Clanori - Oh my gosh - me too! I just went through my "skinny" clothes that I had packed away and I'm in 11-12's also! Yay for us!

Here's my NSV for the weekend. My MIL is visiting from out of town - she's a good one though - however... She sent me over the edge on Friday and Saturday. We were out and about on Friday with my step-daughter who is 17. It was dinner time, and we were on our way home. My MIL said that she and my step-daughter decided that they wanted to eat at Chic-Fil-A, instead of eating at home. (And she knows how hard I've been working to lose weight) OK, so that urked me because I was the one driving them around! NOT ONLY THAT, but my MIL was JUST complaining how fat she was and how miserable she was!!! (She probably has 75lbs to lose and she can't walk because she needs her knees replaced)! So, needless to say, I had to go pick up their food for them. I had to sit in that car and smell that damn food. I was just fuming mad, but didn't show it. It used to be one of my fav's too. So I went home and ate my delicious, nutritious meal that I made and had to eat it in my bedroom, because I felt I was going to spout off at how rude it was to make me get it for them. (It was funny too because my DH had no idea what was going on). I felt so great and had a sense of empowerment that I DID NOT give in and make a poor decision. I also felt great that after they were done eating, they were complaining about had bad they felt. I gleefully said "Awe that's too bad, I feel GREAT and my meal was delish"! I guess you could say I was a little bitter. Ok, so that was Friday. Saturday morning, I got up and began cooking all my meals for the week. (It so helps to have all my meal prepared so I can "grab and go"). I had some errands to run - grocery shopping was one of them. My MIL came with me. Grocery shopping was last on the list. I bought fresh fruits, veggies, and lean proteins. When I picked up a bag a spinach she said "Eww gross - spinach?" I told her that fresh spinach was great and healthy. While we were shopping she asked me for some advice on what to buy so she could lose some weight when she goes back home. I told her that eating fresh fruits, veggies, and lean proteins was very important. I finished shopping and she said "I think I want Chik-Fil-A again today". AHHH - she JUST asked me for advice on how to lose weight, and then she wants to eat fast food??? I give up! I'm to the point where I don't want her to ask for advice, and don't complain about how bad you feel and look, because you don't make healthy choices! I have ZERO patience/sympathy for her if she chooses not to do the right thing. Whew that was a rough weekend but I got through it and I am happy that I have willpower!!

And I drank too much Otherwise I did pretty well. Unfortunately, my plan is up at the end of the week so my setback/delay came at a bad time. I'm doing MetaQuick for 3 days and hope to lose 2-3 lbs by the end of the week but we'll see. I think it's also my time of the month and I have some bloat I'm set to go to Stabilization class on Thursday night, but I'd really rather wait another week to start on the stab menu. Do you think the center will give me a hard time since my contract is up on Friday? I'm not going to resign for 5 lbs! I have been a model client (their words) so I don't expect to get too much grief about it, but wondered if anyone else had some experience. They keep reassuring me that I'll lose a few more lbs on stabilization, but I'm still not quite where I want to be and really want to feel good about my final weight before heading into maintenance. Any advice?
You should be fine - you will lose about 6 more pounds on stabilization. If you feel you want one more week at the green menu to get your body back on track before you start stabilization - that makes sense to me. Just explain the situation and see what they say. I completely freaked at the stabilization menu's. I just knew I wouldn't be able to eat that much and not gain, but it really does work, & I really did continue to lose during the time I followed it. I've been losing as regular as clock work since I went back on plan. I'm about 4 lbs from being able to start stabilization again and I can hardly wait!

Meemo and Gina--thanks for your responses. Everyone keeps telling me that I'll lose another 5+ lbs on stabilization, but for some reason I'm having trouble believing it! Probably b/c the last 10+ lbs have come off so slowly on the green menu. I am anxious to head towards maintenance though and very excited about new food additions I go to stab class on Thursday night, and I think I'll plan to start stab the following Monday. That's my plan for the moment anyway

OH--will they take my "after" picture at the stabilization class/party? I need to know how much to primp ahead of time

You might actually lose faster on stabilization because of all your exercise. You might have been teetering in starvation mode with the amount you're doing. And YES, they will take your after picture. Wear something form fitting and heels are always a good look. My center did a full length - wish I hadn't had sandles on, but I'll get a second chance now for an after picture!

