leave and it looks like it's going to happen. I was at 200.2 this morning. WOO!

I've got my bags packed with 50 HNS's, 30 Fibers, and 10 days of pills which sorta look like piles of crack in ziplocks. I hope I don't get arrested during my layover in El Salvador, how will I ever explain MRC in broken spanish?
  • GoalAug - You might want to take the pill bottles with you. I know they're big...but either that or take the labels with you. Thats a serious concern when traveling. Also...I know you know this, but put all of that in your checked bag. I traveled with a couple HNS in my bag domestically and they didn't love that. Have fun!!

Well...Easter put me up a half pound. No big deal really. I feel comfortable with that. I'm learning to balance. Next week I'm traveling. Last time I was up there I gained a few and I'm ok with that too. I refuse to put my host out to cook exactly what I need. I'm gonna avoid some things (ice cream, liquor, potatoes) and not worry about some others (like her cooking). She's an amazing cook, but cooks alot of rich foods. We'll see how it goes. I told the center and they tried to sell me fat/carb blocker and I'm just not sure I want to do that. I kinda feel like I want to be responsible for what I eat and not cheat my way out of it with a pill. Anyway, my goal is to be perfect this week and drop my Easter weight and maybe a couple more so I can be as far ahead as I can possibly be.
  • This morning my home scale says 199.2! WOOO first time i've seen a one before my weight probably since highschool and then I stopped weighing myself all together. This is an exciting day.

Hvnlymzic- yep, thanks for the advice, I think i'll take a few bottles and the HNS's have labels but will be in my checked baggage. I've flown with them on carryons for a couple days worth and haven't had a problem yet, but the international flight thing makes me a bit more nervous. I guess we'll see!

I went to Australia in August and brought tons of concentrates and all my pills with me. I bag them in lil baggies for breakfast, lunch, dinner and before bed then I had them all in a large ziplock. I had no problems at customs. I did tell them I had protein suppliments and vitamins and they just waived me through... Good luck!

Congrats on Onederland too! Great job!

I think that's the best possible way to look at it. And if there's something that you can't stand not to eat - take one bite and be done with it. It's the taste you long for - not the calories or the weight that comes with them. (Easy to say, I know )

    That's such a great accomplishment!

As for traveling - I would think you'd be eating lots of fruits and veggies in Peru. I'd think the protein will be the tricky part - my experience with third world meat was less than exciting. And, Hvnlymzic is definitely right about packing things in your checked luggage. You won't have to worry about those bags til you get to customs in Peru. Once I had quite a bit of contact solution along with a good supply of multi-vitamins and had quite a bit of explaining to do.

I giggled at this..lol. You got some good advice though, I've never really traveled with stuff like that before.

I will look into an Iron supplement for sure, thank you. I didn't even think about that. The dark circles under my eyes have been awful, and I know they're related (for me, at least).

I'm up a pound after the weekend and I didn't even do that bad. I had a few things off program, but I think what did me in was really slacking on my water. Sigh.
I'm trying to just stick it out and go with it. It's hard. I'm going to go back to the program and push the working out just a bit harder
  • Ug, i'm out of MRC-6 and my center said there was an order coming in before I leave for my trip and it's not here! Why do they run out of supplies sooooo often. Seems like every order I place leaves them owing me something still.
  • MRC-6 is on mega backorder...I think thats everywhere. And each case is only 12 bottles...
  • Quote: i am happy to hear that you are doing good...and that you are in good spirits and i am very impressed how well you are doing OP!!! congrats!
Hi Kimmer! Thanks. How are you doing?
  • Quote: Weighed in today, down 5 pounds this week! Woo! I haven't had a week over 3.5 pounds in a while.

I got to sign the 40 pound board and it felt amazing! Only 7 more pounds and I'm at that awesome 50 pound mark. I cannot wait. ^_^
OMG Salaam!!! You are killing it!!!!!
  • Quote: I had my WI today and am down 4.5 pounds this week for a total of 28. I'm going to sign the 30 board next week! I'm so happy I survived Easter with just a couple small slips but it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to me. I'm just really lucky to have a supportive mom who made sure I had the right food to eat, YAY Mom.
Mary that is a great loss!!!!
  • Yay for onderland! Have fun in Peru!
  • I went to WI on Wednesday & was down only 1lb, but I am going to WI tomorrow morning & getting measurements. I was told to cut back on my water...which I thought was strange. Has anyone been told this in the past? My average daily intake is 196oz. I increased my water intake b/c I have been working out. Also, I found it interesting that the consultant was not endorsing the shots.....she said "I agree with learning how to eat healthy versus a fast solution". I just figured I would share that with y'all. Have a great weekend!
