Falling into a bit of a bad habit again - drinking a can of caffeinated cola in the afternoon. That has an effect on my evening eating and my sleep . Stops tomorrow as it's a long weekend and I can take a nap in the afternoon, rather than using the cola to keep going.

My plan for the long weekend didn't quite work out. Kept drinking cola and the diet pop prompted me to eat sugar which gave me huge leg cramps in the middle of the night. Not a lot of sleep. SIGH. Why are the bad habits so easy and the good ones so hard?

On a more positive note I found out that Canadians invented the butter tart.

I don't know that I've ever eaten a butter tart, but it sounds good! Maybe I know it by another name? I agree that bad habits are easy and good ones are hard. Bad habits are even easier when I have not been sleeping enough. At least I'm sticking to my 3x a week workout schedule, but I sure don't enjoy it. I like the results, though.

I have had a butter tart! I can definitely eat about 15 of them, Jay.

Me too! Although they are so rich and sweet that I'd probably hate the last 10 or so.

I'm traveling the week after this coming week--staying at a retreat center. I will have no control over the food, which is vegetarian. I have advised them of my food sensitivities.

What I eat will be the least of my concerns, and I think that's as it should be.

My body has decided that peanuts - in any form - are no longer digestible. Wish I didn't have to lose a night's sleep to discover that - could my stomach not have sent a simple email?

I'm getting ready to buy a "new" car in August. Hoping to score a demo vehicle. This is what I'm going to get - A Nissan Kicks SV. A teeny tiny SUV.

Probably 6. I never take out that many at a time but it's good to have extra capacity. I haven't sat inside a Kicks yet but I have examined several up close and I'm pretty sure I can fit 4-5 dogs comfortably - 4 on the seats and one in the hatch.
