I'm kind of glad for the wide variance in cold/hot temps and seasons here. I whine about it and definitely don't like to be out all day in snowfall but there are magnificent fall/winter sunrises and sunsets and I can really mark time passing.

This year the fall has been so mild and pleasant that I'm having a hard time physically realizing that it will be NOVEMBER on Friday.

We are 70s during the day and just this week starting to get down to 31 or 32 at night. I can't complain!
I know what you mean about enjoying the seasons, Dagmar. I grew up in NY and miss them sometimes. We have nice sunsets here, though.

Arizona was excellent and we had perfect weather. The hike went well, considering all my little disabilities. Now I'm ready to stay home for a while and take advantage of the cooler weather to work on my landscaping.

I haven't weighed in over a week (unusual for me), but I think I'm about the same, based on the pinch test.

I think we're going to have a lot of left over Halloween candy here. IIt's been pouring rain for the last 4 hours and shows no signs of letting up. DH is already pet sitting in front of the TV with his bowl of candy. I will give him a refill around 8 p.m. and then decide what to do with the rest.

Glad your hike went well Alice! Enjoy your landscaping!

Yesterday was the first time this fall I was tired from the cold temps. Have to complete my garden clean up too so that was an additional 1 1/2 hours outside. In the evening all I wanted to do was sit and eat. Sigh.

A recent blood test showed my vitamin D is low again. You wouldn't think it would be a problem in Fla., but the thing is no one wants to be out in the sun in the summer. And I got way too lax on taking a supplement. As in, I dropped it.

And of course, my bone density test results were not good. The two are related.

I'm hoping to get more sun now that the weather is better here, but I think I need a supplement too. And more calcium in my diet.

It is finally cold here. Mostly. Of course I still ran out in short sleeve because I was overheated inside the house this morning.

We had 10 inches of snow through the afternoon and night yesterday. Definitely NOT short-sleeve day today! I'm not craving extra calories for the cold - yet!

We are at minus 12 this morning but there's no wind and the sun is shining so it's a beautiful morning. this afternoon the wind picks up and the flurries move in - November is too early for this kind of weather up here but at least it's catapulted me into winter mode, rather than summer/fall where I've been stuck for awhile.

Dagmar, that's WAY too cold for November, even in your area!

I'm trying hard to put myself in a deficit mindset. I don't like water, but I'm trying to drink at least half a glass every time I think about it. And drink more tea.

:
Dagmar - Presume you mean minus 12 Celsius which is +14 degrees Fahrenheit. (Minus 12 Fahrenheit would be minus 24 Celsius - too cold for sane dogs to walk.)

We were +19 degrees Fahrenheit in the Boston area this morning. Cold enough for me.
