I'm officially on maintenance now which is both exciting and scary at the same time. It's amazing to think what a difference a year makes--I started MRC Jan 15 2008!

And she looked great in that "after" pic!
Oh wow! That is SOOOO cool!

The snow storm was the 'beginning of the end' and I just haven't been able to get back on track for more than a couple of days at a time since then. So I'm doing Metaquick at the moment (started yesterday). I got Tanita'd (I'm fairly certain we have all earned the right to make Tanita a verb as well as a noun!) and am still down 2 pounds from when I first started in the middle of December, but gained 6 pounds back that I had lost. I go back in tomorrow. They want me to come in 3 days a week, and call in on the days that I don't go in until I'm all the way back on track. I really like the Metaquick bars and premade shakes. I find the shakes especially filling, though it is difficult to consume that much liquid every day (2 shakes plus a clear HNS for both breakfast AND lunch, plus all the water...dang!). I'm hoping this is a good kickstart. Also, I just started my period yesterday, and I always gain a couple pounds of water wait, so maybe I'll get a big number next week!
I'm right there with you!! Getting off and on the wagon is giving me bruises. Congratulations for getting back on with a new plan of attack. It sounds like you're on your way! Now for the magic ingredient that we all can use

If it's for water retention, you can take an extra B-6.

Almost through Day 4 of MetaQuick. I must admit, it is nice having the convenience of the premade shakes instead of hauling a cooler full of food around with me everywhere. The liquid intake is a bit ridiculous, and I'm only doing 2 clear and 1 creamy HNS every day (I usually do 4). The MetaQuick plan calls for either chicken or tuna for dinner. I have been doing sole rather than tuna and am assuming that is a 'fair trade.' I go back on green plan on Wednesday. I am thinking about switching to the vegetarian plan at some point. Has anyone had good luck with it?

Good job on making it thru day 4! I know when I was taking my food class they said you can't go back and forth between reg. menu or vegetarian plan. You may want to check and see what your center suggests! Good luck on staying focused!

They told me I could do every other month, but I'm thinking I will try it for a month and if I like it better than the meat menu I will just stay on it for the duration of my program. There seem to be yummier options, plus I really love tofu noodles (just like spaghetti!) so that would maybe be worth going veggie for a couple month on its own!

Okay yummy lunch tip from today! I went to Noodles earlier this week and had their cucumber tomato salad and recreated it at home today. Cucumbers cut up, tomatoes, use a little red wine vinegar and some olive oil. Then I put a little Mrs. Dash tomato basil garlic seasoning. Although I'm going to look for some type of asian one today at the store. I then added some grilled chicken to it! YUMMMY!!

Hi everyone--just stopping in to confess and get some extra motivation. Hubby and I went to Memphis this weekend and I veered off plan a bit. Honestly, I made really good choices overall, but I know that my seabass Friday night was cooked in a bunch of sugar/salt/oil/butter/etc. and I ate a few too many bites of the mushroom risotto. YUM. And I drank too much Otherwise I did pretty well. Unfortunately, my plan is up at the end of the week so my setback/delay came at a bad time. I'm doing MetaQuick for 3 days and hope to lose 2-3 lbs by the end of the week but we'll see. I think it's also my time of the month and I have some bloat I'm set to go to Stabilization class on Thursday night, but I'd really rather wait another week to start on the stab menu. Do you think the center will give me a hard time since my contract is up on Friday? I'm not going to resign for 5 lbs! I have been a model client (their words) so I don't expect to get too much grief about it, but wondered if anyone else had some experience. They keep reassuring me that I'll lose a few more lbs on stabilization, but I'm still not quite where I want to be and really want to feel good about my final weight before heading into maintenance. Any advice?

If you're 5 lbs from goal, you're fine. People lose 5-7 lbs during stabilization normally, so that shouldn't be a problem at all, especially if you stick with the stabilization menu very strictly. Congrats!
