At my center they suggest freezing a packet of concentrate. I haven't tried it. I think they did mention that it doesn't freeze completely, but will be more like taffy.

Wow! Congrats on all the losses and milestones. Y'all Rock!
Day 2 starts with a headache...ugh...off to start drinking water. :dizzy:

I was down 0.5 yesterday. The counselor looked at my chart and thinks I am starting a plateau. I am going to up the water and exercise to try to fight my way out of it.

One good thing is that she told me they had calculated my hydration level wrong initially and I am NOT 5% dehydrated. They were alarmed, because I had gone from 47% (calculated incorrectly) to 35%. Whew...at least I don't have to do the 160 oz. of water they recommended. I am trying to increase, but WOW...that was A LOT!

Hi all!

Signed the 40 lb board before leaving town for the weekend. Tried hard to stay OP but did have a couple of slip ups, so chugged the water down all day yesterday and hit the treadmill hard this morning. Today's WI was down .5 lb, so was able to take advantage of the two free weeks for WI on Friday and again today. Officially start stabilization tomorrow.

I read so many posts trying to catch up, but did want to congratulate all the losers and welcome anyone new.

Shannon, were you the one that asked about the french toast? It is one of my favorite breakfasts. I add a half teaspoon of vanilla and some cinnamon to the beaten eggs, then use 2 tsp. of the fake syrup (made from 4 Tbsp Splenda, 1/4 c. water, 1 tsp maple extract, bring to a boil then simmer 5 min.). I keep mine in the frig in a small round container with a lid, so can pull it out quickly. My problem is getting in both eggs with only one piece of bread. I usually pour a bunch of the egg on top of the bread once it is in the pan. Hope this helps.

Congratulations on starting stabilization!!

Good Morning!

Today is day 2 for me, I have a bit of a headache and had one yesterday afternoon.
I had a great breakfast so that helps :)

Congrats to all of the "Losers" LOL! You're all doing great!

Thanks Gma. I just followed the recipe by the book. I think the vanilla would definitely help. It is a lot of egg, though!

I don't remember the french toast recipe but I get the concept - what if you only used one of the eggs, and fried or scrambled the other one - have french toast with an egg on the side? Or of course you could have some cheese instead of the 2nd egg.

How about mixing up an HNS & freezing it? You could mix it up with a lot less water (probably a concentrate would work better for this) - enough to fit into some of those popsicle forms, or just a paper cup with a popsicle stick in it. I haven't tried it so can't say it WILL work, but it might??

OR, get some of the gelatin HNS & have that at night. You can also use an envelope of Knox gelatin with an HNS - that makes a nice big pile of jello ;>)

Sassy, take B6 for your headaches...B6 is water-soluble so you can't "OD" on it, take as many as you need to get rid of the headache (within reason, of course).

Rocky49, I have been having a small glass of Diet Rite after supper to get rid of my sweet cravings at night. Also, if you get 1 slice of bread at dinner, make cinnamon toast with splenda, that works too.

I need some advice. I am freezing at work. The temps here in KC dropped from high 80's yesterday to 63 and rainy today. The air is cranked here for some reason. We do not get to control our thermostats. Go figure. ANyway, I am dying for a cup of coffee to warm me up (don't even mention hot tea or hot water-yuk!!!). Would I do worse damage drinking one cup of caffeine or by drinking my second creamy today? (I had 1/2 with breakfast and will have another 1/2 with lunch recipes). My fingernails are purple it is so cold. Plus, there is nothing like a bunch of cold, b*tchy teenagers to make my day even more pleasurable. Of course, they have on daisy dukes, tank tops and flip flops.

Another question. I know we have beat the horse on this topic, but I really need to start looking for a more affordable way to get the supplements. I take:
MRC-6
CortiTrim
Total Woman
Flax (finally bought some on my own)
Multi Vit (bought some on my own)

Any ideas of how to get the MRC-6 and Total Woman cheaper? I don't even know what those two are supposed to do for me!

Can you have some decaf herbal tea?

You probably are starting a plateau.... just don't let the slow down discourage you. You'll be back again in no time, just stick with it.
