Our center does not have a Stabilization class. Since I have been going for the past 3 months, they have had only 2 classes, both cooking instruction classes.

I asked them about Stab, and they just said they give me a new sheet with foods to add in each week, and that was it.

Okay...I purchased the Fat/Carb Blocker today. I bought them for "emergency use only". To those of you that have used them how well do they work in your honest opinion?

Okay with those I use them when I go out to eat and know that some of the items that I may eat are off program or more calories than I really want to eat. I truly try to stick as close as I can. I have still lost everytime I weigh in. So I guess they must do something!

Good luck.

Congrats on the loss and for being so close to that 30lb board. It will be yours to sign next time! I bet your doctor is going to be amazed when he sees you in 6 months.

JSTUCKLY
We'll be starting stabilization around the same time :D

Congratulations Finz! I'm so happy for you!

I went to WI this morning and was down another pound. Not enough for the 30 pound board. I should be able to get there next week.

This week I am getting rid of the last of the off plan food that is in my freezer. It will feel great to have it all gone. My sister is going to take it. I haven't seen her since I started the program so it will be interesting to see if she notices a difference.

Congrats to everyone on their recent successes.

Isn't that great??? Congratulations to you and when you see him in 6 months, you will have lost another 50lbs.... you've got it! No problem!!!

40 lb board

I am so excited I weighed in and have finally hit the 40lbs board. I have exactly 10 lbs left to go and hope to lose that by the end of the month. Whoo Hooo, Whooo HOooo, Whooo Hoooo!!!!

Blue eyed angel---I know what you mean about getting comfortable where you are at because people start to notice. I went off program this past weekend and realized that it can be hard to lose the last 10-15lbs because you allow yourself to go off program. I called the center to help me get on track and the girl told me that the last 10-15 lbs wants to melt off just as quick as the rest has, but with the slip ups I am preventing it from happening. I truly do believe that!

To everyone: We are worth it and we will do it!!!!

THELISH:[B] My commute is about 35-40 minutes depending on traffic. I, too, make myself drink at least 24 oz of water in the car in the am and pm. If I drink one of those at work - I've done all the water for the day. I also make a cup of hot tea, decaf, now that it's getting a tiny bit cooler. Drinking something warm seems to help and calm my cravings. I love Constant Comment original flavor tea...which I just found comes in decaf. With some equal it's great - if you like hot tea. Also, I got my soy chocolate mine crisps from DietDirect...my center doesn't have them. I do love those...they are oddly satisfying and I'm not even a big chocolate lover. Another thing I do is I talk on the phone! I catch up with friends I normally don't get to talk to as often...talking keeps me from thinking about snacking. I get to catch up with friends - and not fall off plan! Just a thought.

Congrats to all of you who've had great losses...I also got to wear a pair of pants to work today that I haven't worn in about a year. However - I totally understand the feeling that when you start seeing the difference and people start noticing, you get a little cocky/overconfident. It's easy to swing in the other direction and I'm fighting this myself just now. UGH. I know what I need to do and that I'll be even happier when I get to my goal...still, it's hard. I just try to remember that by not taking it seriously, well - that's how I gained the weight. This board is a HUGE help to me.

I'm finding it really hard to be as motivated as I was in the beginning. I knew coming back here and being accountable to all of you would surely help me stay on track better. I've just gotten too comfortable I think once people started noticing the changes, I was too content... (which makes no sense - I SHOULD wanna try harder! What's wrong with me?)

So, here I am! I need you all! Help me help myself get skinny!!

Welcome back Crystal!

I made it to stabilization! Just week1. I am wearing a size 8 or 10 and I was starting to get so many complements. And then we had to put our dog to sleep this week and my 11 year old has been a basket case! So I have been emotional eating all week I think I have gained 6 pounds this week. I just cannot seem to get it under control. I need to get serious. So I am right there with you Crystal.

That is lame. My center has a party. They take your after pictures. So everyone is dressed up. They made mock champagne and gave us goodie bags. They made a poster of the total weight loss of all the people stabilizing that month. They make it a big deal. Too bad I am struggling!

Wow! We've had some great losses this week, and I'm excited to see Bonnie & Thelish are back! And congrats on starting stabilization, WorkingARMom. I'm so sorry about your dog--that would definitely trigger stress eating for me.

Just a quick update before I head to the snakepit, err...school. This has been a bizarre, maddening, insane, hilarious week. For starters, midterms are this week, which always makes for a tough week without any crazy outside influences. My boss, however, who has been growing increasingly unstable over the summer, flew off the deep end on Monday and just began randomly attacking all of the graduate students in the office. But rather than retreat to her office and lick her wounds after being confronted by the big boss, she just kept digging the hole deeper & deeper! I could barely function on Tuesday because there was so much adrenaline flowing through my veins, but everyone has been tip-toeing around all week. Her tirade lasted through Wednesday, and yesterday she swung into a passive-aggressive state.

I made a very good choice Tuesday, though--I really wanted to go to Chili's and have one of those blue margaritas that are so big you can do a backstroke in them, but I CHOSE to eat the MRC turkey lasagna and go to yoga. (Week 5 of yoga, btw, was GREAT. I am really getting a lot of benefit out of this!) Anyway, the point to this is that I have not had this difficult of a week since my first semester of grad school, but I have managed to stay on plan this week and actually have lost 2 lbs. I can only attribute this to having the lasagna already divided up into individual servings and waiting in my fridge.

Just a quick pop in. Just got back from wi . . . . . I lost 4 lbs since Monday (on week 3 of stabilization!) and I GOT TO SIGN THE 100LB BOARD!!! :woohoo: :carrot::carrot: I'm officially at 101.5 lbs lost. It was awesome. The lobby was super crowded today & our 100 lb board is out of the hall & in the classroom. They had just started a new food instruction class, so I got to sign in front of about 10 new people. I hope that will give them the motivation during the rough patches. Not everyone knows about our amazing support group! Thanks group  I couldn't have done it without all the support from this forum!!!
