Been away for the weekend. Staying 100% except for a couple drinks. Tomorrow is my first WI on my re-start. Can't wait to see how I've done so far. The first WI is the best motivator for me. I have had absolutely no energy for the last couple days. When it comes time for a meal I am completely starving, week dizzy etc. I'm looking forward to that passing.

Nice to see you again Jemma! You went away for the weekend and you stayed 100% except for a couple drinks...good job! Good luck on your WI tomorrow, you are going to do well. As far as the low energy, dizzy, hunger...hang in there, it will pass. Are you taking in enough sea salt? That is extremely important with low carbing.

There are LOTS of recipe threads to help with flavor and variety. Look at the first post of the daily chat (any day) for all of the links. I did a 3fc search for Big Mac Bowl and came up with all of these threads. Happy recipe finding!

I see that many IPers are using Premier as an alternative for the IP shakes. The differences are the IP shakes are 8 oz and the Premier's are 11 oz. So because there are 3 oz more per container, the Premier has 60 more calories and 15 more grams of Protein than the 8 oz container of the IP. 1 less gram of fat though so that is a good thing...

There is much more info on alternative products here

Woah! Quite a multi-quote!

I have been using the Premier Protein RTD shakes since early on, and I lose just fine. I normally buy the smaller size bottle (when my Sam's Club has them in stock), which has 100 calories and 18g protein. This matches very closely to IPs nutritional stats. (You can find these guidelines in the thread that Lisa linked above.)

If I have to buy the larger sized shakes, I just use 1/2 bottle at a time for 1 packet replacement, and stick the rest in the fridge. They have too much protein in a full bottle to be IP compliant. Remember, this plan is low carb, low cal, low fat, and MODERATE protein.

Be sure you get lots of water in especially if you've been drinking - alcohol can be really dehydrating which can make you weak, dizzy, etc.

I have to laugh, when I first saw a post about Big-mac in a bowl, I took it literal. I thought it was a Big-Mac from McDonalds in a bowl instead of on bread. LOL

I can't wait to try this recipe!!

I have always been a big water drinker. Maybe not this much but, I am making sure I'm drinking my water. Haven't been taking my vitamins though maybe that's the problem.

I tried the Big Mac in a Bowl last night and it was delicious. I made a few tweaks though, which I think could be helpful for someone having trouble getting in all their veggies. I made two servings at once, so I will have leftovers for another night. I mixed in 2 cups of mushrooms (chopped into small pieces) with the ground beef. I only used a small amount of lettuce and put 1/2 cup of zucchini (shredded in cheese grater) on top. I'm not a huge 1000 Island fan, but I did put some on my bowl and it was pretty good. I AM a huge hot sauce fan, so I put some Frank's Red Hot (make sure it is 0-0-0) on too. It was yummy and will be my "rainy day" meal from now on, since I usually grill when it is nice outside.
