Keep on hanging in, Shannon!
I'm not taking the CBD specifically for anxiety. It was intended as pain relief and as a sleep aid. I certainly am an anxious person and it does seem to have a calming effect. I have to take it consistently and try to separate out what it is doing for me. I have a number of chemicals going in and out of my body every day so there's an overlap of effects/results.

I like routines and I haven't found a way to incorporate the CBD into any specific routine at night. Taking oil in a measured dose via syringe can be too much some nights. I do have to take it at night though so I'll have to figure something out.

Boy holidays are still hard! I fought the "it's a holiday I deserve this" thing last night re having a couple of alcoholic drinks. This was much easier to do when we still rented the storage unit. The leftover Christmas alcohol lived there. Now it's in our basement.

I won though! And I'll keep winning through the weekend with alcohol, chocolate, and cake all coming in the next couple of days.

DH brought me a box of Lindt bunnies and a very sweet card - "somebunny loves you". Awww

It's a very thoughtful and romantic gesture but now I have to figure out how to quietly get the bunnies to the food bank donation box. I have Belgian chocolate for us. We could eat the Lindt bunnies too but I figure someone whose kids won't have anything for Easter could enjoy them much more.

Stay strong, Dagmar!

I should have it easy for Easter as dh leaves Saturday for a 3 week trip, so I'll be alone...

I'm trying to figure out why my pants don't fit.... hubby says it's my booty from working out, so I hope he's right! In the meantime, it may be time to do some shopping!

Happy Easter everyone! May your chocolate bunnies be small but tasty

We are going to a group dinner. I'm bringing veggie dishes - glazed carrots, a warm roasted green bean and potato salad, and a cauliflower leek gratin, made with purple and green cauliflower so it looks Easter-y.

Happy Easter!

Two of DH's younger family members just moved here so we are having them over for Easter dinner. I baked a cake this morning using olive oil and I think it turned out OK. I'm making a pasta and spring vegetables dish to go with bacon wrapped pork tenderloins plus a big green salad. Mostly healthy!

Got through Easter will most of the bunnies left over. And two bottles of wine. The younger people were on a "cleanse".

I'm going to try to return the wine - apparently it's possible. I find if I have alcohol in the house I'm constantly arguing with myself about it. Less stressful to take it back.

Happy Easter Monday to those who are off work!

So, you walk 3 plus dogs together at a time?! I can manage my two (usually!) but can't imagine adding any more to the mix!

I walk anywhere from 1 - 5 dogs together. Yesterday one of the groups I had was the maximum the City allows - 6! Usually I walk 4-5 at a time. You develop skill managing groups - I've had over 25 years experience now and can handle 6 but my preferred group size is 4.

April is "Poetry Month," and I read one of my poems at an open mic poetry reading last night. It was fun, but it's always scary. Fortunately the audience was all other poets...

They had really good snacks! And I took advantage of them. They had a huge tray of petits fours, and I had only one... but I think I made up for it with the other tasty items.

Cool! Do you publish anywhere online? That we could read? And do you have recommendations of poets you like?

I read "The Summer Day" by Mary Oliver recently and really liked it. Plan to check out more of her poetry.
