Just came back from a dog walk and laid out some meat for dinner. I am trying to get back on track! Actually, I do like a cocktail every now and then.Just need to remember not to drink the amount I drank Saturday night, UGH!

Has anyone made Shine On's Chocolate Cheesecake?
I don't know how many slices to yield out of the recipe. I know she said 2 was the breakfast portion. I am wanting to make this tomorrow evening so I will have it for breakfast the rest of the week.

I still can't believe my eyes. I think I was a size 9 . . . . when I was 14. I don't ever remember being this size!!

Not sure I will be able to check in anymore before my early morning flight, so I wish you all luck in the NSV's and the scale WI's this week. I'll be tooling through the mountains and trying my best to eat healthy on the road.

Wow! that is awesome! Congrats!

No, then we went out for cocktails and I hadn't had one in 6 weeks, so...you know. Then I ordered pizza today for lunch-and ate a lot of it. Then I went for ice cream tonight. Holy smokes, I need a serious U turn. Since I am a teacher, I decided to ask myself what I learned from this little excursion. Here is how the conversation went:
Me: Shannon, what have you learned from this derailment?
Shannon: Well, I learned several things.
Me: Ooh! That's good! What things did you learn?
Shannon: First, I learned that I am definitely not ready to go out to the bar for a long period of time. I caved after about an hour. Then there was no turning back. Second, I learned that my belly hurts when I eat like cr*p. Third, I learned that i get totally dehydrated and even if I drink a gallon of water (I drank more than that today!), I can't get rid of everything in one day of drinking water.

So, I think I will take the u-turn advice and start fresh tomorrow. I am sure I didn't gain 6 pounds of FAT in 48 hours. maybe a few, though. Sigh.

I would say LOL, but - I totally understand. I haven't fallen off yet, but then again I'm only a few days in...and have felt the urges that I know will only get stronger. SOOO...I am going to try and learn, in advance, from your conversation with yourself...and remember it in the future! I hope you are back on track...don't get down on yourself, you've come so far - and this is just a bump in the road - nothing to fret over too much!

shenanigan, I've made the choc. cheesecake, but I think the plain is sooooo much better. It makes 4 servings. Just cut the pie pan into four BIG slices :)

I've not made it yet, I'm still fairly new and just got my cookbook (YAHOO) and I love the receipe board. Can't find this one though. Sounds really yummy... must be in an old post somewhere?? I'll check it out.

woo! You girls stay busy postin! I love it! I have a feeling y'all will really be a great, great help to me. It seems that everyone is so supportive of each other.

Stuckingradschool: Thanks for the reply and the tips! I see you are doing schoolwork as well...I just started back to work on my master's in nursing so that I can get my Nurse Practitioner...it's not easy studying with a 14 month old. I'm from TX too!

Shannon: Glad to see that you picked yourself back up and are OP again. I see by your ticker that you are already 11 lbs down!! That is awesome! Keep it up!!

SeekingSvelt: I guess I'll have to keep looking for a smaller pic...all of mine are waaaay bigger than that...Since you are a newbie too..what do you think of the program so far? What's been hardest for you? Is it working?! :D Do you like to play 20 questions?

Okay! tomorrow is my big day! I've done "okay" on preconditioning. I did drink all my water, take my supplements and cut way back on Cokes(my weakness) I cut back on my normal amounts of junk food but did eat pizza this weekend with a couple bites of cake (birthday party) and Taco Bueno today to get it out of my system before I start in the morning!!!! Wish me luck! I'll check in tomorrow! :dizzy:

Oh, dear! Taco Bueno does make life difficult, doesn't it? I grew up with them, but thankfully we don't have 'em here. Do you have a Rosa's? I get my mexican fix with the chicken fiesta salad , hold the sour cream & guacamole, and top with their medio salsa. I've been eating this 1-2 times a week all summer, and it has not slowed my weight loss down. You have to be careful, though, because some servers REALLY want to give you the chicken fajita salad, and it isn't on plan. Sometimes if I'm feeling really hungry, I'll ask for a second portion of chicken. (Also, if you show your student ID, it's 10% off, but I don't think they advertise that!)

Also sodas...you shouldn't have regular or diet sodas, but if you absolutely MUST, Coke Zero is the least bad of the bunch because it has no sugar and much less sodium than a diet soda. However, HEB carries Diet Hansen's sodas, and I really like the peach, strawberry kiwi, and black cherry. They don't have any sugar, sodium or caffeine, and you still get the pizzazz of flavored carbonated water. I also like the Sam's Choice flavored waters at Wal-Mart, though occasionally I'll get one that's flat. Not so crazy about that.

That said, great job on pre-conditioning! You'll do great with the menus!

Question about MRC timetable/contract...

Hi all -

I see lots of talk about them "voiding" our contracts...what exactly does that mean? If they void the "guarantee" - what does that mean. I am sure I didn't get all this when Nikkie at my center went through it. It's a lot to absorb and I knew I wanted to do it - so I just said let's get on with it! :carrot:

So - any input on what the "voiding" of a contract means and a brief "for dummies" overview of how that works...I am supposed to be On Plan for 5 weeks (which I can NOT believe is right...but ok, it would be great) then stabilizing for 6 and then maintenance etc.

What if I'm not there at week 5? Am I out of luck - and kicked out of MRC or what? :?:

I have several acquaintances who have been successful - but I am not friendly enough with them to feel comfortable asking. Thank goodness for
3FC!

Sounds like everyone had a good weekend.

Shenanigan - the story about your reward day made me laugh. :) Sounds like you're already back on track - way to go!

We traveled to MIL house this weekend and I managed to stay OP the whole time! It was tough because she didn't realize that I was "dieting" and made some of my favorites - but she completely understood when I explained and politetly declined her homemade fried chicken, and cake, etc.

Hope all this willpower pays off at WI tomorrow!

Yeah....I have had the flu for the last 5 days and it has screwed me all up....so ask me next week :p.

I have not heard of voiding the contract. Now I am perplexed!

It just means that you cannot get your money back if you do not lose between 3-5 lbs a week, because you did not do the plan perfectly. If you are not at goal when your contract is up, you can sign for additional weeks. If you are at a healthy fat % then you can stabilize anyway.