You should've picked up a grilled chicken salad for her at Chick-fil-A - and told her that's your advice on how she can eat healthy at a fast-food place! (Actually, I do eat at Chick-Fil-A occasionally but instead of a sandwich & waffle fries I get chicken strips & cole slaw, and a fruit cup if it's lunchtime. It isn't perfect, but it's better than one of those yummy sandwiches that I really do love...) I used to love their chicken caesar salads, too, and was really sad when they dropped them - but that was when I was low-carbing & could have the dressing too.

Anyway, good for you for being stronger than me! And for getting into those 11-12's!

I didn't dress up this time - well, last time I think I wore pants too. This time I wore my "skinny" jeans & a top. Had to look better than that baggy dress I wore for my "before" pic! LOL

Thanks! Haha - good suggestion but, she was in the car with me - We went thought drive thru, so she told me what she wanted. I figured she could make the right choice if she wanted. It was hard to smell that yummy food, but I remained strong as steel.

But it was form fitting - I bet you looked awesome. I had my center e-mail my photo to me.

what is MetaQuick??
I am starting MetaQuick tomorrow. Its something that they recommended to me because my weightloss was slowing down a bit. On Friday I lost 1.5 and then today I lost .5. My avg weightloss before this was around 4lbs a week. I don't know if it has to do with PMS or what?! I have done everything to plan. They gave me a new menu and said I can only do it once a month for a week. You have either a meal replacement bar for breakfast or lunch and a shake for either breakfast or lunch (you can only have one of each kind a day)..so if you have a bar for breakfast you have to have the shake for lunch. I am on the meta quick plus (because I am over 200lbs) so I also have to have 5 HNS a day. B/L/D and 2 snacks. No "real" food until dinner. Dinner menu is pretty much the same as current menu you are doing, except protein choices are very limited. I believe mine says white tuna, turkey or chicken. I am actually excited about starting it because I am so tired of all the veggies at lunch. It takes way too much time to cut them and to eat them! Im also looking forward to the bars and shakes..I heard they are really good.
The downfall is that I was told be 2 mrc gals that I could do just the bars which were included in the 5 boxes for $50 special without buying shakes. I was told by todays gal that I would need the shake, because at my level I can't just do bars (I would get too hungry) and the shakes were $21.50 for 7 packets. Again, another complaint about the expensive of MRC. I am hoping this will kickstart weightloss again. They did tell me that meta quick doesn't work for everyone. I am going to thing positive and I am GOING to lose atleast 3 pounds this week!!

I know, especially when it's a mother-in-law it's hard to say "You know, even a chicken strip salad is better than a sandwich & fries...." Or "Remember how you were just asking me about suggestions for losing weight..."

You gave her a good example, though - sometimes that's all we can do is to serve as a good example (or sometimes a warning - that's one of my things here now, I figure I'm a warning that you CAN gain the weight back if you don't pay attention to your maintenance plan...)

Bonnie - I LOVE the shakes, so worth the $ to me. I mix them in the blender with ice and sometimes make them with a soda. My fav is chocolate shake made with cherry cola diet rite - just dump in the whole can with ice. Another one I created a while ago was a "banana split smoothy". I can't remember the details, but it's on the receipe thread. I used extracts to get the flavor. I haven't had any of the shakes this time around - I bought too many meal replacement bars - don't know what I was thinking. I'll be out of clears long before I run out of creamies.

Bonnie, my center doesn't recommend Metaquick (some don't) so I've never done it. But having read about it a lot here, just wanted to tell you not to discouraged if it doesn't seem like it's working at first - sometimes it doesn't really show any results until you go back to the regular menu, then you have a big drop. It's like it's shaking up your system a bit.
I'm surprised they're suggesting it, actually, since you're still fairly early in the program & losses naturally ebb & flow, and if you're PMSing it's normal to stall a bit. But good luck with it - hopefully it'll work for you!
