All the hints I can think of: Drink your water, use the chicken bouillon to make a soup so veggies are soft and either have cottage cheese or throw chicken in soup for protein. May be do the protein so you can put melba toast on the soup with cheese on top, melt the cheese like a french onion soup. throw fruit into the blender with HNS and ice so it is cool and soothing.
thanks Lori. just woke up for a look then back to sleep I am afraid. Think it might be afterhours care when fiance gets home from work with car. my mom is a saint she took baby to her house and keeping her over night so she doesn't get sick and i can sleep!

This marriage is 2nd time around for both of us ... the first time each of us were married it was the justice of the peace/street clothes wedding. His lasted all of 6 months--mine lasted 12 years. This time we did it BIG. Big dresses, train, bridesmaids, groomsmen, 2 flower girls and 2 ring bearers. We were married outdoors and had a huge reception. It was everything we ever wanted... AND it rained after we got to the reception hall. Rain is good luck on your wedding day! Sadly ... we retired to our hotel "across the river" in Council Bluffs, Iowa... and were awakened at 2:30 in the morning by a TORNADO warning!!! LOL So we're a little leary of camping ... I have a feeling it's a tornado weekend in Nebraska.
First of all - Happy Anniversary!!

Secondly, I remember that tornado warning at 2:30 am last year. We had a lot of tornado warnings last year! So far, so good this year! I will try and make a call to the weather gods and request good weather for your camping trip!

And Noahsmama, thanks for the info. I am embarrassed to admit it took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk the 4 miles...I am terribly out of shape! Yikes! And thanks too for the Wii info, I dont have one or the $ for one now but I know lots of people who do and love it! Have a good night all!
Jace...think positve...that dog biting off your left butt cheek would have guaranteed you a weight loss for sure...at least a coupld of pounds...lol.

To take on 4 miles your first time out....that is so very brave...that's quite a trip....and I am so proud of you....especiallly in the hot humid weather...good job girl!

Junie....congratulations on your up and coming anniversary....your wedding sounded fabulous! Wish you great weather for camping.....we have been caught in some pretty bad storms while camping or sailing, not a time to be without a basement or a ditch! Good luck....and enjoy!!!

Also has anyone noticed a difference in Tom and breaking out? I have a zit so big on my chin that I should start charging it rent and Tom has not shown up yet and should have started last week. Know that fat cells store hormones and when loosing weight they are released but not sure how it will effect the cycle. Not my area of nursing, lol
For more good news, my womans 16 dress pants are too big, was wearing a 20-18 depending on style. Tried on a pair of 16 petite jeans that I have never worn, was a hand me down, and they are tight but can put them on! Went to the store and some guy checked out my butt, then smiled!!!!!!!!!
Fun!!!!!!!!!
Lori...congratulations in downsizing....that has to feel super! (plus the guy who eyed you...now that is a compliment)

I can't help you on the TOM issue....if you see my ID name, you will no why...lol....maybe you could be pregnant.....hang in there...the zit will go away and you will look beautiful strutting with your new 16 petites!!! Great job!!!

Thank you, it did feel great! Was down a half pound today. Thought it would be more with the whole clothes difference but as I read a half pound is a fist full of fat. They lost my chart or they would have measured me. I would love to know how many inches I have lost. Guess it will wait until Monday. Wish I was a little more patient.

Pregnant?????????? Yikes! If TOM doesn't show up in the next week, I guess I will go get a test. That would be just my luck; job ending, single parent already of teens, oldest just started college to become a chef, and me embarking on a journey to reinvent myself. Luckily I had a tubal after my youngest was born so it is not very likely. I have heard of stranger things happening though.

I agree with everyone else, your food choices will likely be a whole lot better now b/c you've been doing this for so long (lol, ok 11 weeks seems like a long time) and it's become a new "habit" to do so. You'll see. I too think that you should aim to stay at least as close to on plan as you can w/o weighing/measuring food, generally following the main principles and just allow yourself the special things you may want to have as well - a dessert or some bread etc. That way you will feel as though you had a good time without stressing out over the food issue and will have less to stress over when you come home. No matter what, just have a good time!! As far as the protein drinks, I had a cheat day recently and just skipped them, my thought was I didn't need the extra calories but in hindsight I bet drinking them probably would not have been a bad thing - the extra protein could have helped counterbalance the extra carbs. MRC counselor said I should have had one so I think in the future I might do this if faced w/this situation again.

One more thought about planning your cheat, I would highly recommend planning your restart day. I think that the 1st whole day you are back at home should be your day to restart on MRC OP - as if nothing ever happened. That way your habits of eating OP at home will have never changed you know? The off plan was just a "vacation" thing. I hope you make wonderful new memories with your family having a great time!!!
Thanks everyone for all the great advice!! That is what i will do i will stay as close to plan as possible, do the supplements just like normal, then allow myself a small amount of treats when the opportunity presents. I will just try not to get too intense about any of it. I am getting the fat and carb blocker. One thing that is upsetting me right now is that I am on a stupid plateau!!! The one time i REALLY wanted to get to a certain point before a certain time, and i am stalled! I don't know what else to do??? I am eating perfectly, exercising really hard, water out the ying yang.. Any one have any ideas??? i am so happy for everyone that is losing! You guys inspire me SOO much! I am all alone in this here, no center.. You are my only support. I mean my husband is terrific, but he is skinny, so he really has no idea.. You guys hang in there! And Thank you!!

Ok...you are not pregnant!!! Always have to rule that out first. lol I know a change of diet or excercise can effect your TOM. When my daughter ran cross country in HS, she rarely had a period....let me tell you, as a mom...that is very scary knowing your daughter is skipping periods...but after talking to other runner's mom's, then I could relate. whew!!!!

I am proud of you with all that is on your plate and doing a great job with MRC. (no pun intended-on your plate) Your journey to reinvent yourself will be successful....You are a strong woman and can do it. Good luck with finding a job very very soon. Have a beautiful day and weekend.

Thank you everyone for the anniversary wishes!! Marriage is so much better when you marry your best friend. Even when I don't like him very much I still love him. LOL A friend of ours is loaning us their cabin ... it sits on a private/stocked lake... and we'll have shelter from the rain. yippee!

Also ... I had a WI this morning and I'm done 3 POUNDS and 13 INCHES. I'm excited. I absolutely plan on losing 2 more so I can sign the 10 pound board next time I go in!!!

Just wondering what are your favorite HNS? Do you ever serve them over crushed ice like a snow cone?

thank you. what about you? Have you been on the program since january? how are you doing?

I might have to use our snow cone make and the concentrates and I bet they'll be a nice summer treat!! I know of one person on here who said she drinks the concentrates straight out of the package. I couldn't imagine doing that! lol

Hi everyone!
I weighed in yesterday and lost 4 pounds! That hasn't happened since my first week on pre-conditioning. I have lost slow and steady since then, like a pound a week. I have not been following the program 100 % until the 4 days before I weighed in. So.... logic would tell me to stay on program. Of course, like many of us, we are going out of town this weekend. We are staying with family, hopefully it wont be too bad.
Skinny dust to all!

I like orange, peach mango and kiwi melon mixed with either Diet Rite Tangerine or Red Raspberry soda (about 1/2 a can). I like wild berry mixed with the Diet Rite cola (add the fiber along with it and it's really a sweet treat). I only get the concentrates. I don't like getting the lumps out of the powders.

I've never tried the snow cone idea, but I'm sure it's good.
