I still haven't tried the multi-quoting thing myself, which I really should do instead of the multiples posts I make...

Of course, some forums keep track of who posts the most each month. I don't know that being the posting queen would say about our 'life'! I've been pretty darn close to tops on a few I frequent.

Thanks Stuckly, likewise as well, you look great - keep it up.... I'm like you I have to take pics and see them side by side in order to really SEE the difference, even if I need new clothes and see the numbers where the inches are disappearing it is a pick me up when I anticpate the next photo. I was born and raised in the "Show Me" state so I guess it stuck. Those jeans in my pic I can hold out several inches and crotch is just sagging if I don't pull them up to my chest, they look ridculously large on me.

So I had a strange comment this week, my co-worker told me that I seem much shorter since I have lost weight. Which is odd because when I went shopping I had to purchase a pair of petites and the average length (which I have always purchased even when I was thin) seem long even in heels. I don't get it. I guess the expansion kept my pants shorter :?:

It took me a couple of years to actually 'see' myself in the mirror as I truly am. Very odd indeed. When I was big, I always saw a skinny person looking at me, and as I lost the weight, the person in the mirror became bigger & bigger. I think I finally do see the true me (I hope, anyway.) I can actually see tiny, daily changes in the way I look.

Seems odd that you would look shorter? I'd think skinnier legs would make you look taller. I can certainly touch the ground easier on my motorcycle than I use to :)

All of you skinny people with your new pics has inspired me! So I followed JSTUCKLY and took a pic of myself. Hopefully, now I will be able to see the difference! One question: How do you get a date on there? I have tried everything!

When you break it down to a serving size for MRC, the olive oil wouldn't be much. I might pick up some garbanzo beans next time I'm buying groceries (which will be tomorrow, feeling the need to stock up & be hurricane ready, best way I know to be sure it goes somewhere else...)

Thanks Meemo - that recipe sounds very near how we make it just minus the tahini so I'm all over that. I posted it on the recipe thread so as not to lose it.

Pbolton
- Well I could only hope to look taller, 5'3" already keeps me too close to the ground. Maybe it was my outfit, best I look for things that make me look taller.

My center called me today, they are offering me a free week if I come in before the end of this week. I have only been going once a week the last two weeks. I'm not sure why, I think that I find it more motivating to go once a week (Friday) and see the dang scale move down more then if I go twice a week and watch it bounce all week.

Who ever advised on how to multi quote, Thank You..... I always wondered how you all did that.

Shannon - if you place all your pics in the same powerpoint slide then place your text in there where you want it, select all and post into a photo program like photo manager and save it as one photo. If you would like some assistance I will be more then happy to do it, you'd have to send me your photo's and tell me what text you want.

I think I did it! Thanks! I just played around a bit more. I may need your help when I try to place them side-by side!

Silverbelle - Welcome!

Theycallmemom
- You look fantastic!

JStuckly-You look great! You looked great before, but I can really tell a difference between your latest photo and your previous one. And I'm impressed by your ingenuity in self-portraits!

SilverBelle-Welcome to the board! Like Finz, I haven't noticed any difference between this time and the last time. I'm not sure if I'm losing at the same rate or not, but I think I've had a lot more support this time, and that might be because I've been willing to accept it this time. This board also rocks!

Theycallmemom-Love the updated picture! You are doing great!

I didn't think it was all that bad. It's only a 1 oz jigger, I think, and if it's cold, it's just one more thing to add to the routine. I do feel strongly, though, about chewable Caltrate, which I accidentally purchased. Ugh!

This is interesting. When I'm at the tight end of a size, my pants are shorter, and when I get to the loose end of a size, the exact same pair of pants get longer. I can't figure out, though, how that would make you look shorter.

I'm with Dixie on this--THANK YOU for posting this! And Dixie, thanks for the tahini explanation! And please don't send the hurricane west.

I did mine in photoshop. I really need a new 'after' though. With all the exercising I do, I am quite curvier now (which I really like). Yeah, about 10 lbs. heavier, which I really don't mind so much, but I just want my darned favorite jeans to fit!

pbolton1 08-27-2008 07:18 PM

SILVERBELLE--Welcome. I am in NW FL as well--Destin. I did my first MRC way back in '89. Same company, same exact program & supplements, different name though. I lost way faster then, 14 lbs. the first week, but I was also WAY younger! Right now I'm stuck at a spot where I always get stuck. The last time, it took me nearly 3 months to get out of the plateau. I was totally OP, center was frustrated, so was I. I think my body is telling me something but I refuse to listen.

DKRiley 08-27-2008 07:30 PM

Well thanks all for the feedback on the "shorter" comment that I received. All I can say is just as there are people who make us feel great about our achievements there are also those who make us feel self conscious about other things. I would dare say considering who it came from that it was probably meant to make me feel that way. This is the same guy who felt compelled to sit and tell me I had all the precursors for gallbladder disease once I started losing - 1 year after I had my gallbladder removed. His words "over 40 and fat" Sometimes it's very challenging to be nice in the work place.

Wow am I glad for this board today!!

For the couple of people who posted about fatigue, nausea, etc. - I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I've been dragging all day, and this morning the thought of HNS and daily meal plan almost made me gag! Guess by Day 4 my body has figured out that I'm serious about the change. :) I stuck with it today - I'm determined to make this plan work for me.

SchoonCR - thanks for your reply to the fatigue post. It's helpful to understand what is going on - and to know that it's an expected part of this. (and that it's temporary!)

I'm hanging on by a thread right now....EVERYTHING in the pantry looks delicious! Luckily it'll be bedtime soon and tomorrow is a new day. Looking at all of your pics and seeing how successful this can be is inspiring.

Thanks to all of you!!

Hi everyone, I love reading all your posts. Is is so motivating to see and hear that everyone is doing so well. The support you all give each other is amazing, I love it. I weighed in at 162.5 on Tuesday night. I have lost 29 lbs. I will be weighing in again Sat. morning. I am hoping to be 159 so I can say goodbye to the 160's and sign the 30lb board.

Or, your coworker is just weird, or jealous. :D

About the MSM (sorry, I was thinking in the context of weight loss supplements, our center doesn't even list that as available there)... MSM/glucosamine/chondroitin, from what I have read and my chiropractor tells me, all do real well at working on preventing further damage to, and protecting the joints.

Is MRC selling it for another reason?

Rocky49 08-27-2008 11:32 PM

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all have had a great day. I love reading all of the posts and am still getting the hang of posting. Shine On should be back online tomorrow. I miss her. I am having some trouble getting all of my water in since I am back at work. I have a long drive to work, so I try to drink at least 24 oz before I get to work... I had trouble sticking to the plan tonight, but will do the U-turn in the am... I keep looking at myself and saying, "I CAN do this..."

Silverbelle... Welcome aboard. I just started MRC at the end of July. Prior to joining I lost about 20+ lbs, I have lost about 11 now since being on the program. I am looking to all of you for support and hopefully, when I get "grounded" in this program better I can be of support to all of you as well.
