I recently switched to alternatives. I really like the IP Apple Oatmeal, to me it has a real oatmeal texture. I purchased the Proti-diet Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal but I don't really like it as well. Has anyone tried the Proti-Thin or HealthSmart? Are they closer to the IP consistency?
I use the HealthSmart Maple Oatmeal and it's not bad. I prefer IP but I like the price of the HealthSmart also.
I was doing IP diet but it got too expensive and am looking for alternatives I was eating herb omelet soup and chips Can you help me find these alternative products.
The chips that I found that I like the best are
Proti Thin sour cream and fine herb
Proti Thin BBQ soy snacks
Quest Chips - I pretty much like all of them. The biggest issue for me is I immediately ate a 2nd bag so it somehow triggers overindulgence for me.
But, I don't find them as replacements for the IP BBQ Chips which are actually my favorite. They're different in taste and texture but I like them.
What are yopu using for alternative products I am new also and looking for these products Any help would be great
I read thru this thread and others about alternative products. I've found some great options.
Here are my go to options -
EAS Carb Control RTD
Quest Bar Cinnamon Roll
Proti thin Vanilla wafers (I think exactly the same as IP)
Proti diet Peanut butter and smooth Caramel crisp. (unrestricted!!)
Healthsmart Oatmeal
Proti thin bbq soy snacks
Proti thin sour cream and fine herb
Would the quest chips be considered restricted or unrestrictive. I am trying to do the diet using alternative products due to the cost. Calories 120 fat1.5, carbs 5, protein 21.
How do I determine if something is unrestrictive. Thanks for your help. Have been doing this for 12 days and have lost close to 10 pounds. Love it.

If you go to the very first page of this thread, the 2nd post has a complete breakdown of the nutritional information you need to match up to when choosing alternative products, as well as what is restricted vs unrestricted

You could - but make sure you count it as one of your packets for the day. Also, it's better not to get into the habit of combining your 8oz of protein with a packet (that's a lot of protein for your body to process in one sitting). On days when you might do a protein/packet combination, you could split up your protein (have 2-4 oz of protein with lunch) and use the protein/packet recipe with 4-6 oz of meat at dinner.
Want to start IP now with alternatives, no appointment help!
I simply cannot afford the appointments with a coach and all but I am reading great things here. Can someone give me the exact steps/lead me in a simple direction for getting started without having to search through hundreds of posts? Please, please, please!
It is going to take some research on your part. With a coach, you pay for the guidance. On your own, you must invest time (instead of money). We all did!
Here is the most recent alt thread. Take an hour and READ/learn. It works!
You will need to find the latest Phase 1 sheet showing allowed vegetables and recommended supplements to go with your 8 raw oz of lean protein.
Alts seem just as easy as doing it via IP, and you can post any questions you have on the Daily chat link.
Don't be intimidated by the website, it's pretty easy to find what you need. For inspiration on what is good on alternatives, check out the daily Alts thread.

Thank you so much! I am willing to put in the time. I am just intimidated by all the posts and wanted to know if there is an easier way to navigate around without rereading things over and over. I definately appreciate and will take your advice!

Thanks for the reassurance and suggestions. I will take any and all!
