I'm officially on maintenance now which is both exciting and scary at the same time. It's amazing to think what a difference a year makes--I started MRC Jan 15 2008!

:congrat: Finz: You are truly an inspiration! Congrats on the 100 lbs lost and welcome to maintenance!

Its makes their averages seem higher I guess for advertising purposes...Im guessing. I absolutely count the pre-conditioning days because thats when it was the hardest--to ween myself off of all the bad things!

In the long run, though, it all evens out - those extra few days (or a week) won't affect the long-term average so much when you get to 17 weeks or more.

Congratulations! I meant to tell y'all, I had time to check out the walls at the center Finz & I go to Monday night when I went to the stabilization class. Finz is one of the "spotlighted" members at our center - big poster with her before & after pics & her testimonial printed out. I had a big smile on my face when I recognized it was her! And she looked great in that "after" pic!

I probably just overdosed on the Montreal steak seasoning - which is allowed. Then I didn't get my full amount of my monster water intake and only got 4 hours sleep last night. Luckily I got the manager today. My attitude was - it sucks this happened on wi day, but I'm not worried - I'm doing everything right and it's only temporary. She agreed and liked the attitude. Besides, that will make Saturdays wi awesome! I think where people go wrong is they have a bad wi and then get discouraged and eat something off plan. Slow and steady is winning the race here!

That is awesome - about the attitude, not the wi. I went on Tuesday and wi 1 pound heavier. I think because of the drugs I'm taking for my cold, and one of those dreaded plateaus. But I have lost 13 inches!

Wow-- Finz 100 lb. board story was just what I needed today. I'm getting toward the end of my loss with only a month left on my program. I'm not sure exactly how much I have left to lose- -about 15-20 I would say, but I'm not sure. Anyhow, I'm finding this part the hardest of my whole time on MRC. I'll lose (slower than I was before), and then I'll have some situation where I go off for one meal, and it's like that one meal negates my whole week or two's work.

I'm also working out a lot (five days a week, weights and cardio for about 1.5 hours each time), and I think this is making me hungrier, which is messing with my self-control because I'm just HUNGRY.

Anyway, great job on the 100 lbs.-- really happy for you!

I'm having the same experience! The last 15 or so lbs really come off slowly! Quite frustrating to follow the menu so closely and not lose faster, but I know that's how the game works. I'm also working out a lot and it definitely increases my hunger. Good luck--the end is near!!!

Ok, so I went in for food confession yesterday. I've been sooooo off the wagon for the past 3 weeks and incredibly frustrated with myself. The snow storm was the 'beginning of the end' and I just haven't been able to get back on track for more than a couple of days at a time since then. So I'm doing Metaquick at the moment (started yesterday). I got Tanita'd (I'm fairly certain we have all earned the right to make Tanita a verb as well as a noun!) and am still down 2 pounds from when I first started in the middle of December, but gained 6 pounds back that I had lost. I go back in tomorrow. They want me to come in 3 days a week, and call in on the days that I don't go in until I'm all the way back on track. I really like the Metaquick bars and premade shakes. I find the shakes especially filling, though it is difficult to consume that much liquid every day (2 shakes plus a clear HNS for both breakfast AND lunch, plus all the water...dang!). I'm hoping this is a good kickstart. Also, I just started my period yesterday, and I always gain a couple pounds of water wait, so maybe I'll get a big number next week!

Congratulations for going back in to face the scales and the center. I'm sure you can get back on track now and it's great that your center is being so helpful and providing you some extra accountability right now. It's all in the past now so look forward to the future and continuing the great progress you've had!!

Good for you for not giving up. Maybe you could mix your HNS in with your shake to cut back a little on the liquids a bit? The hardest part for me would be getting in 3 times a week! I'm having issues this time around getting in once a week! And even last time I usually was only a once a week kinda gal.

Good for you for going back in and facing up to it all! That's a huge step. It sounds like your center is really great about forcing the accountability factor ;) Like Meemo suggested, mix one of your HNS in with the shakes to help with the liquid intake. I put the peach mango or orange in with vanilla or one of the berry ones in with the chocolate, for example.
