I will on monday, but I have such huge hormonal issues, PCOS, menopause, hypothyroidism as well as others that I am not worried at all. I know my body has many quirks and it will all work out. This is a temporary slowdown, maybe due to hormones, maybe due to my workouts. One thing IP and this forum has taught me is to trust the process. Before I would have been frustrated, now I am patient. wow, as I reread, this is a huge NSV for me. wow, who knew! Have a great weekend. |
Yesterday we had a service project day...trail clearing at a local county park. My back can't take the work so I was the photographer. It meant walking off-trail down steep inclines in the woods to get great shots of people working really hard (I wish I could have helped more!). The GREAT NEWS is this: I could do it! At 260, I couldn't have gone down those inclines and done the amount of walking I did. I still took it easy b/c I have this chronic back condition but it wasn't my weight holding me back.
At the end of the day, we took a group picture. I'm no longer the fat girl in the group (tears typing that last sentence  -happy tears). I KNEW you guys would understand that one...esp all of you with 75+ lbs lost/to lose. There is something calming about looking more ordinary. We all want to be extraordinary but after years of being an outlier on the high-end, just being normal is fine with me! |

Lisa -Kudos on you work project and freedom to move around anywhere you ease! I agree, just blending in as one of the group is just fine with me too!!
|
Great job Lisa! I know what you mean about pictures...I used to either jump out of the way or hide behind others in the back. Feels amazing not to dread having my picture taken.
As for me...I have a HUGE pile of clothes to donate. A little sad only because there are quite a few really cute Ann Taylor tops that I love so much but soooo happy because they are practically tents on me now! |
NSV brags are wonderful. Congrats to all the great stories. I went shopping and got a few pants at the same price as some thrift stores from Kohls. Clearance racks plus additional coupons. Pants for $5-$18.
Pants are size 10-12 (shocking!). Still muffin top, yes Spanx will be worn until I lose and tone more belly fat. Clothes exchange I am giving mine to a women's shelter and other women I work with who are doing a weight loss program with a local clinic but not IP. When the other thread of people connecting for clothing exchange on this site was present, that was really heartwarming to read. |
Lisa-- Great NSV and feeling good about yourself in front of the camera. What an accomplishment :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot:

Lisa, great NSV!!
I calculated my Body mass index this morning. Down from 30.9 (obese) to 27. Still over weight but moving in the right direction. 13.2 more lbs to Normal!! |

About being normal...I went shopping today, and got some lighter weather clothes. Last spring=size 26W. Today=size 16. But I'm holding onto the receipt for shorts, because I may very well be down one more size before it's really "shorts" season around here. :D |
Whoop whoop Lisa! I have an inspirational pic on my treadmill that reads, "not to be remembered as the fat one!" I so agree about pictures.
My NSV was wearing my size * jeans today and they were baggy in places! When I bought them I could barely do them up! Great feeling! |
I am so happy that my husband ask me if I pooped my pants !!!! Guess they are so baggy it looks like it LOL
Also got to wear my high boots that I purchased in Spain , they barely fit in the calfs but the sure do now ... :) |
Great NSV everyone!!! I love reading them everyday :carrot::carrot:
I had one today too :D One of the other swim Mom's told me today that I was looking really skinny :) Mind you I have a long way to go before I am skinny but hearing it from the particular Mom made me feel really great :carrot::carrot::carrot: |
Good for YOU isa!
Lisa-
We all share that fear and dislike of the camera......it Doesn't lie...and lasts too %4#!!* long! We took professional family photos on the beach last spring on an entire family vacation in Mexico...I told my husband I want a "do-over" when I am done! |
