I have fallen into this pattern of one plateau week and one lose week..I added Corti-trim and got some Carb and Fat blocker to take on vaca. Anyone have any advice to knock me out of this stupid pattern?? I would so much rather have a steady loss.. I basically eat the same thing every day for breakfast and lunch.. The French toast for breakfast, Lettuce and cott cheese and pineapple for lunch, and some kind of meat (turkey, chicken, fish, etc and green beans/melba or 1 piece 40 cal bread for dinner. I am doing found supps a day and MRC-6, Enhancer, and Flax three times a day. I am losing , but it sure seems harder to lose this second thirty pounds!!
Did you try the asian turkey meatballs? I'm curious to find out if you liked them as much as I did. I use to dream my TOM too, but it's mine rihgt now and I've actually lost 2 pounds and am finding that since I'm on this program, I do not have the cravings that I use to. Granted, my hormones were WAY out of whack on Wednesday, but I still have thsoe changes. I agree with the other posters that said you might try and vary what you eat. I, too, eat the French toast each morning, but I vary my lunch/dinner always.

Do any of you know if we can have deli type meats, all I have looked at are so high in sodium but that would make an easy lettuce wrap to take in my lunch...please let me know and thanks again girls!
My center told me to only eat deli meat no more than two times a week and that you should ask for low sodium and that Jennie-O is the best. I've had Sara Lee and prefer the chicken myself. I asked Wal-Mart last week for low sodium meats and the only think they had was low-sodium honey ham (can't quite figure that one out).

I love to get a rotissorie chicken on Sundays and I can usually get another serving, if not 2 for left-overs. My center said to eat that no mroe than two times a week due to the sodium. Deli meat and the left-over rotissorie chicken have been a life saver for me at lunch times though. They also said to drink lots of water on teh days you eat these to 'flush'.

Oooh! I have an NSV to report (though it is probably TMI!) For as long as I can remember, when I wrap my bath towel around me, there has always been a little gap at the bottom with lots of thigh showing. Well...tonight, I had a complete wrap! No thigh was peaking out.

I choose to believe this is because my hips and thighs are getting a little smaller and not because my towel stretched and needs to be laundered.

Jace - are you near Lincoln, NE? If so, you can buy all kinds of buffalo (ground, patties, roasts, steaks) at Leon's Market. Steaks are pricey, though.

As for busy days, I find they work best when I have prepared food on hand. I try to keep Boar's Head turkey meat in the fridge all the time, and I also like to keep carved rotisserie chicken in the fridge, which makes it easy to throw together a meal in a pinch. The key for me is taking time to make all the food easy when I first bring it home. I just threw away a two week old rotisserie chicken--I never took time to carve it, and I didn't take time to eat it! What a waste! When I do take time to carve it and put in it a bowl, it is easy to pull it out of the fridge and weigh out an appropriate portion. If I bring home fruit like strawberries, I try to wash and slice those immediately, too, and keep them in a produce saver bowl.
Sounds like we have a lot of teachers in our midst! I teach K, and I'm finding it very difficult during the summer, too, to keep out of the "snacking" mode. I've found that when I "think" I need a snack I "GET OUT" and take a walk, go to the park, or do some yard work. Something to keep me busy & occupied AWAY from the temptations. Unfortunately we've been getting a lot of rain lately, so sometimes that doesn't work, but I need try to do something to get my mind off.

I have found that the little "snack size" Ziploc bags fit 4 oz. of chicken in them perfectly. I cook up my chicken, weigh it out, place in the snack bag, and freeze. It's always ready to put on the salad, or in a dish I'm cooking, and I don't have to worry about measuring it out.

How do you prepare your chicken? Do you cook up several chicken breasts at the beginning of the week and portion them out? I'm always looking for a better way! (And the one thing I really dislike about this diet is that it seems like I am always cleaning up the kitchen. Less kitchen clean-ups would make me very happy!)

I have tried so many new things on this diet that I had never even heard of before. Today, I ate spaghetti squash with melted mozarella cheese and grilled chicken with a few sprays of ICBINB. It was wonderful! I think next time, I may try putting some chicken bouillon HNS in there too.

I do have a question though, when I cooked my spaghetti squash, I microwaved it on a plate turned down with some water. When I ran the fork through it, my strands were really small. They weren't long like "spaghetti". Is this right? Maybe I cooked it too long? It still tasted really good though.

I had a WI today. I am down 3 more lbs, but that is for 2 weeks. For the past month I have been averaging around 1.5 lbs a week. It isn't as much as I would like to lose per week, but its a loss! It was my time of the month, so maybe that played a factor.

it has been crazy because i am working and finishing up this term of grad school! Can't wait for things to slow down a little more!

Hi everyone! I just started the beige menu today and I have to be honest it was pretty tough for me. But since preconditioning I am down 4 lbs so that is a good thing. I just can't believe how emotionally connected I am to food. But my question is did anybody else feel so weak and tired the first day? I am super exhausted, I hope this is normal. Thanks!

The first few days I was exhausted...I think that its normal. Your body trying to adjust. After the first week or so you will feel ten times better.

Hey everyone,

I haven't been around in about 2-3 weeks and looks like the June thread has started and everyone is doing great! Noahsmom - OMG, you are rocking it! Congrats!!!!

I've had a crazy (in the extreme) few weeks and was doing pretty well, but this past week I went totally offplan and wow, I paid for it. My body is soooo not used to grease and fast food anymore. I know I shouldn't be thankful that it made me sick, but ya know....it's how we learn right? LOL. Now I've been back on track for 3 days and feeling much much better!

Congrats to everyone with losses so far this month! Great job. You guys have me drooling over spaghetti squash now though, LOL. I've added it to the shopping list for today

Lori

After years of searching for jeans that seemed to be built with someone like me in mind, I found 2 different pair this weekend, and I wanted to share them with you guys. The first is the curvy fit by Eddie Bauer. I was actually able to go down a size in them, but they look clean & sharp, and they are comfortable! I also found a new brand at Marshall's called Seven for All Mankind. They don't fit quite as well as the EB pair, but I was pretty darn impressed with the fit, the look, and the comfort. Both were very slimming.

Hope this helps some of you who may be struggling to find well-fitting clothes for curvy gals. Because I got each pair at an outlet-type store, I paid less than $30 a pair. I think all my other jeans are now headed for the resale shop.

You know, I had a lot of trouble with being exhausted my first time around. By any chance are you going through caffeine withdrawal right now? Are you drinking enough water? Some things that helped me were adding in liquid minerals (you don't have to buy these from the center--you can get them at Sam's) and upping my intake of iron-heavy foods, like steak and spinach. When I was on the beige menu, I often had a 9 oz. sirloin, which is a little more than 6 oz. the menu called for, but it seemed to help with fatigue and did not seem to affect my loss. Also, it seems to help me when I get really tired if I can jump in a pool or take a brisk walk. You might also want to max out on your HNS while you are getting started.

If you are like me, you have probably been running off carbs for the last few years, and it will take some time for your body to adjust to the different blend of fuel you are giving it now, but it will get better. Hang in there!

Oooh! I had forgotten about spaghetti squash! Thanks for reminding me! I have only made it once, but I don't remember my "noodles" being long. I think they were 2-3 inches at best.
