One thing I found last year that really helped with my lips is vitamin E oil, I'd actually pierce a capsule & use it on my lips. You could probably do the same thing with flax oil (no sure what that would taste like). Make sure you're drinking all your water & taking your flax-seed oil. Aside from that, if you're flaky use a good exfoliator (something like Clinique's 7-day scrub cream). And a good moisturizer. I use Eucerin cream on my uber-dry legs - it's greasy so I only use it at night every few days. In between, Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E cream is absolutely the best moisturizing cream I've ever used, it's cheap, comes in a jar, it's wonderful stuff (you can find it at Target, WalMart, K-Mart, etc). Everyone I've ever recommended it to who tried it ended up loving it - I even gave it as Christmas gifts one year, I liked it that much!

My trip was great. We took 211 WWII veterans on an Honor Flight to see the WWII memorial. I was so busy that I didn't think about eating, making it easy to make good choices when I did. Those MRC bars were a godsend, especially on the airplane (2 hours late taking off, then a huge club sandwich with ham and cheese for lunch on it and the same on the return flight). When I went to WI last Friday, I stayed the same. So the stabilization is working, but I still have 2 lbs I'd like to lose. Next week we leave for Hawaii, so that is going to be harder but it is the week I can add back in some fats, so macadamia nuts -- HERE I COME!.

I changed out my avatar to show my 4 G-kids (hence my Gma to 4 screen name). And it shows me on the slide that I can easily fit my formerly large bottom on.

Keep up with all those successes.

I ate a bar almost daily for lunch and I didn't measure my water intake, but I tried to drink as much as I could every day.
Hey! Did you go to the haunted hotel????

NO! They were full by the time our friends called them to make reservations. So we stayed at Carr Manor instead which is a really cool B&B in an old gold rush era school house. Our room even had an old blackboard on the wall. It's an absolutely beautiful renovation & was a great place to stay.
One of the breakfast items there was a homemade cinnamon bun and that's when my will power broke down! But it was worth it because it was delicious
My husband's a train nut and we did get to ride on the old railway there in Cripple Creek. We were only there the one night and then we headed up to Aspen and our friends went back to Colorado Springs.
It was a really fun vacation--the weather was just perfect!

Where in NW Arkansas are you? Do you go to the Fayetteville or the Bentonville center?

Hi WorkingARMom - I go to the Fayetteville center... I've only been there 2 times and everyone seems nice. I go Friday for my food class.... Which one do you attend?

Question Two meal plan

I've seen this in the cookbook. Can anyone tell me what this is and who uses it?

I'm having a hard time finding La Tortilla or another low cal brand of tortillas. The best I could do at Walmart was 85 calories. Any tips on where I can find something with less cals? Thanks!

If you don't get an answer here - be sure to ask at your center - they usually know where to find the good stuff!

Did you look at the premium breads in front of the deli counter? I've found La Tortilla factory tortillas there at a couple of different Wal-Marts, but they don't seem to be stocked with the other tortillas.

I will look there! Thanks for the tip. Meemo, I will definitely check w/ my center if I still can't find it. Thanks!

Another question: I want to make a cottage cheese smoothie tomorrow for lunch. I was thinking of adding either strawberries or blueberries, and was wondering if I should also add a HNS. I don't want to make anything too nasty as my frugality will force me to drink it anyway I'm going to browse through the recipes but if anyone has a quick suggestion I'd love to hear it.

I add the strawberry/banana gelatin along with strawberries, cottage cheese & water to mine. I put it in at the last minute so it doesn't have time to set at all. I like it
You could maybe try the wildberry or mixed berry, too.

Not all centers offer it--mine used to when I did the plan 6 years ago but apparently doesn't offer it as an option any more. Don't know why.

I thought it was add your fruit to breakfast, then just have protein and veg for lunch and just veg. for dinner. Does this sound right?
