Okay, now that I've regained my composure...Ladies: Have you LOOKED at my weight lately? I'm still pretty meaty. But thank you very much for the compliment. They are a LOT thinner than they used to be!

I HAVE lost 5" in my legs :)
More to come...

Ok, now that I've looked at your weight, I see it's the same as mine, and we have close end goals (I really wanted to go to 160 -- could I be brave enough to try 150??hmmmm....). We'll be heading to one-derland together soon!
We must have similar builds. My legs are pretty slim and so it always comes as a shock when I see my picture (or the dreaded mirror). When I look DOWN, it doesn't look so bad if I focus from my knees down! LOL I swear it's that da*& camera that seems to add 30 or 40 pounds! (New thought: maybe DIGITAL pictures make me look larger--I was always way smaller on the "kodak instamatic" pictures from the 80s!)

Well, me too ( in the 80s) but, the camera? I think not. Perhaps it was the Jane Fonda workouts....didnt she do this?
Or just that " morning workout" that all the college guys would just sit & watch (if they were still up that late....)

This one is a big deal for me. When I first started the diet, DH was concerned that I was going to lose too much weight. So, to help him understand the goal, I told him I wanted to get rid of my love handles. Well, he didn't know what love handles were. So I showed him.

Well, this morning I looked at my back in the mirror and they are almost gone... Not completely, but getting close. :D (I do have marks where the 'creases' were, though, where they were since they had been there for so long.)

Ok so this might be a little TMI :)

So I was using the ladies room yesterday. Sat down on the commode, and I COULD FEEL MY BUTT BONES when I sat down. That was a new one on me. LOL :o

This made me laugh. :D Congrats, Scorbett!

OMG! I've been thinking that I felt my butt bones much more lately too. I had never heard anyone else mention this so I wasn't sure if that was just to weird to talk about. :o

My coach had me do an exercise where I picked a spot on my body that wouldn't normall feel pressure but where in a time of stress you could push on the spot to remember. The "to remember" part is whatever is important to you.
to remember your goals
to remember your achievements to date
to remember your promise to stay 100% OP
to remember you are worth it!
to remember nothing tastes as good as skinny feels

My spot is my hip bone. Instead of resting my hand on a fat roll, I can rest it on the hard shelf of my hip bone and remember how I got to where I was and where I am. That is a technique i had to use several times today to create NSV's where I could have made cheats. Work has been very stressful.

Fit into a pair of size M sweat pants I bought 2.5 years ago and never wore because I started gaining too much weight. They're a tad bit snug, but I don't care cuz they still fit!

You'll shrink into them in no time then they soon be too baggy!

So, I sit in preschooler chairs a LOT at work. Yesterday I felt my butt bones in one of those mini chairs. Of course the moment I felt that, who did I think of and WHERE was she sitting? :dizzy:

OK Lisa -- just sitting in a pre-schooler chair is an NSV in itself! I can get DOWN but the getting UP is harder. I have to do a "kneel onto the floor, then rise" technique. I bet you could put that into your "workout" -- and count the "ups and downs" as "squats"!!

Girl, I did it at 260 but I'll tell ya, I'll be a LOT prettier doing it at 150. I'm STILL not all that graceful getting up/down from the floor in preschool classrooms (which I also do daily), but MUCH more graceful than I was at 260, lemme tell ya!
I'm counting each up/down from now on! I like your thought process!

ROFL

I'm haunting you now. Me and the loo :)

Painful, yet awesome NSV to report:

I slammed right into the bannister of my staircase in my hip bone area. Well, with less cushion I now have a huge bruise. But, I'll take it! LOL

IdealProteinNewbie 01-19-2013 05:53 PM

My mom told me I looked "tiny" today.

Not true, but I am certainly much smaller than I was before and it was awesome to hear!!!
