I was down 1.5 lbs! I hope it continues this way...

And I am eating cottage cheese for lunch for the first time in my life. It used to be so nasty :P

I promised my BF that we would go out to dinner (a "real one" as he calls it) and watch football at the local sports bar if I got the 10 pounds. I have been so anti social because I am afraid I will slip. Well, tomorrow, I am letting myself slip a bit! (If I get to 173!)

Good luck on the weigh in. You've been doing great and it will feel AWESOME to sign the 10 pound board!

Meemo - That was a really interesting article. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, you'll be fine! Everyone is clearing out today.... the city is already pretty much back to normal. You're going to have a great time!!!!

I am now more worried about hurricane evacuations here and getting through the traffic, gas lines & such. Heading to Memphis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Denver and the Salt Lake City. The worst of the storm should be over by then, but depending upon how it goes, folks may be heading home or hotels may be swamped? I have a place to stay in Memphis (family), so hopefully I'll be ok with hotels farther than that. I suppose I should start thinking about making some hotel reservations (that I could cancel if needed) along the way just in case.

YIPPEE:carrot:

I've started eating the Breakstone Active 2% cottage cheese. I seem to like the texture much better. I LOVE my cottage cheese. Have you tried mixing it with a clear drink? Very yummy!

I did it! I was down 4 from Monday (TOM passed) so I am down a total of 10.5!! Woo hoo! I am so relieved. It is amazing what a little number will do for your mood!
I know I shouldn't, but I have to reward myself tomorrow eve. I think 6 weeks of not eating anything I really wanted warrants a little splurge. It will not be the splurge I would have had 6 weeks ago, but it will make me happy!

Happy weekend to everyone and have a great time!

This has just been an amazing program for me. If every MRC needs a testimonial, all they have to do is call me. I began on July 15 and am averaging 1.8 lbs per day. Had a stagnate week last week, but increased my water and whoola! Get that water in folks! Hope everyone has a great (and temptation free) holiday weekend. ;D

Quick question...I'm a wine lover...and I wonder if and when I will get to have it again. (I'm assuming 1st food class tomorrow will eliminate this kind of thing.) AND, is red better than white or are they equally bad, etc.

Anyone have any tips. I can do anything for these weeks ahead - that's not it, but I really enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings at times. Thanks again...

Tomorrow will be the day I get to go to the green menu. I have made it through the first 10 days! It was questionable considering it is TOM and work sucks, so I am proud. It is hard to tell since I don't go into the center to weigh, but I am pretty sure I have lost 5 pounds. Energy is low, but I have faith that it will come back as soon as my body adjusts to this new way of eating. Only 45 more pounds to go....lol

I just did my food class 1 week ago today...and they clearly said that there was no alcohol that was on plan. Bummer since I like a glass of wine in the evenings too.:)

Congrats to everyone on the losses today!!

Shenanigan - 10 lb board - WOO HOO!

It was WI day for me too - I was down another 1 (that's 2.5 this week) for a total of 6 since I started. I'm only on day 6 (blue menu) so that's not too bad.

At WI today they said "You're down six lbs since you started!" and I said "I'll take it" and one of the girls said "No, you're leaving it!" LOL - that's so true - I'm leaving that weight behind! :)

And - a NSV of sorts - last night I made my kids mac & cheese for dinner. It looked so yummy and smelled really good too. (Mac & cheese is one of my all time favorites!) I stayed on plan - didn't even taste a noodle to see if they were done! And, Friday night is pizza night at my house. The pizza looked yummy, but I ate my chicken and squash....not even a bite of pizza!

This weekend we're traveling to the in-laws house. I'm packing lots of OP food to take with me, and hoping for the best! :)

The NSV is even more impressive than the weight loss. You are a rock! I would not have been able to resist the mac & chz....no way! You are going to cruise through the weekend if you can resist that heavenly fare.

So did anyone else feel really exhausted days 6-10ish? I am perplexed by this. I have a very physical job and I swear I can barely walk back to my truck after a few hours. I am not used to being so weak and listless. Any tips about this would be appreciated.
