Hi Denise!
There isn't any here at school. Plus I really dislike hot tea. Reminds me of being sick. I have the same issue with anything cherry flavored because that was the flavor of every medicine when I was a kid. My options are to freeze to death (ok, I am being a little melodramatic) or suffer I guess. I need to start bringing some decaf coffee to work with me.

Thank you so much! I had no idea that would work :)

Hi!!!!

Understood....

What kind of HNS do you have? I have heated up mine before when I was cold (the orange was good, and I did it with others but can't remember which) and it worked well. Also, you can do that with the fiber drink too.

That's a good idea. I have a grape with me. I will start just bringing those with me! Never thought about heating them before. You are a wealth of information! I am still trying to get this 1.5 off that I gained over the weekend. It will probably take me 3 weeks to get that dang gain off! I do have to say, it was worth it!

Sounds like 1.5 is a popular number today. I was down that at WI too. I know I didn't get enough water yesterday so trying to get that going again for the next WI.

Congrats on the loss!!:D

Hi all!

Signed the 40 lb board before leaving town for the weekend. Tried hard to stay OP but did have a couple of slip ups, so chugged the water down all day yesterday and hit the treadmill hard this morning. Today's WI was down .5 lb, so was able to take advantage of the two free weeks for WI on Friday and again today. Officially start stabilization tomorrow.

Congrats on signing another board and on starting stab tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you!

I weighed in tonight, and lost 4lbs so I got the 2 weeks added on also; I also got to sign the 130lb board! I'm so excited!!!!

**YEA** Denise!! I'm so jealous of those free weeks you guys get. Wish our center offered those.

Well Ive been doing MRC since Aug 24th and my weigh in on the 29th said i lost 4.5 pounds. I'm excited because I can feel the difference in my clothes a little bit. Im just worried I will tweak things or fall out of dedication. But right now i'm pretty tight about it. i just cant wait for the meal replacements b/c I'm on the run a LOT!! My next weigh in is in the morning my scale says 4 more but we will see what the scale thingy says :carrot:

That's a fantastic start!! It's so great when you can really start actually feeling the difference isn't it?

Another question. I know we have beat the horse on this topic, but I really need to start looking for a more affordable way to get the supplements. I take:
MRC-6
CortiTrim
Total Woman
Flax (finally bought some on my own)
Multi Vit (bought some on my own)

Any ideas of how to get the MRC-6 and Total Woman cheaper? I don't even know what those two are supposed to do for me!

Total Woman is flax + primrose oil. I just buy primrose oil caps and take 1 of those with the flax. Much cheaper way of doing it. Meemo has a MRC-6 substitute so hopefully she will chime in. I don't take it or the cortitrim so no advice on those :)

SchoonCR Glad to see you back! We all sure were lucky with Gustav here in the panhandle.

I got really cold at work last year, and tried it..... I couldn't imagine drinking something cold, on top of being frozen already..... It worked out alright. Don't hold me to the "wealth of information" piece; you just caught me on a good day! ;)

Look at your total woman - I think it's just flax with some primrose oil (I think??) added. You can take an extra flax and pick up some primrose oil cheap.

I got subs for MRC6 and CortiTrim on iherb.com.

I need some advice. I am freezing at work. The temps here in KC dropped from high 80's yesterday to 63 and rainy today. The air is cranked here for some reason. We do not get to control our thermostats. Go figure. ANyway, I am dying for a cup of coffee to warm me up (don't even mention hot tea or hot water-yuk!!!). Would I do worse damage drinking one cup of caffeine or by drinking my second creamy today? (I had 1/2 with breakfast and will have another 1/2 with lunch recipes). My fingernails are purple it is so cold. Plus, there is nothing like a bunch of cold, b*tchy teenagers to make my day even more pleasurable. Of course, they have on daisy dukes, tank tops and flip flops.

Too late now but I'd go with the caffeine.

Too much B-6 can dehydrate you (it's a natural diuretic) - so you definitely don't want to overdo it.

also found this (on this site http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/vitaminb6.asp ):

What is the health risk of too much vitamin B6?
Too much vitamin B6 can result in nerve damage to the arms and legs. This neuropathy is usually related to high intake of vitamin B6 from supplements, [28] and is reversible when supplementation is stopped. According to the Institute of Medicine, "Several reports show sensory neuropathy at doses lower than 500 mg per day" [12]. As previously mentioned, the Food and Nutrition Board of the Institute of Medicine has established an upper tolerable intake level (UL) for vitamin B6 of 100 mg per day for all adults [12]. "As intake increases above the UL, the risk of adverse effects increases [12]."

Thanks Meemo! Do I even need Primrose Oil? I looked it up and it doesn't seem detrimental to my weight loss.

I didn't so either one. I froze all day, but that was my thought, too.

It's less about weight loss than helping with PMS, etc. It's a female hormonal thing. I took it for awhile, then just went to an extra plain flax capsule. Didn't notice much difference myself, but it's a YMMV thing (Your Mileage May Vary).

Thanks again! I definitely will replace the MRC-6 and Corti-Trim with your suggestions. They are certainly cheaper. ;)

I'm enjoying the Strawberry Banana jello in the evening for a snack.

How about mixing up an HNS & freezing it? You could mix it up with a lot less water (probably a concentrate would work better for this) - enough to fit into some of those popsicle forms, or just a paper cup with a popsicle stick in it. I haven't tried it so can't say it WILL work, but it might??

OR, get some of the gelatin HNS & have that at night. You can also use an envelope of Knox gelatin with an HNS - that makes a nice big pile of jello ;>)

Another great tip - I had no idea that I could mix unflavored gelatin with an HNS and make jello....now I have lots of yummy flavors to try!

Meemo - you've always got great information to share!!!
