I work at a camp for kids in the foster care system with a history of abuse or neglect. They are kids that wouldn't be able to go to any other kind of camp. It is exhausting, emotionally draining and rewarding all rolled into one. This was a co-ed camp for 7 -11 year olds. In the middle of July I will do a similar one for 12 - 15 year old girls. The older girls is an emotionally TOUGH camp.

Welcome back. I returned too after gaining some pounds. It's better to get it under control now than later. Looking forward to it!

I did have 4 strawberries yesterday in the car and 1 bite of carrot today while making a salad. Very minor off program deviations, but I want to stay mindful, otherwise its too easy to slip off in a big way.

3 more days than bye bye blue menu for ever and hello green
Yeah! Green Menu. It is so much better with so many choices. Hang in there!

I just called the center and talked to the counselor who I had my first consultation with. I'm hoping someone can help me with some MRC knowledge. I asked if they ever have specials, since I believe someone here said her center was offering a special right now....of course, she said no....but she said instead of joining for the 24 week period at $398, I could join for the 17 week period at $298 and then sign up for another 24 weeks for $99...can this be correct? How can I get 41 weeks for the same price for the initial plan she wanted to start me on at 24 weeks....maybe I misunderstood, so I'm hoping someone may help me so I don't have to call her back up acting like an idiot to explain it again.

I wish I had more advice to offer you. All I know is I paid $399 which was 24 week os program, 6 wks of stabilization, and a year of maintenance. That sounds very confusing. I just have no idea honestly!

I've been OP for 57 days and have lost 27 pounds and 36.5 inches. Just had to share because I was pretty happy. I guess I was hoping for mroe inches lost, only 4 more inches in 4 weeks? That seems hard for me to believe. I'm guessing my inch loss will slow down. I lost 19 in 2 weeks, then 32.5 at 4 weeks and now 4 more. I'm just thankful that I'm continuing to lose!

You are doing awesome! 27 pounds? amazing! And that is over 3 feet of fat gone forever! All in 57 days? Wow. Just think, that time would have past if you were on plan or not, but you would not be where you are now if you hadn't been on plan kicking butt!

Well I'm official...I resigned. On a happy note the Lincoln center was running a special 17 weeks for $79 (resign) although I "should" be done in 11. I have to say I loved the Lincoln center they seemed very nice.

Its nice to see lots of familiar faces on here as well as some new ones! This site was a big part of my original success with the plan so looking forward to this new journey.

Denise (namaste) you look amazing... I've got to tell you I still make your salsa all the time and people always love it and want the recipe. Not bad for "diet" food

I am curious, the Lincoln center is running special for 17 weeks....that must not be for newcomers, is that correct. I called today to see if there were any specials and I was told they don't run specials. She quoted me 17 weeks at $298. or the 24 weeks at $398. I am wondering if this is just for people who join for the first time?

Those prices seem about right for the initial. I paid $298 the first time for 17 weeks.

The special is only to resign. It seems that most of the centers run incentive aka discounted programs for those who have done the program before and need to lose again. Usually it runs about $99 for 10 weeks and $149 for 17 weeks to resign. But they will sometimes have "specials" on those prices. I think the initial prices are pretty standard. Does that help??
