HA, I live in Baton Rouge, 20 min south of Zachary!

Hey everyone. I haven't been in here in a while. Work has gotten really crazy. I figured out today I have 30 days left at work before I'm out of there for 9 months. I think they caught on to that too.

Anyway, we had some family illness/crises this weekend. You know us Southerners, the food started coming in. I'm only 2 lbs above my goal and have started a few days of Phase 1 to get it back down. I'm still going to Vegas in April, so I know I need to be at my goal weight by then.

Welcome everyone. Sorry I have to admit I've not read the past couple of pages. Just hang in there and enjoy the ride (both the program and this crazy forum)

Had to travel back to KY to see family and a funeral. Got tired of everyone warning me about loosing weight to fast or the I had a friend who lost too much weight stories...
I was able to stay on plan even with the southern tradition of eating while mourning. Glad to be home and back to my fridge.

A great man once said "It's not that they're ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't true."

Being on the program 70 days, there are a few things that were absolutely amazing. The belt went in another notch today. No biggie, the scale said a half a pound down, no biggie, it is now becoming the weekly routine, losing inches and losing pounds, whereas before it was absolutely amazing to me.
The wife found an old paper from 2004 I kept track of weighing myself once a week. I started the grapefruit diet and running about the same time. It took 6 months, and a lot of exercise to get where I am now (in half the time). And when I say lots of exercise, I mean it. I ran 7 half marathons in 2005, the Marine corps Marathon in 2006, the Milwaukee Marathon in 2007 and I was training for the Chicago Marathon in 2008 when I tore a calf muscle. I have never been the same since. The ravage of old age catches every man. Every time after that injury I would press myself to go hard, something else would break. Then the weight starting to pile back on.

So I can no longer exercise to excess, and the older I get, it becomes a lot more diet then exercise. This program has been a real blessing to me. Those first few days were rough, but there is no taste like skinny!

Hang tough newbies, take it from an old-timer who has been on the program 70 days...it gets easier and easier!

Just love the sound of that "Baton Rouge"
It has been a rough couple of weeks. But, I am hanging in there.
Last night met my youngest son and some of his friends for dinner. One of them left me standing in the waiting area, because she said it looked like me, but not big enough.....The apology accepted gladly. So, there is progress, and it can be seen by others.
So, everyone hang in there and press on.

My coach just informed me of some new IP products due out soon including non-restricted chips and brownies!

Also, they are releasing a phase-3 breakfast replacement for those who don’t have time to prepare the big breakfast.

Any other clinics not associated with this one that are closer? You can always order the IP products online or opt for alternatives.

WI this morning... Down 6 lbs!!!
Another 2+ inches.
Starting to get old hat only if it has been 5 weeks. Anyone else experiencing a lull in excitement? I did get the dill pickle zippers and it has to be my favorite. Nice and snappy for a snack.
