4 miles, awesome!! how long did it take you out of curiosity? Hey, running is running no matter how it is accomplished. congrats!! Walking with Ella would be another way to get out and enjoy the weather. Noah loves going for walks around the neighborhood and seeing/hearing things!

Default I am so sick

Has anyone gone through a cold/flu while on program? I am super sick and having a hard time eating, all OP things are so hard to eat. Throat is killing me, monster headache, coughing like mad. Worried it will make me gain. And everything that sounds good is a total no no. This stinks. Just started this morning going down hill quick. I hate being sick.

Fifties lady you are sooo funny, i nearly forgot to laugh! Like I said, the neighbors were too worried about what emergency could possibly have caused me to roam the neighborhood to worry about why their dog was attempting to snap off my left butt cheek! And Noahsmama, thanks for the info. I am embarrassed to admit it took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk the 4 miles...I am terribly out of shape! Yikes! And thanks too for the Wii info, I dont have one or the $ for one now but I know lots of people who do and love it! Have a good night all!

Jace, Good for you for walking! I walked outside this morning and had to keep stepping over my dogs. It was cooler than I thought it would be so I tried to walk faster. I want to make a walking course in our backyard where the kids have worn a path with the fourwheeler.

Kristalin, when I was feeling horrible with my ruptured ovarian cyst, I ate the replacement bars a couple of times.

Great news, Lori. I'm a vampire too and wouldn't have it any other way.

Fifties, I agree with others who suggest you'll do better than you think. On my planned cheat I kept up with the supplements so it would smooth the transition back to being on plan more quickly.

noahsmama, who's Ella?

Sorry Edie! She was referring to my daughter Ella! Thanks for the encouragement! Also, I hope you feel better Kristalin, have you thought of freezing the liquid HNS's if you have any and eating them like a slush? Might help your throat! And I agree fiftieslady, once you start I feel you will be astounded with your progress. It will help you so much that you have done all this prior research, you wont have all those initial questions and uncertainties that I would guess to say all of us did! Night all!

Of course ... it's MY month!! LOL. It's always wonderful! Last year at this time I was getting ready for my wedding!! LOL. Our first anniversary is this weekend. I think we're still going camping... but I think we're leaving the kids at home.

This marriage is 2nd time around for both of us ... the first time each of us were married it was the justice of the peace/street clothes wedding. His lasted all of 6 months--mine lasted 12 years. This time we did it BIG. Big dresses, train, bridesmaids, groomsmen, 2 flower girls and 2 ring bearers. We were married outdoors and had a huge reception. It was everything we ever wanted... AND it rained after we got to the reception hall. Rain is good luck on your wedding day! Sadly ... we retired to our hotel "across the river" in Council Bluffs, Iowa... and were awakened at 2:30 in the morning by a TORNADO warning!!! LOL So we're a little leary of camping ... I have a feeling it's a tornado weekend in Nebraska.

Thanks little edie, I am having some difficulty with getting in my breadfast in the morning before leaving work. Read we were supposed to eat every 4-5 hours so midnight to 9 am when I get home just won't cut it. Are you on 12 hour shifts? When do you eat?
Also has anyone noticed a difference in Tom and breaking out? I have a zit so big on my chin that I should start charging it rent and Tom has not shown up yet and should have started last week. Know that fat cells store hormones and when loosing weight they are released but not sure how it will effect the cycle. Not my area of nursing, lol
For more good news, my womans 16 dress pants are too big, was wearing a 20-18 depending on style. Tried on a pair of 16 petite jeans that I have never worn, was a hand me down, and they are tight but can put them on! Went to the store and some guy checked out my butt, then smiled!!!!!!!!!
Fun!!!!!!!!!

Noahsmama,
I am so impressed at the number of inches you have lost!!! 32.5 inches in 6 weeks is just crazy! I started on May 1st and have lost 15.5 inches, which isn't too bad, but would like to see more. What suppliments were you taking? I was wondering when you came off of the beige menu, was it after getting below 200 lbs?
Keep it up girl!

Lori,

I work twelves. I eat breakfast food when I get home from work, lunch at 5pm, and dinner at midnight. I use drink fiber and HNS around 10pm and 4am. I'm still starving right before my meals but these make it more manageable.

TOM definitely affects me and is why I'm not worried about the scales this week. If I don't show a drop in weight next week I'll exercise more.

Sorry you are not feeling well.
All the hints I can think of: Drink your water, use the chicken bouillon to make a soup so veggies are soft and either have cottage cheese or throw chicken in soup for protein. May be do the protein so you can put melba toast on the soup with cheese on top, melt the cheese like a french onion soup. throw fruit into the blender with HNS and ice so it is cool and soothing.

Thanks Little Edie,
Was so hungry when I left work this morning, had to pass a Burger King on the way to the highway and thought how I could justify a breakfast sandwich. Take off the top or something, then I remember how greasy they are and tried to imagine how it would taste cold. Gross! Made it home and managed to eat my toast, egg and cheese before collapsing into bed. Think slower nights make me more tired then the busy ones.
Was a little worried about the no Tom but it will come. Off to a bubble bath with a peach mango hns/diet orange soda in a margarita glass, trashy romance novel and some me time!
Have a good night!

Default Finally - 20 pounds!

I finally hit the 20 pound mark today! Hallelujah!! I didn't have any room to spare...20 pounds exactly, but that's okay.

Good luck to everyone with upcoming weigh-ins. We can make it!

Yahoo! Congradulations! Just checked something, the dog food I bought was a 20 lb bag. Imagine carrying that around all the time and not be able to put it down. You lost a entire dog food bag of fat! You rock!

Why thank you very much! I, too, was rather impressed. I take MRC-6, Cortitrim, ADWL, MSM, and flax of course. They put me on the green menu when I was at 203 because I was expressing concern over the size of the protein portions and I of course then hit a plateau and hovered in the 200's for almost 3 weeks if I recall. But ordinarily they want you to be under 200 for the green. Congrats on your losses so far too!!
